This week our first five 2019 Blazers arrived including two RS models. I am really liking this all new vehicle. Photos and videos do not do it justice, you'll love it! so go check it out! We put our first one on the showroom floor and it sold a couple hours later.
I like the sporty look and feel of the RS model. It handles great, has great performance, tons of tech features and much more.
It is worth taking a look at if you are in the market for a two row, mid sized suv/crossover.

That was a brilliant review and you covered so many points that other reviewers frequently miss. I'm 71 and in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This late spring I'll definitely check it out. I appreciate you mentioning that you're 6'5" as I'm 6'3, and the level of comfort on this point is important to me. The info entertainment screen is perfectly and thoughtfully placed, other vehicle manufactures should take note. What I best like is that the Blazer, regardless of my age, is sporty and has a lot of practical space (with a divider) for my beefy rottweiler. Further, the stop & go feature that can't be turned off is a definite let down, and in winter does the heat go off with the motor turned off?. Although you gave it an example of quick response, I'm guessing this is going to cause a lot of starter issues over time. But that said, I still fell in love with it. I've spent a lot of time this winter studying reviews of different suv's and this may be the baby. You set a high benchmark for other reviewers. So, keep up the good work, and a big thank you!

Stellar review there sir! I actually played around with an RS at our local dealership this evening, and was really rather impressed. I’m getting towards the end of the lease on my Terrain, and this one is certainly a contender for my next motor. Your fair, engaging, and seemingly impartial review was refreshing, and you touched on some important details to boot (rear headroom height and AWD selector to name but a few).
I believe this video review will get people banging down your door when they need a new motor, just so they can work with you. If I weren’t based in the sub-tropical climes of SouthWest Michigan, I would say my next vehicle would coming from you!

That is a CAMARO SUV , what I think that would be Beautiful on the V6 RS is a Dark Tan Leather seats and Interior, but anyway it is a beautiful SUV!
It definitely has a Camaro feel. I like it! It handles very well!

Good review. Most cars today have that start/stop feature so this isn't a criticism of Chevy by any means BUT can anyone tell me why they even have this system? Seems to me it would put a "strain" on the starter by overworking it and what if I am stuck on I95 on a 90 degree day sitting in traffic for 20 minutes and the A/C is on. What is running the compressor? Also when in a traffic jam you inch up two feet, stop, inch up two feet stop, etc. I just don't get it and maybe I am too old to get it. Anyway a very nice SUV. I bought a new 18 Toyota XLE Hybrid and love it,
Hi Louis, in the Blazer the system is all computerized. If you have many accessories on it may not go into auto stop... for 2020 Blazer GM will be adding an off button to the system. This system was designed to help manufacturers pick up gas mileage for their CAFE standards.. small fractions of savings adds up. Enjoy your Toyota ☺
@@DaveBsellsChevy Thanks for the info. Love your videos as I get to see Chevy vehicles. Owned a few in my day. Nice to know the start/stop system won't take away from the driving enjoyment. By the way this isn't to "butter" you up but I have never not owned a pickem' up truck. I now own a Titan but I can tell you nothing rides like a Chevy truck. I had a Mercury one time and it was in the shop and they only had an F150 for a loaner and it was a Rough, then me friend has a RAM and it was even Rougher. Chevy trucks literally ride like Caddies. I don't now why but they do. The Titan is smooth but not as smooth as a Chevy. I first looked at a Silverado before buying the Titan but the deal went sour (if you get my drift) and I am an easy guy to deal with, I never try to get the last nickel bit it just didn't work out.

I hear it is built in Mexico. I like the look of this Blazer better than others. Reliability will tell the tale. For half the price of this 2019, I purchased a new 2011 Kia Sorento (built in West Point, GA) back in 2010. After more than eight years and 80k miles, I have come out of pocket for routine maintenance and one battery. That's all! I prefer to buy the Blazer if GM can match the same bang-for-the-buck!
Yes, they are building it in Mexico. It would be nice to see them move production here to the US, but who knows... The Kia has provided you with a Great ownership experience! When you are ready for a new vehicle definitely stop by your local Chevy dealer to check out the Blazer and see what you think.
I’d buy a black one with AWD, RS model fully loaded. Nice!
Correction: AWD (the first selection clockwise on the dial) it stays in even when shut off. Also, to defeat the autostop, put gearshift in L, run it up to top gear. The car will drive normally, no autostop.
It's not designed to be operated that way, hundreds of times.
Really cool looking suv but I wish the RS came with ah ATS turbo V6 or the CT6 V v8 engine

I would prefer a turbo diesel engine in that sucker, torque monster and burns clean and last way longer than a traditional engine.
GM isn't a restaurant. U cannot custom spec a vehicle to your "wishes" LoL. Even if U could, That would push the already "too high" pricing considerably higher!
Can you tell me if the RS comes with the front lighted bowtie as standard?

Hi, Can you tell me if the Blazer has front sensors for parking assist proximity??
It does not have front sensors... only available with rear... there is an option front camera depending on the trim level

I’m going to have to sit in the blazer myself because I love the outside of it & the 305Hp V6 engine. The only thing I don’t like is the placement of the infotainment system, why is it so high and close up the dash?
I think you'll love the Blazer! Not sure why they placed the screen where they did, maybe modeling after the Camaro

The Blazer has definitely grown on me, I'm starting to really like it. My only gripe would be the red vent rings on the RS. I like the red stitching but those red vents just look cheesy to me. Wish they'd offer them in a dark chrome or black to match the black bowtie in the steering wheel.
They are really not that bad in person, however it would probably be easy to customize... removed and painted or replaced with ones from one of the other Blazer models.

@@DaveBsellsChevy Gotta admit I was highly upset at first with the new design, but when I heard it was based on the crossover line of vehicle I became more intrigued. The v6 awd package will be worth looking into especially the RS version👍😊.

I was interested in the New 2019 Chevy Blazer until I looked at the trim level I wanted and options that priced out at over $51,000 ..... For the incredibly high options and sticker $$$$$ they can keep it ...
When driving on the highway between 65 - 75 not on smooth, but cracked or bumpy highway, do you hear a hollow rumbling noise? It's no loud, but subtle.
Nothing that I took notice to.
AS a new chevy guy looks good my wife has a 2014 explorer sport im just not into the feel as a camaro guy feels like a bus i feel like the price is fair sweet spot would b 5 grand less on each model only thing i dont like is the car shuts off at lights??is there a setting to shut that feature off and does all models have it...it may not be a big reason to not buy if its not faulty but new models can have problems i lost powersterring once in brand new ss needed a rack and heard of faulty torque converters thats on a camaro tho would deff consider a trade in in a year or two since her suv is paid off

Does The Chevy Traverse,Silverado and Suburban have automatic parking assist?
They have parking sensors but do not have a system that will actively steer you into a spot like some of our other vehicles

Yea, I think they reserve that for Cadillac... My new Bolt EV is LED headlights/taillights but no reverse or turn signals :(

Great Question! Yes, The FWD and AWD will stay in their mode.... if you had it in "mountain" or 'towing" it will default FWD on the next start up
I wish the touch screen filled in the entire screen, because I love the shape of it, but its just a square screen inside a cool design. Thats my only gripe out this vehicle, and same with the camaro.

I like it But Chevy did not put Heads Up Display ! in the vehicle! Chevy puts a Camera rear view mirror in the blazer but no HUD. Deal breaker, I know I’m being picky but at $48K come on Chevy.

I’m not a fan of this Blazer. I think it is overpriced for what you get and the Honda Pilot or Passport has more standard safety features at a lower price. (LX or Sport.) Just one man’s opinion. Great review though and thanks for your sales series.

Now,in dark era when so many in the US (THE country of Americans Sedans) don’t care for real class Sedans anymore (very sad about that but it is what it is) it’s time for bringing some styled look to the lousy 📦 boring SUV’s/CUV’s!!!
GM done something very nice indeed keep it so and maybe one day one will actually will be proud to own of this.

WHY DIDN'T THEY BUILD A 1977 BLAZER LOOK A LIKE WITH ZR1 FRAME AND LOCKING FRONT AND REAR AXLES AND 6 INCH LIFT AND 35 INCH TIRES. 😂

@@DaveBsellsChevy Also the removable bolt down REAR seats. My 1977 BLAZER was buckskin PAINT with black top ,mirrors bumpers, grill , head light bezels black out PAINT. Manager told me that was the sharpest BLAZER he ever saw , also it 8 spoke CHROME wheels ,BF Goodrich AT tires 😎

I wonder how long until those 3.6 V6’s start coming in AGAIN with problems? Sat in one the other day and Chevy nailed the ergonomics but that 6 cylinder engine is a proven lemon.

start/stop feature, especially if you can't shut it off, should be an automatic NO BUY for anyone looking into any vehicle. esp for chev products. The last 2018 Malibu I drove with this feature was unbelievably bad.
So far the only vehicles that have the off button are the new 2019 Silverado and Cruze. Hopefully they add it to all the vehicles

really? I don't mind it on the Blazer. I'm not necessarily a fan of the "Silverado" on the front fender of those trucks but maybe I'll get used to it.
This whole vehicle is appaling. Blazers used to be real SUVs, not these soccer mom cars on stilts.

@@DaveBsellsChevy Oh yeah. Has everything you need and it looks good enough to turn and look at as you walk away, unlike alot of these overpriced "luxury" utility vehicles. Hopefully premium pack will offer massage driver seat in the future to really put pressure on the competition. Great package overall if priced right.

so I've priced the following 2019 mid-size SUV's: Ford Edge ST, Lincoln Nautilus, Audi Q7, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited: Sticker price on these equally equipped SUV's: $48K-70K for the Audi. The price of tea in china....

Yes made in Mexico. Other GM vehicles are made in Canada. (Camaro, Equinox, Impala) If you buy a KIA or a Hyundai that are built here in the USA, the profits go to.....South Korea. GM profits stay in the USA.
With General Motors leaving the Hummer brand in the history books, they could have stormed out of the gates with their new mud slinging daily. Hell, they could have even just made it a mediocre SUV with a true 4x4 system splashing in some puddles for a commercial. Even that would let the branding be justifiable with the way things are these days. This was just an obvious free ride for a new platform on a famous namesake. I almost wonder if they saved Ford from doing the same thing since they've gotten even more tight lipped about the new Bronco and it was a no show when a mock up was supposed to be ready for this years car shows. Prepping plan B for next year after listening to Blazer fans blast Chevy probably.
And for the love of god, stop calling this thing a truck!

@@DaveBsellsChevy I think what he means is its the rugged old Blazer that most people remember. This new Blazer is a crossover while the old one was truck based and was just as tough as one. Any idea if they will have a Red Line edition? Can you still get those on any of the vehicles?
