If this was an official Mega Man game this fight would go down in history as one of the best moments in not just the series but video games in general. A final fight with the prototype of Wily's greatest creation, Zero, who would give OG Mega Man, with all his powerups combined, a state in which he would usually be unstoppable, a fight that made him seemingly powerless to stop? While this also would signify the power jump Mega Man would need in the series going down the line, its also beautifully ironic how this same creation would end up being the best friend of his next incarnation hundreds of years later. The ending scene is also perfect and the music is fitting. Would have been the greatest set up to the X games had this been the final OG Mega Man title.
The only thing that would have been better is if all of Wily's robot masters had come to their senses, realized that Wily was insane, that Bass was right, and decided to make one last stand to help Megaman to try and stop him. Even still, Zero takes them all on at the same time and tears them to pieces, leaving only him and Megaman left. Then it plays exactly as it did, and the only one who wasn't there during all of that was Bass, who saves him at the end. That would have had an Avengers-like +1 epic factor, and still had the game stay exactly the same with that cool addition.
@gasparguruoftime5475 Considering how classic these games and the X games are, I would have been blown away by this had I followed it as a child. I mean, X1 is already universally praised for its masterful melding in gameplay and narrative design. And Mega Man as a series is one of the most recognizable things out there. So yeah, I think this would have been a big deal in the history of gaming
I like how Zero doesn't do anything until you attack him, and will often just stare at you. This is literally his first day alive and he has no idea what's going on, but boy does he know how to throw down.
If someone walked up to me and started sizing me up like Zero was Mega Man, that person is up for a throwdown, that was far more than just "some curiosity"
I love how frightening an image this is when you really think about it: Here's Zero completely unarmed, no armor, an imperfected system, he's not fully programmed so he's probably not even fully aware of his surroundings beyond that something is trying to hurt him. AND YET Megaman is completely out classed even with a full suite of weapons and upgrades he's accrued through he course of the game. Zero is probing him and yet Megaman can't even put a dent in him going full tilt. The tension you feel when he just walks up slowly, swatting bullets like they're flies, and looks Megaman up and down could be cut with a knife and that's not something you can say about Megaman, let alone Classic Megaman.
Which makes no sense though, yes Zero was the end of the dominance that the robot masters had, but his internal systems should have been vulnerable if he had no armor , thats why he has armor to begin with !
Bs! This just goes to show how good megaman design was by Dr light. He went beyond his specs and STILL manage to disable a proto zero, who NEEDED help to leave; meanwhile OG megaman injured without a blaster still performing, able to navigate through a exploding building, getting back the same way he came, aka the entrance. I can only imagine if of megaman had been designed for war, like proto zero. To make it worst, megaman cane back as x, and still exceeded zero imo.
@@shadowmaverick15 well megaman did ko him, disable him. The one standing is winner. Clear zero had to be carried off the field and saved. If megaman woke up, he either could have just rip him apart or carried him to Dr light.
@@quinnbaygo2112 Huh , this is not cannon and no X its not Megaman and last , X and Zero put to shame reploids ; robots far more advanced than robot masters like Megaman so yeah the blue bomber can compare to those 2 and Megaman was desgined for war after being modified in Megaman 1
I think the best part of this fight is the enemy AI and the fact the battle music doesn't start until the player starts the fight. The programming of having Zero just stand there, looking at you holding the charged shot is truly brilliant. There's nothing more disconcerting then your enemy waiting for your best shot, totally confident it doesn't matter.
the fact Zero is Defending himself in this fight is spooky and clever. like it doesn't know what you are...yet you attack it...and it has no choice but to fight back
To be fair, Zero was evil and did intend to kill Mega Man. It’s obvious when you see Zero and Sigma swap morality. Plus, I don’t blame MM. Every single one of Wily’s creations try to kill him.
@@L0n3star-D16 That's quite just programming's fault, but you could say it is true that he was defending himself, no matter if he was willing to attack Megaman, which he didn't even do first.
This really puts into perspective just how powerful of a machine Zero was at the time of his creation. He was a construct ahead of his time, with armor and movement far superior to any other robot. It was only after the discovery of Dr. Light's last creation: X, and the subsequent production of Reploids, that Zero was no longer alone in this regard. Even then, however, Zero was still a cut above thanks to Wily's incredible genius, so much so that Zero's body was stolen in the Zero series and Zero then proceeded to wipe out the body that had been superior to all reploids in every way. He wasn't just built better, he WAS better. However, the only thing that held him back at this video was a lot of faulty programming that couldn't handle the power his highly advanced systems possessed, which lead to the creation of the Maverick Virus. Truely, Wily knew how to give to the world as much as he took from it.
He was still inferior to X in pretty much every regard after the first game. But then, part of that is probably just service for fans of Mega Man in general. That said, I do wish we had gotten to see what his (meaning X's) body was capable of prior to its destruction in MMZ2. Omega showed us pretty much what Zero's full power was, and X was implied to have grown many times stronger than that.
Actually in response of the increasing and stronger attacks of Dr. Willy, Dr. Light created X in base of Megaman, but didn't be actived untill both X and Zero was found 100 years later. If it could be an alternative story, in response of Willy's ProtoZero and the virus he carries, Dr. Light created X and being being inmune to that virus. But as we know certain Sigma male reploid took the virus in a certain battle against certain red robot master.
Raiz136,why can't at least 1 Mega Man boss not have a healthbar? It'll be a little more challenging not knowing when they're gonna die, take the Wily machines for example, instead of showing a healthbar, why not show signs of severe damage instead?
It’s better to know your progress, besides, how do you think people would figure out the Robot Masters weaknesses without a health bar, you’d be under way too much pressure trying to stay alive to bother counting how many hits before the Robot Master is defeated. Also, this ain’t Cuphead.
Yeah, but if you dont do anything he just walks up to you and just stands there. If anything, it's like he was more curious and only attacked if Megaman moved or shot at him. The way I saw it, it was more of Zero defending himself (even though the fight was more of a curb stomp)
I love how this battle plays out like a scene in an action anime. Mega Man literally going throw his entire arsenal firing at Zero, and the dude just effortlessly tosses them aside as if they were pebbles. Hell, Zero doesn't even shoot first as he's only observing the situation and only acts when Mega Man shows aggression towards him. He even sizes him up to demonstrate how much of a gap in both power and stature they have.
I swear, the fans need something like this for an actual game. Mega Man 11 has potential, we need something that can tie in with the X series yet it still being canonical.
I don't think fans will be too happy about a megaman x9,I love the x series,But I think these changes should happen 1. Have a new "season" of megaman x,That has good story and everything.. 2. Having zero in megaman 11,Or at least a HINT that he is being created. 3. REMOVE AXEL...HE JUST SUCKS...
Maxillum1 I found X7 to have so much potential, even though it gets hated a lot it’s one of my favorites in the series. They did 3D right, everything else was just not okay.

(Zero wakes up for the first time.) Zero:I’m awake...What’s this blue thing?I gonna take a closer- (MegaMan shoots!) Zero:HEY!Why you trying to hurt me!?!.
Zero in megaman x was originally evil but a virus reprogrammed him and he became a hero so this comment doesn’t make sense zero was evil he would already know who megaman is and he would know that he needs to defeat him
My understanding of it was that the whole reason Zero was evil in the first place was because of this virus Wily created. Then when Sigma's group comes along and gets trashed by Zero, Sigma punches his helmet jewel, and being wounded himself, the virus transferred from Zero to Sigma.
Zero is the Willy Virus. Zeros origin is the Robo Virus program itself. His personallity only changes because Sigma knocked his az out while the Willy Patch was installing updates. Kinda like Goku from DBZ falling and hitting his head. Now he's not evil just mildly retarded like the latter. One of the reasons he needs X for decision making and moral guidance. Sigma got infected with an imperfect form of the virus and thus was the Sigma Virus. This imperfect virus program is also the mother elf. But in it's true form it's Berserker Zero.
Sometimes you forget that Wily's creation of Zero was a feat that Light was unable to ever match in his lifetime. Moreso than that the virus inside Zero was also a feat in itself also unmatched. It took X 5 games worth of upgrades to finally be Zero's equal and even then Zero still had a clear edge on X with Soul body being the only equalizer in canon. And to think all that power was from the base unit of Zero created while megaman was still the height of Light's creation. Amazing.
@@thecrazedbroccoli zero saw x like a brother and brothers support younger ones. doesnt mean zero wasnt stronger, if zero series is any indication zero was the best
@@thecrazedbroccoli That isn't technically canon, the other one to rebuild him before that part of the game is, therefore never having to fight him........ BUT! He does get owned in both 1 and 3 by lesser things, and wounded in 2 so you can get further, which kind of proves X is the more powerful one. TBH the whole zero being the more powerful being came around when mighty number 8's *buuurp* creator took over with X4, because zero is his creation, megaman was not.
Zero's trump card over X is a perfected Double Gear, which lets him surge speed and strength to outclass him in short bursts. It's how he beat Sigma in the original fight shown in X4.
1:14 MegaMan: he's right in front of me, but I can't scan him! What's he doing?! Dr. Light: uh... He's just standing there... Menacingly! GET OUT OF THERE MEGAMAN! Zero: Target aquired. Megaman: oh shit!
Love how this shows that Zero is still in alpha stage: First, he didnt awoke; mostly was thrown out his capsule. Then he awakes... And doesnt really understands what's going on (he gets close to megaman more like curiosity) Megaman freaks out, shoots and Zero engages in combat, bitchslapping every shot received. When he saw something he couldnt bitchslap, he goes on the offensive and (weaponless) mauls Mega. Then, in the middle of the battle he glitches and disengages (until another aggresive reaction from Mega, when he engages again). The battle shows no attack pattern from Zero, just reactions and respondes mostly. And then, when Megaman is floored, he glitches again, then goes for the kill. Luckily, being in alpha stated means he was far from ready for testing yet: his core malfuntioned and he has to he rescued. Of course, even with his failure to finish Megaman, Wily at last created something the Blue Bomber wont be able to take out (and again, Zero was in alpha stage)
gustavo argumanis maybe zero burned out a few systems battling mega man...think about it he was carried away mega had to mad dash..then he was carried away...presumably by bass...
@@NotAFunGie remember that Zero never had a Saber Z: .in the first fight against Sigma Zero didn't even have a Buster and still almost killed Sigma .in MMX 1 the Zero only had the Z Buster which it proved effective in destroying Vile's armor, something not even the standard X, or the fully equipped X could not .only in MMX 2 that Zero started to have his Z Saber
2:30 Zero: Well it's been fun kid. For me, not for you. Cause for you, everyone "important" to you is dead. Protoman: But i'm still alive! Zero: Everyone "IMPORTANT".
Everything about this, from the concept to the tension to the moment from the beginning where Zero's just like "Come at me." To that SICK remix/hybrid blasting in the background Everything about this is just perfect. I hope MM11 has something of this caliber as well, what a finale.
@@TheGasMan666 But is it a healthy or "sick" thing as they do that? I'll leave it to the next generation of whatevers to tell me since they clearly always know best.
Dr. Light: yeah they need you right now but your still gonna get replaced and turned back into a normal robot pertermently with something better in mind
I remember an earlier upload of this ending being one of the first Mega Man playthroughs I had ever watched and I thought this was official. When I played Mega Man 2 for the first time and beat it I constantly wondered what game had this ending and I was waiting for it for a longass time. Eventually I got a PC and played this as my first Fan game, such a great experience getting here for the first time was such an insanely profound moment in gaming for me. I've gotta replay this sometime.
(Mortal Kombat theme music starts to play) Megaman: ??? Zero: (shoots spear) "Get over here!" Raiden saves megaman at the end, while Dr. Wily escapes to the Outworld with Shang Tseung. Jax sympathizes with the arm thing, btw.
Zero went from curious-adorable-newborn to terrifying in less than 8 seconds. Mind you, you're kind of provoking him but I'd probably lose my nerve too if I saw some strange, creepy prototype marching right towards me.
Honestly I could sort of see them do this in an official Mega Man game. I know they won’t end a Mega Man game with Zero killing Dr. Wily and/or Mega Man since that’s way too dark for the classic series, but a one sided fight against an unfinished Zero is much more in the realm of possibility.
Im sure. X has limitless potential. Its why he was stowed away for 30 years because Dr. Light feared X would turn on humanity and in that case he would be unstoppable. That being said if it was X from Mega Man X 1 then Zero could probably take him, but at that point X was struggling with his purpose and his humanity while Zero was basically operating like normal. However after X accepts what he is and learns to tap into that hidden potential like he always does he surpasses Zero. Now in pure story context X wouldnt fight Zero, but if they did I think X would defeat him.
What's interesting about Proto-Zero is his foreboding contrast to the blue bomber. He's definitively ahead of his time, but consequentially brings a new complexity to the mega man world. Where the in-game Mega Man is light, simple and whimsical, Zero exudes everything somber, convoluted and stern about events to come. Base can only pretend to be what Zero is, Megaman's true counter. In the end, equaling Zero means embracing a similar complexity. Apparently, that's exactly what happens to the Blue Bomber. It would be even more interesting if Zero ends up being Willy's undoing. Willy thinks he has created the impossibly powerful puppet to propel him to to victory... Zero isn't that simple. He isn't the snowflake Mega Man tends to be either. As Alfred stated about the late Heath Ledger's Joker. "You drove your enemy to the point of desperation. In their desperation, they turned to something they didn't fully understand." This is how things permanently change.
Megaman a snowflake? In most cases yes, but at the end of megaman 7 I think not. Even though he failed in the end due to hesitating he did attempt to do something never did which was try and end Wily for the sake of peace. He learned in this one that if he kept taking him in the process would repeat every time, and the world would be in constant danger so by ending Wily the world would finally have peace (at least until the next nut came along to threaten it.) So while he might not be as complex a Wily's last creation he can evolve and prove himself to be more than a mindless naive robot as well.
Mistress Kixen :Exactly! That's what I theorize is going to end up happening. It's a process that transforms him into the more somber and less intigrated character in the X games. He wants to be light, but never can be again, and that eats at him.
I agree. And in this branch of the mega man narrative, I thinks that's exactly what happens to him. The Blue bomber undergoes the same process that created Zero. But unlike his counterpart, he isn't a "natural born" what way Zero is. He has previous baggage, and that "eats at him" as Kixen put it.
yes and knowing that if megaman had pulled the trigger(well blast him with the charge shot) then the whole megaman x series might not have come to light. I said might
Jordan Scherr im pretty sure it has been implied, especially in x4, that zero did indeed killed wily. The opening cutscene when you play as zero has him having s nightmare of him murdering a silhouette of a certain dr. Sooo I'm sure it's implied
For a fan made game this is actually a great idea. The games didn’t have a proper adaptation in the end in order to get the mega man World Series on track with the mega man x series meanwhile this game did. Whoever made this great job!!!👍
I know everyone here is talking about the attack so badass it's literally the thumbnail. But I want to take a moment to point out that *Bass* was the guy who saved MegaMan, just so he could get his revenge.
That game is the perfect sequel for MMX. The fact that: the game respects what Inafune said(Zero Never killed anybody in the Classic series). Zero’s a badass even as a prototype. Mega Man couldn’t defeat the future Maverick Hunter because of his brute strengh. Proto Man and Bass were infected so no wonder they attacked Mega Man because usually they don’t have the specs to be that violent.(So if Bass was infected, does that mean that Treble was infected too?) That day Thomas found limitless potential so he created X because when I saw that I was like :YES!!! X! They mentionned X! Best Mega Man fangame ever!! However, maybe Dr Light’s children died because to create X, their parts were needed. But it wasn’t explained why Zero became good after Sigma defeated him before X1. (What I’m gonna say is a theory) Wily told Bass that Zero will destroy humanity in the future so Bass was terrified that Zero might kill humans so he modified Zero’s code to prevent that from happening but he must be defeated by a powerful robot(like Sigma for exemple) and that plan worked. But There could have been a better ending: the scenario we saw but Proto Man comes back home, Dr Light could invite Bass and Treble to live with him and his children since Wily doesn’t care about them anymore. And there. A true happy ending. At least one with both X and Zero involved.
Problem is that’s a huge lie. Remember, Wily had to seal him up because of how violent & disobedient he was up until Sigma took him down. He may not have killed anybody from the Classic portion, but we know in the X4 flashback he definitely did kill some Reploids
That stroll forward just to size you up at 1:43 after realizing nothings working really puts this whole battle into full perspective, Rock's charging up a shot but he knows he's not winning this fight
imagine this coming out before the X series, the player thinking to themselves wily finally made an indestructible robot (in megaman's eyes) and finally beat doctor light. then later on seeing the very same robot (or reploid) as one of your companions.
People always forget that mega man (rock) was and is a lab assistant to Dr Light he was repurposed for combat as a necessity while zero appears to be a made for combat fighting machine
This is exactly how this fight should be, Mega Man unloading every ability in his arsenal, none of which actually doing anything, zero not even bothering to try, and Mega Man gets his blue butt taken apart.
There should have still been an unconventional or undocumented way to defeat Zero that megaman was able to find. Even a robot like the ED209 had trouble with stairs and a banana if they slipped on it. Maybe a way to activate the W on his forehead like with what happened unexpectedly with Sigma later?
@jameswasil Except the entire point is that Zero, even incomplete, is simply too advanced for Megaman to defeat. None of his weapons, none of his tactical acumen, battle experience or the upgrades he attained could bridge the gap between Megaman's generation of robots and Zero. He survives because Wily's greatest creation _isn't ready yet._ It's not done and even now Wily couldn't really control it. (He never would manage that as far as we can tell. Even the Maverick virus didn't make Zero controllable.) Bass was Wily's first attempt at using a stronger power source to brute force his Megaman problem, but wasn't enough of an advantage to pull it off. Zero, again powered by Bassnium, actually was far enough advanced that Megaman simply could not win. The narrative role makes a defeat of Zero make no sense. The later defeat of Zero by Sigma is entirely because something Wily put in to try and control Zero went off and gave Sigma a chance for a lucky strike. Even then, it just unleashed the Zero virus on Sigma that seems to be Wily's last gasp attempt at taking Light's legacy with him to the grave. It's ironic, I think, Wily made a robot that in an incomplete state defeated Megaman. Then because he couldn't control it, he didn't trust it to make a repeat performance against X. So he makes a Virus, figuring that Megaman will take down Zero and be infected so Wily wins anyway. (Seems to be based on the 'evil energy' that he couldn't fully understand. Which ties into the whole 'make someone desperate enough and they'll try something they don't understand' another poster pointed out.) Only for his own control attempt to mean the wrong robot gets infected first, kicking off war after war. Until the virus is finally put down (By technology advancing to the point it could be out preformed, in mirror of Megaman being out preformed by Zero) and hundreds of years later it would be Zero who saves humanity from (immediate) extinction.
So the old blue bomber basically faced off against Zero when he was still a prototype?!? Yikes and he was that powerful before he was released and before he became a maverick hunter!
@Shin Shaman They always could make an unnumbered Megaman game that bridges the Classic games to the X series, and then just basically have every other Classic Mega Game to chronologically take place before that. Either that, or they could just treat the whole X scenario as an alternate timeline to the original, possibly still having games that connect the Classic to X, but with it being separate from the mainline continuity.
I love the theories here that Zero is almost completely devoid of programming at this time Like he's in his full Alpha stage He doesn't know who megaman even is much less have any type of hatred for him but he reacts only because megaman assumes he's a threat and so he defends himself Very cool and Very Zeroesque Something I can see him doing cannonicly as it fits his overall Character
I like how the only attack that comes close to doing anything is the comet dash, as it mimics X's Nova Strike that would later be used against Zero in X5.
X and Zero were created in the OG Megaman timeline by Light and Wiley, but X wasn't activated until 100s of years later. That is when the X games take place. It is highly speculated that it was Zero that killed the original MegaMan in the OG time frame after he was awakened.
Lolz. So what happens if you just dont attack at all? Will they just have a friendly staring contest? Or will zero eventually just grow impatient and punch you?
despite the fact that the game seemed to become cooler with the classic Mega Man with Zero, the fact that Zero in 8-bit style looked more beautiful and better than the usual Mega Man in the old style really irritated my eyes
This is how I've imagined the fates of the chars so we can make the transition to X: Dr.Light: As seen on the Maverick Hunter X cutscenes, only survivor of Zero's rampage. Dr.Wily: Barely manges to survive Zero's rampage by using the fail safe virus to pull him back, not unscathed tho, passes away later on, not before transferring his consciousness to an AI like state, whether or not this is the real Albert Wily, is unclear. What is clear is that he damned all in his final hours, "this is all his fault...". He could no longer conquer the world, but he will make sure he has his revenge, no matter what, time is not an obstacle anymore... Megaman: Tries to fight Zero, but is easily defeated, and then is saved and carried away, while a number of chars try to slow Zero. There's still room for debate if X is classic Megaman, or a completely new robot: If he is X then: -After all the years of conflict with the robot at the center, Dr.Light realizes the world wasn't ready and that the robots would need an emissary if they ever could have a chance to coexist with humans. He realizes even Megaman is not fail safe (as he tried to kill Wily on MM7), so he decides to put all his hopes in project X, thus Megaman is upgraded, his memory wiped, and put in the capsule to start his 30year fail safe test to be humanity's last hope. Actually it would fit more if Megaman is upgraded to X, it will give the showdown on X5 more weight. If he's not X then: -Well...Then he just merely couldn't survive in the end, so Light was even more determined to put project X in motion. Protoman: Uses his malfunctioning power core (as seen in his ending in Power Fighters) to detonate himself to try and take out Zero with him. Needles to say Zero survives. All the remaining supporting robots: All die trying to save Megaman from Zero; conveniently off camera or in a big explosion to not get too gruesome. Bass: Dies in an epic battle against Zero trying to protect Megaman, having found the power he always wanted to prove he's the strongest robot: the power of having something to protect; extrapolated from the speech Protoman gives to him in the ending of Megaman&Bass. Zero: Gets shut down by the Wily virus and then sealed away, waiting his time to wake and show the world the power of the strongest robot, built not by Thomas light, but Albert Wily, if he couldn't conquer the world, then he'll see it burn, he will be his legacy, he will have the last laugh...
That is a nice theory, but I don't see Light just wipe Megaman's memory. It is like a murder. Would you murder your own son? He probably took the chip, the firmware or whatever that make his consciousness from megaman's body and put him in a new model.
Pretty sure X and Mega Man are different, through the entire series the earliest memories X has shown is when Light was still alive and obviously in grave danger judging by his conversations with X (possibly thanks to Wily and Zero) and in those flashbacks he is within his X body, If he was in fact Rockman once upon a time I'm sure his past memories would resurface just like Zero's has been shown to do on many occasion throughout the series despite the fact that he has had his memories wiped at least twice now.
I think the other robot will fall to the virus with bass and proto managed to recover only to be defeated by zero, meanwhile megaman will be the last one to stand and defeat all the infected robot till zero showed up..
*when you recently come back from both x and zero legacy collections, hearing both x vs zero, and the **_omega_** theme as one* ...ohh... my God, my ears
Zero (or Z-Prototype) were an incomplete prototype yet a incredible strong robot, easily outmatches Mega Man until his incomplete programming catches up with him, causing him to malfunction and grind him to a halt just before he can finish off Mega Man.
It's absolutely fucking hilarious and yet simultaneously intimidating how Zero just flicks aside the shots while he slowly shambles towards Mega Man, all like, "Nope. Wrong." You might say Mega Man's shots do ZERO to the final boss. Ba-dum-tish.
Unintentional or not, I like how Zero's sprite looks more advanced compare to Megaman which indicates that Zero is a more advanced and superior machine.
As much as I dislike this being the last boss, it’s very..fitting and kinda scary, like it should be. You are a titan fighting a god. The robot your successor will have to struggle to even match up to. Also, this video. I don’t think I have seen a gameplay video with what looked like freaking fight choreography.
That moment when a prototype could effortlessly deflect highly destructive and reality-bending weapon blasts and punch the super fighting robot's arm clean off. That prototype would've made short work of Sigma.
I love how this shows just how outclassed Mega Man Classic is compared to someone like Zero. Maybe if we factor in the Speed Gear, he might be able to match the speed of Zero, but he would still no sell most everything.
I doubt the gear would give him enough of an advantage. The gear has significant limitations and drawbacks, so even if it might give Megaman a period of near equal speed and strength, Zero won't be taken down before that runs out.
@@ShepdogX5 Unless it packs a LOT more firepower than I think it does _and_ Zero lets it hit, _and_ it does critical, crippling damage? It won't make enough difference. This is the tanks of Desert Storm vs WW1 tanks in terms of capability gap.
I just love how there is a "You wasn't supose to see that" kinda vibe around the fight
Especially how wily locked him up like he was hiding victoria's secret
...a part of me really wants Capcom to do this. A completely unwinnable classic battle
Eber Vs X
David Vs Zero
Classic Megaman is kinda redundant with the existence of the X series. X is a evolution of Classic's controls
Oh come on, one of the best moments of video games in general? Let’s calm ourselves here.

This is literally his first day alive and he has no idea what's going on, but boy does he know how to throw down.
Even prototype zero is too much for megaman,
Let's just hope they don't fight anymore, or be captured for that matter and be used to World Domination
broly be like
If someone walked up to me and started sizing me up like Zero was Mega Man, that person is up for a throwdown, that was far more than just "some curiosity"
No wonder he doesn’t have a healthbar.
I love how frightening an image this is when you really think about it:
Here's Zero completely unarmed, no armor, an imperfected system, he's not fully programmed so he's probably not even fully aware of his surroundings beyond that something is trying to hurt him.
“No armor” *survives a bunch of explosions*

So pretty much Sigma Virus in X2 and Master Albert's Throne Hydra in ZX Advent.
Example:Vile
Kayden J and that's why cuphead is impossible without the healthbar mod
@expics on yt oof k
That usually only applies if that series bosses had health bars normally. Many games use visual cues on the bosses now instead.
What do you mean "his body was stolen in the ZX series"?
@@KINOFRFX Shit, sorry. I meant Megaman Zero. My bad.
Wasn't the Maverick Virus created by Willy and put on Zero's capsule?
@@dangerouslysafe3 It's all good. For a second I thought you were referring to Biometal Z.
I love how this is accurate to the lore, Zero is not a rival that Megaman can defeat, he's beyond his league.
X = Zero still IMO.
Dude needed plot armor to stop me from wrecking him 😂 MegaMan for the win
And that zero wouldn't be the first one to attack.
He was made in the future along with x
Just so we all know.... Mega Man fired the first shot.

It’s better to know your progress, besides, how do you think people would figure out the Robot Masters weaknesses without a health bar, you’d be under way too much pressure trying to stay alive to bother counting how many hits before the Robot Master is defeated.
Also, this ain’t Cuphead.

Amazing.

Megaman freaks out, shoots and Zero engages in combat, bitchslapping every shot received.

So basically Bloodbornes _Orphan of Kos_ on steroids.
Seeing Mega Man's simplistic and cartoon-y sprite next to Zero's highly detailed and semi-realistic one is just kinda funny to me
Honestly I could sort of see them do this in an official Mega Man game. I know they won’t end a Mega Man game with Zero killing Dr. Wily and/or Mega Man since that’s way too dark for the classic series, but a one sided fight against an unfinished Zero is much more in the realm of possibility.
So what I got here is
Protoman may be infected by the zero virus
Bass is upset that he got replaced
And zero is a badass even when he's a prototype
I thought Bass being shown was that he was the one who saved Megaman.
he did save him but in this game he was indeed replaced with 0.
Too bad Zero still loses to X.
Stan are you sure because if it was maverick zero x would be destroyed but if it like the battle in x5 they would try to stop each other not destroy
He learned in this one that if he kept taking him in the process would repeat every time, and the world would be in constant danger so by ending Wily the world would finally have peace (at least until the next nut came along to threaten it.)
So while he might not be as complex a Wily's last creation he can evolve and prove himself to be more than a mindless naive robot as well.

Zero seems to have a thing for ripping arms off. Even did it to Sigma.
Wily be like: "Haha... You weren't supposed to see that yet."
So this is how Megaman would meet Zero. The late Dr. Wily had accidentally created a killing machine according to the newly discovered databanks.
They did explained how Zero turned out good tho.
Part of it it's on the Megaman X4, after the fight with Sigma.
Wait, THIS WAS A FAN GAME?
Problem is that’s a huge lie. Remember, Wily had to seal him up because of how violent & disobedient he was up until Sigma took him down. He may not have killed anybody from the Classic portion, but we know in the X4 flashback he definitely did kill some Reploids

imagine this coming out before the X series, the player thinking to themselves wily finally made an indestructible robot (in megaman's eyes) and finally beat doctor light. then later on seeing the very same robot (or reploid) as one of your companions.
He survives because Wily's greatest creation _isn't ready yet._
It's not done and even now Wily couldn't really control it.
Which ties into the whole 'make someone desperate enough and they'll try something they don't understand' another poster pointed out.)
Only for his own control attempt to mean the wrong robot gets infected first, kicking off war after war. Until the virus is finally put down (By technology advancing to the point it could be out preformed, in mirror of Megaman being out preformed by Zero) and hundreds of years later it would be Zero who saves humanity from (immediate) extinction.
@@Sorain1 and then as MatPat pointed out everyone dies anyways.
THE END.
1:51 Zero: “hey how are ya?”
Megaman: “shut up Zero.”
So the old blue bomber basically faced off against Zero when he was still a prototype?!? Yikes and he was that powerful before he was released and before he became a maverick hunter!

if you've played this game something interesting is that zero only reacts to you, if you do nothing then he doesn't attack at all
break off Megaman's arm just like how he break off Sigma's arm. Zero is badass.
MM11 is finally upon us. It's amazing but sadly Capcom seems to have ZERO interest in bridging the gap to MMX. Har har.
Megaman 11 happened because megaman legacy collection sold well, And the x legacy collections did really good as well. So we might be getting an X9.
@@mill4318 I was begging all these years for that to happen
Yeah, because Capcom cleeeeaaarly wants to make more sequels of the classic saga
@Shin Shaman
They always could make an unnumbered Megaman game that bridges the Classic games to the X series, and then just basically have every other Classic Mega Game to chronologically take place before that.
Either that, or they could just treat the whole X scenario as an alternate timeline to the original, possibly still having games that connect the Classic to X, but with it being separate from the mainline continuity.
I love the theories here that Zero is almost completely devoid of programming at this time
Like he's in his full Alpha stage
He doesn't know who megaman even is much less have any type of hatred for him but he reacts only because megaman assumes he's a threat and so he defends himself
Very cool and Very Zeroesque
Something I can see him doing cannonicly as it fits his overall Character
I like how the only attack that comes close to doing anything is the comet dash, as it mimics X's Nova Strike that would later be used against Zero in X5.
This is one of the greatest Mega Man finales.
Even though it’s a fan game
aw... i thought it was real..
I never knew how far back megaman and zero went, I always thought protoman was his rival. This is awesome
Or will zero eventually just grow impatient and punch you?
murasaki & Bebeby
Friendly staring contest
Uuhhh..... I hope your just being joking... I just saw zero jump away after he was done sizeing megman the 1st.

Wow, I love how they made an animation for Zero parrying the shots.
Epic backhand.
despite the fact that the game seemed to become cooler with the classic Mega Man with Zero, the fact that Zero in 8-bit style looked more beautiful and better than the usual Mega Man in the old style really irritated my eyes
This is how I've imagined the fates of the chars so we can make the transition to X:
Dr.Light: As seen on the Maverick Hunter X cutscenes, only survivor of Zero's rampage.
Dr.Wily: Barely manges to survive Zero's rampage by using the fail safe virus to pull him back, not unscathed tho, passes away later on, not before transferring his consciousness to an AI
like state, whether or not this is the real Albert Wily, is unclear. What is clear is that he damned all in his final hours, "this is all his fault...". He could no longer conquer the world,
but he will make sure he has his revenge, no matter what, time is not an obstacle anymore...
Megaman: Tries to fight Zero, but is easily defeated, and then is saved and carried away, while a number of chars try to slow Zero. There's still room for debate if X is classic Megaman, or
a completely new robot:
If he is X then:
-After all the years of conflict with the robot at the center, Dr.Light realizes the world wasn't ready and that the robots would need an emissary if they ever could have a chance
to coexist with humans. He realizes even Megaman is not fail safe (as he tried to kill Wily on MM7), so he decides to put all his hopes in project X, thus Megaman is
upgraded, his memory wiped, and put in the capsule to start his 30year fail safe test to be humanity's last hope. Actually it would fit more if Megaman is upgraded to X, it will
give the showdown on X5 more weight.
If he's not X then:
-Well...Then he just merely couldn't survive in the end, so Light was even more determined to put project X in motion.
Bass: Dies in an epic battle against Zero trying to protect Megaman, having found the power he always wanted to prove he's the strongest robot: the power of having something to
protect; extrapolated from the speech Protoman gives to him in the ending of Megaman&Bass.
UrielManX7 X =/= megaman, this is a well know fact about the series.
X and Rockman are 2 different robots.
Even when Zero is a prototype, he can still kickass
I searched Megaman 11. This was the fifth result. Let that sink in.
Racing game of MegaMan already showed us a small origin of where zero came from
*when you recently come back from both x and zero legacy collections, hearing both x vs zero, and the **_omega_** theme as one*
...ohh... my God, my ears
Alternative Universe: Bass vs Prototype X
That sounds interesting
Dr light:holy...I need store this thing, he too powerful for even bass
Bass would get his B-ASS handed to him, proto X would be significantly weaker than proto Zero but Bass would still lose.
I love that Zero even has the Shouryuken!
I love how he makes sure theres no zoning but reflecting most attacks

This is a really good display of visual story telling.
1:52 *charging buster* -So, how is your day going?
Unintentional or not, I like how Zero's sprite looks more advanced compare to Megaman which indicates that Zero is a more advanced and superior machine.
Megaman vs Zero, the fight I've been waiting to see! Epic!
Zero: *rips megaman left arm off*
Megaman: bro why u rip my left hand I loved that hand >:(
MegaMan: That was my favorite arm!
This is more canon than canon material.
Megaman: -Gets His Arms Cut Off-
Zero: Rock, I, Am Your Father
Megaman: Shit
1:48 I like how Zero just patiently waits until you do something. Zero is a loyal robot
Yeah, he wins his fights in honor lol
Its like been afk on a online game but your enemy waits for you to come back lol
Zero: You gonna move?
Megaman: Maybe. Can you just uh...let me hit you once?
Zero: Yeah ok.
Megaman: So...I can hit you?
Zero: *SHORYUKEN!*
@@Sorain1 what of the Mega arm?
@@ShepdogX5 Unless it packs a LOT more firepower than I think it does _and_ Zero lets it hit, _and_ it does critical, crippling damage? It won't make enough difference. This is the tanks of Desert Storm vs WW1 tanks in terms of capability gap.

Zero hit him with the: “Thought you was slick, didn’t you?”, with that uppercut💀
