The requirements for the Hadouken capsule are: -All heart tanks -All 8 weapons acquired -All 4 sub-tanks (not necessarily full!) -Full health -3 deaths after visiting the ledge where the capsule appears (having the energy pellet appear on screen is good enough) After you get it, doing it might take a little practice: Down-forward-shoot just like in Street Fighter.
@@Saibashi0 the ledge is the top of the cliff before you enter Armored Armadillo's lair(in Armored Armadillo's stage) that has a large energy pellet sitting on it, where the Dr. Light capsule containing the Hadouken will appear on the fourth visit, if all requirements are met as noted by Andrew Blechinger. Don't begin this process unless you have met the requirements. I've usually just used the Escape Unit to exit the stage, so a death isn't required to get the Hadouken.

@@robbaker5718 this is a TAS, not a traditional single-segment human-performed run basically TAS uses tools such as save states (so the creator of a TAS can keep retrying specific sections) and frame advance (for input precision) in order to create a hypothetical speedrun; some of the tricks these runs use are impossible for humans to perform

He is jumping of the spikes at a key moment to not die but since he is on the top he can't proceed because the elevator is not with him to advance him to the next part. So he hit the so called "Checkpoint" area and killed himself so he didn't have to wait for the elevator to come all the way but instead the game read that he was to the next part of the map and loaded him at the checkpoint saving a ton of time. Hope that helped :)
@@omar_1880 okay? That's literally what the video is about is the gameplay. This game has an exceptionally great soundtrack for it's time. You're weird and this is a dumb response you made weirdo
It's a glitch called "Phantom Grab". He needs to colect an item grabbed by the boomerang at the exact same frame that a miscelaneous item sprite appears on screen. As soon as he gets the item, the boomerang will spawn the sprite of that new misc item on it instead of the normal place that item is supposed to be spawned.
It’s a bug called the phantom grab (or according to Son of a Glitch, the magic carpet ride). Basically, by collecting the item the boomerang grabbed at the exact same time one of the floating platforms appears on-screen, the platform accidentally gets spawned inside the boomerang instead of where it normally is. Since the boomerang carries the platform towards you, and you can stand on the platform, you can then use it to bypass most of the stage, way faster than you would normally get past it.
It says in the TAS submission "After all is said and done this skip saves 1 second over hadoukening him and sitting through the boss explosion like normal, which means it will save 10 seconds in an any% TAS.". It really does seem slower to skip wanger but we gotta remember that there's the explosion too, and as we know that takes few seconds.
Because he climbed up the room without using the elevator, so he had to die because you couldn't go thru the door if the elevator isn't up, so what he did is that he set the checkpoint on the start of the side of the tower climbing section and died to get there
I think it's because the screen can't advance unless the elevator is completely at the top, so he kills himself to get to a checkpoint past the elevator. I'm guessing there's a checkpoint marker once he touches the top of the elevator shaft
That is a new glitch called phantom grab where you pick an item such as heart in this case, and then load yet another object which is elevator in this case, and because the boomerang always follows X, this happens.
Unknown MUGEN It’s a bug called the phantom grab (or according to Son of a Glitch, the magic carpet ride). I just want to be able to get the Iceless/Heartless jump down, along with the initial magic carpet glitch. I was unaware of there being a few extra Magic Carpet glitches in the game. Lots of new strats came from watching this video. Now. a matter of performing them without the use of Tool Assistant. I am solid at this game, and would be better if I could only get that Iceless and MC glitch down. I am still practicing a lot of the strats, and was able to pull off quite a few . But, that Iceless jump is so difficult and pulling off the magic carpet is pretty hard as well. I've managed the scene skips in Sigma 1, Armored Armadillo Skip, Air Hadoken, and the Phantom Grab on Chill . But, the rest are absolutely insane. Watching this video is a great training guide for speed runners. I hate the fact that so many people make Iceless look so easy, yet, I've tried for hours and hours and gave been playing this game for a better portion of my life and have never once gotten Iceless. Once I get Iceless down , I'm going to start Speed running this game more often. I know I'll never beat the WR. But, would like to drop my run time down.
I have made that jump exactly one time. It took me several hours sitting there trying over and over and over. You can get it too. Just requires some absolutely tough as nails precision.
I'm kind of confused because after the intro stage he went to chill penguins stage and all he got were the dash boots however when he was playing boomer kuwangers stage and collected some extra health it accounted it as if he had a sub tank however he did not collect one because there aren't any subtanks in the stages he played so far so can anyone explain to me what happened
If you did it in the Japanese version, it would have taken a lot longer. The hadouken text box is only one frame whereas in the Japanese version, it is several frames. It would have taken an extra one second per frame. Also, because the text is slightly shorter in the conversation between zero and vile, he wouldn't have been able to do the vile zero text skip.
To get the Hadouken in armored armadillo stage, do you only have to scroll the screen as far right as it goes before the boss tour? I always thought they had to get that energy item and then exit the stage and play from the start. How does the game actually calculate getting the Hadouken in that level?
I'm not sure I understand the purpose of intentionally dying near the end of armored armadillo's stage like...multiple times..? Is that a set up for something or what?

People are freaking about Mr. Kuwanger's stage, but Storm Eagle and Sigma's Fortress 2 easily tops that.
