Great detailed review. I always appreciate your open minded approach. I thought I’d check out after 2 minutes - but you got me liking it enough to stay till the end. It’s a Blazer in name only. Looks like a variety of other manufacturers depending on which view you’re seeing. In the end - I’m surprised to say it looks really nice. Seems like a quality package. But yeah the price (without AWD) at 48k is pretty steep. If I was shopping for that market - I’d certainly include the Blazer in my search ... it seems worthy of consideration for sure. Thnx Joe

A full removable top , big seats with little gadgets 4 wheel drive options and almost identical look as the 69 ! We wanted a wide stance with a superior v 8 engine duel captain seats we with a rear split bench seat! The closest vehicle I have found to the blazer is the 2000 Escalade! Which sits in my drive today! My kid loves it and so do I! We do love the Silverado from 2014 to present! This looks like a grandmothers grocery store suv!

I really like them. My Girl has a 2019 Blazer AWD V6 RS Model. She paid a tad over 40k fully loaded, sticker was 49,000. They look great in person and are decently quick, sub 7 seconds 0-60.
I dont think GM should of called it the Blazer, I was thinking Trailblazer, but then again, GM is making a new Trailblazer now which is the smaller brother to this one, which will compete with the Escape.
Everyone complaining about price, the price starts at the same price as the Ford Edge, its competitor. The Edge starts at 30K and fully loaded they are $53k, while the Blazer starts at 30k and full loaded goes to $54k.

Unfortunately, it feels like Chevy took the news that Ford was coming out with a new Bronco, and wanted to compete, so they dropped the Blazer name onto the next SUV that was in their production line, so they could get it out first. mattbruno1 I really don’t understand it either & I have no idea how so many people can afford $48-50k SUVs. I still can’t believe how much Ford is getting for a brand new ‘left over’ 2017 Focus RS. $40k for a tiny Hatchback is ridiculous & I refuse to waste that kind of cash on a vehicle. I just saw the pricing on the 2020 Explorer ST & it’s well over 50k. It’s getting out of control.

What nobody is discussing is the fact that this new blazer fits into the mid-size sport suv category along side the Jaguar E-Pace or Land Rover Evoque. Those both retail for $52-54 k with the same options and engine size. For that reason, this vehicle fills a nice niche. Using the Blazer insignia may or may not be the right choice, but the vehicle itself appears to be solid and sporty and sexy. Just not for any off-road duties, YET (maybe a Trail Blazer to come?).

Richard Skipper For over $50k, yea it is.
That’s not enough power to even get a Camaro moving that quick. 0-60 in 6.5, that’s slower than modern day pickups.
It looks way too aggressive for what it actually is, they should of gone all out and brought us their own Grand Cherokee SRT /Trackhawk on the Alpha frame instead of this since they didn’t make it a rugged off-road SUV like the original Blazer.
Plus the Ford Edge ST puts down 335HP and 380TQ with the 10-speed , and does 0-60 in 5.7 for a couple thousand less.
Why would you pay more for less?
