One of my all-time favorite MM endings. Megaman finally snaps at Wily, ready to kill him but Wily gets away yet again. Megaman is so annoyed, he doesn't even bother to watch the Castle explode as he walks away from it. The somber music is fitting for the scene as well. Great imagery!
Funny thing is that the level of sheer "ugh, he got away *again* after everything" annoyance still fits even in the Japanese version where the "I'm more than a robot" doesn't exist and where Mega Man's intent to kill Wily is far more debatable and internal. Can't say I blame him for any of those feelings though even as entertaining as Wily's cartoonish evil can be.
@@hawaiidkw1 No, there's nothing confirmed in canon as far as I know about such things, at least when it comes to the Classic series's robots. Reploids and onwards definitely *can* kill humans, which is part of why the setting gets so dark in the _Megaman X_ and _Megaman Zero_ parts of the series. I think a lot of people--including writers--just assume that Isaac Asimov's Three Rules of Robotics apply to basically any fictional robot unless explicitly said *not* to be the case. Ironically this somewhat ignores that, as far as I know, whenever Asimov brought up his own rules in a story, he was always showing they were flawed in some way, though admittedly I don't think I've read any of his works. Either way, I imagine Capcom intentionally deliberately avoids so much as mentioning it with regards to the Classic series at this point. That lets Capcom both keep it ambiguous and helps the audience ignore the sheer amount of people who almost doubtless have been killed or even "just" injured by Wily's literal dozen of world takeover attempts. I usually dislike copouts, but in this case I can't blame Capcom for wanting to keep the Classic series as light as possible without quite devolving into _Battle Network_ levels of silliness.
I'd say after wily's programming, they can absolutely kill humans; otherwise, they just send in humans to combat the robots instead of Megaman. Wily is just deliberately being a hypocrite as the villain he is. And like someone mentioned above, Reploids can 100% kill humans.

@@Flip-a-dip-dip Can't remember if it's frame perfect or not, but basically the soundwave hits him when his health is building and as soon as he's a valid target, taking him back to no health and immediately killing him. I don't think it's too too hard to try to get right, you just shoot right as you're walking through the shutters.
@@Enjamb_ment I don't think it's exactly frame perfect since years ago I remember seeing someone say (and show) it was "easy" to do with practice, but yeah, both those bosses basically get one-shot because of how _MM7_ loads lifebars combined with how Noise Crush is still allowed to bounce around on-screen while that happens.
I feel like i have to appreciate the fact that entire levels are ran through with rush jet equipped because it's too slow to switch back to it if you need it later. It makes for a lot of funny situations where Rush is getting called in arbitrarily whenever megaman needs to shoot at something
You know, I have never seen any definitive explanation as to what happened to megaman after the mega Man series was he destroyed? Was he deactivated and stored away?
It might be head canon but considering Light showing sickness in the Mega man X OVA, the comics showing us that robotics has devolved (I do not blame them) and the only remnant of old technologies are blueprint capsules It’s likely that they’re scrapped away in the junkyard since you know... Megaman 9’s plot and the robot master’s arbitrary expiration date
Turbo man: I'm gonna. AAAAAAHHHHH!. Spring man: Nope. I'm not dying like my foolish b. UUUGGGGGHHHHH!. Mega man: You may rest in peace both of you. You all were dumb.
This feels like a Magnus Weapon Master run but if it was done by a robot instead. (I know this kind of content is older than Magnus, but I think it is safe to say that Magnus made it popular enough for non-TAS bots to play that way.)
Actually, R&F used a different system where you start off with Cold Man and two others that barely anyone ever actually picks as their first, then unlock the other five by finishing connected stages you have already unlocked by this point.
That way you could see some gimmicks in the boss fights and stages by using the weapons on them, for example you can use the ice to change the weather in cloud man's stage.

Someone deserves a really big trophy for this soundtrack.
It's definitely one of Capcom's better SNES soundtracks for sure.
@@solarflare9078 Capcom was on FIRE on the NES and SNES. Mega Man X, Mega Man 2, Street Fighter 2...just...amazing stuff
i think 8 had a slightly better track. but i like them both so i can't really decide.

The best soundtrack this mega man ❤
"Can't this thing go any faster, Auto?"
"We can't all be TASers, Rock."

Turbo Man died as he lived: fast.
the quick kills on Turbo Man and Spring Man were just 🤌
So mean to them, not even a chance

And the dancing during Wily Capsule 7

I never realised the Ghouls 'n Ghosts music in Shade Man's stage...nice one!
Same! Was about to say this very same thing! Gosh I didn't realize it back then. Just a nice touch!
It is an alternate theme though, the normal one is not the one in the video.
Yes, if you hold down the B button while selecting Shade Man, you will get the Ghosts ‘n Goblins theme.
I like how every TASer all anonymously agree to do the Ghouls and Ghosts reference
