    Been looking forward to this review from car Confections!! I am not typically a Chevy guy. But the styling on this blazer is , like you said, provocative. The 360 camera is really raising the standard and I imagine will be followed by other manufacturers soon. Yes I am looking forward to a SS and a ZR1 version lol. But we'll see. Thanks again .

    Great review as always. I really appreciated you taking it on the highway to see the pick up speed. I had a 2010 Camaro and loved to drive it minus the problem with blind spots. That first year model did not offer back up cameras or Navigation and no storage. This Blazer adds a lot to what my Camaro lacked. I like it. Headlights are a little weird though! Still may have to check this one out. Thanks for reviewing.

I enjoyed the review tho I'm not a Chevy guy I do like what Chevy did in bringing back the Blazer nameplate. Other than the Camaro, Blazer looks like nothing else across GM.

    I've seen this car reviewed by a mutual youtuber "Prime Autotainment", and as I commented during that review, overall, I think the car is definitely worth a look when shopping for this class of vehicle and I can see a lot of different styling cues from other automakers, such as Saab for one. However, I also noted that I did not care for the placement of the start/stop button, that feeling remains the same. I also don't really care for the placement of the headlights, this is a feeling I've carried over from when Jeep implemented it on the Cherokee. I just don't think it makes for good overall visibility. Overall, I don't think anyone would be disappointed with purchasing this vehicle and it'll be interesting to see how it sells overall.

    All the Blazer needs is a TTV6 option with a performance-based AWD system and it'll be a beast! The exterior styling and interior are solid enough!

  • @andybub45
    @andybub45 5 років тому +5

    Unlike lots of people, I think it is really nice. People think that it's supposed to be an off roader like the K5, but it's actually not. I dont remember there being an ad about it off roading. I wonder if it will get more sales than the equinox. I think that it is trying to be an equinox with more room and a V6. This is another great design from Chevy!

    • @Elevation86
      @Elevation86 5 років тому

      Andy's Shop thats the thing, why not make it an off road capable body on frame 4x4? with the equinox and the newly udpadted traverse already in Chevys line-up, this vehicle really makes no sense, and to ruin an iconic name like the Blazer, trying to hit that nostalgia factor in previous blazer owners is a major fail.
      This should have been a body on frame, 4x4 that could have been direct competition for the wrangler, and Fords new bronco. A base model, with rear wheel drive and turbo charged 4cyl coming in at 28k would have made an awesome street SUV, 3.6 V6 4x4 option at around 33-36k, and a high end V8 model at around 45k would have made big splash on the market, not everyone wants to drive a soccer mom vehicle, sadly this poor rendition of a "blazer" will fade away in a few years

    • @andybub45
      @andybub45 5 років тому

      Well, how many people would actually use a blazer as an off roader even if it was a body on frame and had the capability? I have seen so many people with jeep wranglers and 4runners just daily driving.

    • @Elevation86
      @Elevation86 5 років тому

      Andy's Shop I've owned a 95 Blazer and a 2002 Blazer, and live in Southern California, so I didn't have a whole lot of need for 4x4, but the hand full of times that I actually did require it was more than enough reason for me to justify it.
      And honestly for as many soccer Mom's that have more than enough crossovers to choose from, there's just as many fathers like myself who just simply prefer the rugged feel and look of a body on frame truck like vehicle, that doesn't feel like a large sedan, thats still capable of hauling a family of 4-6 on the weekends. It would be a great compromise for families who may only be able to afford one vehicle.

      Agreed, if I'm paying close to $50k or more, I'm looking at something else ...it's a lot of $$$$ for a SUV that isn't that cutting edge .. It's a Chevy and at least with the Tahoe/Suburban, it's bigger and comes with V-8 power ..

      Rich Ki. Exactly..couldn’t agree more..I’m just fascinated that Chevy believes people who have $50,000 thousand dollars would even consider this car..if I had $50,000 I most likely would not be at a Chevy dealer ..in less Im in the market for a very large suv

      You have to realize that GM MSRP is always high because it discounts months later. I'm waiting for July 4th GM and dealer pricing. Take a look at the GM Authority website.

    I'm having a hard time comprehending this vehicle. You say it's a Camaro on stilts, but to me it looks like an Equinox in a suit. Are they relegating the Equinox to the "compact crossover" class and the Blazer taking up the "midsize crossover" segment?

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  5 років тому

      Yeah that's what they're going for. The Equinox is priced against compact crossovers even though it's always been a bit larger than the average rival

      HIdeous? This is the best looking SUV out there. I, personally, like sporty and sleek vehicles. But, I'd also like something with more room than my 2010 Camaro for my next vehicle. The new Blazer fits exactly what I want. Good sporty looks with the versatility/room of an suv or sedan.
