I just ordered this! I have had B12 deficiencies even when eating Paleo for years. This supplement covers all the needs that my trainer and nutritionist recommends and I am so grateful to have found Paleovalley!
I have an extremely difficult time trusting any supplement boasting about having grass-fed organs in a capsule, especially because the nutrient content is drastically reduced during the freeze-drying process. From personal experience, I noticed a couple of minor benefits (moderate clearing of skin and slightly more energy), but they seemed to wear off during the month and a half I took them. I specifically took the Ancestral Supplements brand, and I'm not sure if I should really be less weary of these. I wrote a review for the product saying how incredible it was, because at the time it seemingly was beneficial. I retract that completely. I gradually became more irritable and started having some digestive issues, which a lot of other reviewers had as well. Some noticed no benefits at all. You would think that is odd considering it's supposed to contain some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. How could such products provide little to no benefit, even resulting in digestive unrest? I suspected that fillers were added in, even though all these companies claim there are none.
I REALLY appreciate this insight on supplements like this, Brenden! Thank you for sharing. I've never tried that specific brand, but I've been using the Paleovalley capsules consistently for about 6 months now and haven't had any of those issues you're describing. And I KNOW this brand doesn't have any of those gross fillers. I'll never say that supplements like this are MORE nutritious than eating the organ itself, because you're right - you DO lose some of the nutrient density when you freeze-dry things. However, this is a great option for still getting some of those benefits when you can't access quality organ meat or simply can't stomach it. :)
Allison Wojtowecz I may just give it a try. Someone else pointed out to me on another thread that everyone’s body reacts differently, so perhaps Paleovalley’s brand of organ capsules would suit me better. We’re all on our own journey towards optimal health. Thanks for the response!
@@Ni-wl9uh I never ended up trying out the brand. I felt that, for me, it was best to avoid supplementation of any kind aside from the two I knew I needed to take regularly (vitamin B12 and D). I have absorption problems with both. Taking multivitamin-type supplements has always led to a slew of issues, including insomnia, hair thinning, acne, reduced energy, irritability, and brain fog. Seeing these symptoms persist no matter which supplements I took drove me away from most all of them for a while. My body is particularly sensitive to certain ingredients and substances in supplements. I have learned not to experiment too often because of it. However, I will never discourage anyone from trying anything they want to as long as they’ve done the necessary research beforehand. It’s important everyone does this when considering any supplement.
I can't speak to this particular product's detox abilities - but Slenderella® is a GREAT one for Liver Detox that I use daily. You can find out about their main drink here: ua-cam.com/video/rrGY5JeKBUI/v-deo.html
