Ummm....Why is this thing $50k? Where is GM Marketing Director, I have questions!
I thought the Elephant in the Room was it was priced at $50k.....Again, overpriced.
I own one had it since February and just love it and I think it is the best looking suv out there I went from a lexus rx to this. Plus I hate the way the front grills on the Lexus look. 😎😎😎
Well I hope when it hits 100k miles it’s still running
Oh stop. Guy at work has a transverse that has 300 k and no promblems. Most any car will run 150 k now with no promblem. Seen plenty of Honda trans go out at 100k . Ford and Chevy trucks can both go hundreds of thousands of miles🤙.
@@gregblack8550 These people act like GM is still putting out junk like the mid-90s or something. It's not the case. Quality ratings between makers are very comparable now for most models. GM trucks will run forever.
@@friskmall6327 It's a Chevy so it will just be getting started
I like it but 50K seems a little pricey for this car.
True
Benjamin Burkhardt
Omg the Ford Edge is an ugly vehicle with no style. It has looked the same for 10 years or more. 🤮
The price needs to come down for this if the price does not drop the Blazer is will sleep in the grave forever.
I must admit your review and energy was superb!
Thank you, bsimpo18. We appreciate you watching!
Excellent and very informative review! I love this vehicle, but I just cannot get past the insane prices
They dazzle us with the technology and freak us out with the prices
I totally agree with you, this car is too expensive.
@@Mack-ht4mw If you pay anything close to MSRP for a Chevy then you've been taken for a ride my friend... NEVER and I mean NEVER pay anything close to MSRP for a GM product, they are always have rebates going on.
NEVER pay MSRP on a GM product including Cadillac's. Also no one is telling you to get this Blazer fully loaded, the lower trims are a good value for the vehicles size even without considering discounts and haggling.
If you go at the right time of year and your good at negotiating, its not uncommon to see some people get OVER 6-8K off the MSRP of a Chevy that cost this much... (Covid shortages causing price gouging not applicable)
Great styling on the outside, nicer than Chevy usual interior, solid ride and handling. At 50k, a no go. At 38-40k, would consider it
Fortunately, it starts around $28,800, canonlybeme4life. Unfortunately, you won't get the RS styling for that price, but it should drive similarly. Call us impressed and thanks for watching!
You can grab rs models now around 33-40k in the tristate area
I bought a new Blazer in 1974, for $10,000, and that was more of a truck .And it had a V-8 Now $50 grand for this....you got to be kidding
I feel your pain brother. I would of love to see a Blazer build on a Colorado chassis and given the ZR2 package!
Great video, I remember when I first got a Blazer back in 1996, 50k for a smaller suv?!?! Only if it had 15k in rebates lol
Good review but 50k is to much for a Chevy blazer
This one was up there in price, but the Blazer starts around $29k. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Totally agree. I can't understand how you can option up Chevy, with 23K in options?
Thank you sir , this video is one of the best on point informative review.
We appreciate your comments, Moe O. Thanks for watching!
I like it, I been with this 2008 5.3 liter V8 Chevy Impala for over 10 year's now, this Blazer would be an welcome up grade, I really like it!!!
Woow! I love this guys spirit. Subscribed.
We appreciate your support, J 4. Thanks for watching!
I love your videos mannn 🔥
We appreciate you, inflow divide!
Nice looking SUV...reminds me of the Grand Cherokee! Looks great in red!!
That red was amazing, Melissa. Even better in person!
u crazy
Very informative video, thank you! 👍😊
We appreciate your comments, Farid Alghali. Thanks for watching!
First time I heard good review about Chevy Blazer. Great 👍
Thank you, Julio Ruata. We appreciate you watching!
Good video and good review. Thanks you!
We appreciate your comments, Rambo Delajoya. Thanks for watching!
Good review, thank you 🤙🏾
Thank you for watching, Midi Abubakar!
my plan is to wait til spring of next year that way there will be some with like between 2k-5k miles so the price will be like 30-40K
$50K must be the top of the line model. I can't imagine a base model being that expensive.
Yeah, this RS was loaded, Brent Quarles. The Blazer starts around $29k. Thanks for watching!
43000
The base model(1LT) starts at 28k. This trim reviewed in this video is the RS which is like the sports version of the Blazer with lots of packed features. The starting price of the RS is 40k
Over price :/ 35k max for this SUV
This is the fully loaded model. They are definitely under 30k.
Once the hype dies down you can get this one for 10-15k less so that 35k is achievable.. give it till the end of 2019
@@LegendRonk I hope so. And this is not even the top model! The premier is suppose to be top model. How much will that be?
@@LegendRonk everyone, LISTEN TO THIS MAN! He knows GMs game, ignore that 50k number, you wont pay that unless you're a fool.
charles walkes this is the top of the line it’s better than the premier
I just bought a new 2019 Blazer RS for 36k and I love it.
Enjoy your Blazer, dan skwarek, and thanks for watching!
GM naming this thing Blazer was just....wrong.
How?
Good Review! Thank you .
Thanks for watching, James Travis!
90 percent of the comments say too pricey, is there anything else to say ?
Thank you for the upload. That blazer was stuffed to the gills with features!
Side note, price bump was par for the course. Buying a top line Lexus, Mercedes or today’s crowd favorite, Tesla. Staring costs , easily over 80k. Although, heated/cooling seats are wonderful.
Thanks for watching, T.j. Hanna!
I will be happy when the SUV craze ends.
The SUV craze has been ongoing for over two decades now. I'm not sure it's going anywhere for the time being.
When gas hits 4 dollers a gallon for 6 months straight you will see suv sale plummet .
@@gregblack8550 When gas hits $4 a gallon for six straight months, a lot of things will plummet. Still, that hasn't been the case in over a decade now and it may not happen again for quite a while.
I kept wondering why the name bothers people and finally realized, I grew up with the S-10 Blazer being more prevalent than the old school boxy ones. So to me, it makes sense that it would have become a crossover by now. The fact that it's cool looking, decent to drive, and has a good engine is just a bonus.
The prices are ridiculous. But I noticed a long time ago that GM/Ford/FCA have started to price their MSRP a little high because they constantly have discounts. Blazers and Traverses in Austin are being advertised with anywhere from $4000-7000 off the sticker.
For that price, this FIAT concept must come with the corvette LSX package.
HOLY EFFN SH!%.... $50k! Did I miss something here or is every car company a luxury brand now! For $50k I need to see way more luxury in this thing
The 50k price tag and chinsey non turbo v6 makes it scream “ I am not a Blazer , I am over priced and under powered” 50k should buy a SS 8 cyl Blazer
Question, which one is faster blazer rs or explorer sport???
The new Blazer is packed with features and customers are really loving that front end fascia on the RS version. Great video - thanks for sharing!
Sorry. Everyone I talked doesn't really like this car. Inside is typical chevey boring or they copy other car companies, the way they mounted the 8 inch screen is prime example. Badging looks stupid that high up on the door. Way too expensive just to get one with good options. Low sales ahead for this car.
After 20 years it's about time Chevy changed the Blazer's design
I just bought one of these there fucken awsome I test drove Cadillac xt5’s and still come back to this vehicle just a gorgeous little vehicle interior is nicest interior I’ve ever seen yes the price is high though
It`s cool, but they made it look like every other crossover except the grill. They should have went with a more square body. Look at Mitsubishi Eclipse cross & the Outlander and they are essentially the same looking vehicles as the Blazer.
best chevy blazer video 📹 and I have watch a lot
I'll admit it i do like the look of it but damn $50k that's way too much in my opinion maybe $35k tops. that trim level makes it look like it's competing with the Durango R/T or something in that trim level
I like your video but I don't like this crossover.
That's fair enough, Ugotthat Right. LoL Good news is we'll have something new to share with you next time. We appreciate your comment and thanks for watching!
LOL such a good start to a video
Ha! Sometimes real life can be very entertaining, Riyad Kalla. Thanks for watching!
I look forward to buying one of these in 10 years for 1500
"...The Blazer is the family vehicle that actually appeals to the whole family, and for that reason it upsets the Honda(Passport)on its home court."
I think the Motor Trend staff was weeping when they wrote that!
This blazer has a lot of swag !
Thanks for watching, Peacze!
Those low profile tires are all I need to see. No off road capability. NOT A BLAZER.
The fact this has a normal V6 and the transmission isn't a CVT or dual clutch is doing alot for me and I haven't even test driven it yet.
I also like the fact this has a more robust AWD system then most of the competition. I'm not even a massive SUV fan but I gotta admit I really like the Blazer for some reason...
And before someone brings up "the MSRP is too high!" it's the cheapest 300+ HP mid size 2 row you can buy, no ones telling you to get it fully loaded, and if you pay anything close to MSRP for a Chevy you've been thoroughly taken for a ride... Get this for 4-6k off its MSRP and its one hell of a bargain for a new mid size SUV even with it's typical GM quirks factored in.
Also did I mention no CVT and the option of a V6 over a small turbo engine? Take my money, I'm sold even without the test drive.
I found this channel by accident but I am glad I did.
Chris seems to be a Fine Young Man and his reviews are enjoyable to view.
Likable guy with a nice smile...
As for this 'New Blazer'. Sorry no way for me. Not just because it is pricey either.
I was a STOUT GM guy for over 35 years up and until 2007. (Born and Raised in Flint)
However, GM's Quality & Reliability has gone way down hill over the last few decades.
As much as I tried to stick with GM I finally switched over to Toyota simply because they last a lot longer, built better, safer, etc.
Now the old K5 Blazer was a very good vehicle. Mini Tanks.
This new one? I am curious to see what problems will crop up and how fast they break down.
We're happy you found us, OldDood. Thanks for watching!
I was intrigued until he said 50k+!
Damn i thought this was 50 grand Canadian from other sites. I guess i was reading U.S. reviews. I love the looks but this will be crazy expensive here in Canada. Great review though. I subscribed.
We appreciate your support, Quincee 33. Thanks for watching!
They have a concept 4 door Camaro ZL1
GM must have meant 51,000 * $0.75 = $38,250. This is the better price
It needs a touch up. Ask for a v8.put the 5.3 liter in it. How is the materials? Do you think it will look extremely different after three years of ownership? It might go on some road trips. Do you think this is a family vehicle or a single person vehicle? They should have named it something else like the big splashy or something. It's very noticeable.
Best looking SUV hands down
what are the different trim models and prices?
look it up moron
we wanted something like the k5 or the s10 Blazer....instead we got a mini SUV
Crossover*
best looking suv i have seen i want one
They do look nice, Roger Kremer. Especially the RS in this red. Thanks for watching!
so what will be the price of the SS then? if this price is 50k so over price. about 30k sounds about right.
Make one more package the SS and stuff a v8 in it making over 400 hp and ft lbs and I'm game.
Had the Powertrain been longitude and offer Awd like the Typhoon and Syclone, I could seen $50,000. But this is a over priced econo box.
Price..??
Bro, I gotta be honest. My 2013 Chevy Impala's armrest does the same thing!🤦
Hmm. Let's hope it wasn't designed that way. LOL Thanks for watching, Bennie Mangle Jr.!
They should make a Police Interceptor version to compete with the explorer.
That would probably look pretty cool, G P. Thanks for watching!
What’s the soundtrack Heard it from muscle car of the week.
Hi, Let's Go !!!!! We list the soundtracks used in the description of each of our videos so you'll find the 3 songs there. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
People talking like 50k isn’t average for suvs these days
I got one love it
Enjoy your Blazer, DENNIS LORELLO, and thanks for watching!
On the positive at least you know your not going to pass out from exhaust fumes like the Ford explorer
Why is it a 4 door Camaro?. It’s just a gussied up transverse which is not a great suv to start with.I thought the cx9 felt sporty compared to this.
I want this SUV, but the only deal breaker is the price...I'm going to wait until March/April so it can be much cheaper..
New supra also 50k
What type of gas does it take
The Blazer takes regular fuel, L.O.G BLAST. In case you check out any of our other reviews, we typically state it during the fuel economy section 4:29. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I love this suv
Overall, it truly is a nice vehicle, Ms. Mocha. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2014 Equinox LT2 with the V6, sunroof, navigation, leather interior, power liftgate, cross roof rails, etc. IT WAS LESS THAN $35,000. This Blazer is OVERPRICED !!!!!!!
You made a typical horrible decision getting a GM over a Toyota or Honda.
Welcome back Chevy trailblazer
I want one
I can't wait til somebody does an engine swap ls3 lt1 lt4 👀
If it does happen, it would had to be a LS4 or some new LT Engine. The engine is mounted transverse, like the front wheel drive monte carlo and grand prix.
But, in 5 years will the doors still close? I seriously doubt it. There was a time when GM could make a car that had doors that would close 50 years later, for some reason they stopped that practice, I guess to run customers off, no idea why.
i traded in a 2012 tahoe for my blazer...all 5 doors closed just fine
They should've put the 4.3 back in it.
Why so they could lose 120hp and use a less efficient heavier motor. LOL you suggest the 4.3 over this 3.6
I have the opportunity to test drive one while I was out SUV shopping. True one very awesome vehicle and I loved it but it's priced out of my budget, like by about twenty Grand. Shame.
50k new. Once you drive off the lot. 30k!..Zero resale value.
You wont pay 50k new. Chevy will put cash on the hood and lease cash into the terms. No one will pay full price so I ignore that number completely.
Cars arent investments, they are a utility. If you want an investment buy a 911.
Looks like a affordable lamborghini Urus 😂
I own it and it is just as fast as my 6 cyl Mustang. It's a hoot to drive.
Thanks for sharing, kevin blaney, and for watching, too!
50 K.......?
For 50k i can get me a Lexus
But why?
Nice car but expensive . It’s not worth it there is Ali lot of better choices for same price .
50k? nah id say about 30k would sale more...and make an SS model! Now that would be worth 50k plus! @3:24 that was depressing
So this is how Mexico is gonna pay for that wall..
where's the off road test, Bet my 2000 blazer would own this whannabe
Off-road your 2000 Blazer most likely would own it, J Seid. After all, this Blazer is the RS trim, which is why it wouldn't make sense to take it off-road. But on the road, this vehicle was way better than arguably any crossover/SUV made in 2000. Thanks for watching!
Very nice review.
The vehicle is overpriced though.
Thanks for watching, Enforcer1975!
No thanks, 8k too much! And why steal styling from 2016-2018 Camaro in 2019, front, dash & tail light inspiration?? Chevy Failed.
It's ok but I hate that 8 inch screen. Why are car companies doing that now. Just put it in the dash instead of making it look like they mounted a very small flat screen on the dash. People who own cars like that will tell you it's a pain in the ass to clean behind them. What is up with the badging so high up on the door. 50 grand, no way.
True price is too high,,
30 or 35 will be perfect
@@ricksev6872 what you mean get real ?
ZL1 yeah 50k RS no way
Rather have the 79
50K for another meh crossover? Sorry For that money I want a little less plastic. LOL off road mode? Is that when people see a mud puddle? No one will take that off road. Chevy just added that to charge more.
They should have called it a Camaro SUV
I 100% agree, Camaro-V, or Camaro Blaze, or Camaro XT, just not a Blazer
@@XLLR8ing2 have you seen that four door Camaro Concept ZL1
@@jamisonsmith9761 never knew that existed until now, I just googled it!
@@XLLR8ing2 I have a picture of it saved in my phone but I don't know how to transfer to UA-cam comments
@@jamisonsmith9761 now theres a rumor the Camaro is gonna get axed
how about 6.2 LT1? that what it needs, its not worth the money
Lmaooooo that's a blazer or a fancy Ford escape. Very disappointed with the design , what ever happened to the tuff look of American muscle cars? 😪
Yes and these people act like the type r Honda is the bees knees for 40 k after markup. If they drove s camaro ss with 455 hp and fantastic handling for the same money they would convert there as well. Hell you can roll a gt mustang for close to 30 at base model if you deal. 460 hp and I know damn well both those cars will go 150 k with running the piss out of them.
It would've been better off with the name Captiva instead of Blazer
in this price range traverse is much better choice
