My concern for the QI variant is that CIG could very easily just change the mass of the QI component to be way more, thus skewing the QI variant's maneuverability way down. The QI range is 4.5k; so if someone is in NAV mode going 1.1km; they could easily turn and get away from you. I like the QI in theory; and with maxed out components(quantum drive, best in slot powerplants, etc); you'll have the powergrid for stuff; but I know how CIG like to release something stronk, and then dial it back in future iterations. I'm sticking to my standard Guardian, and I almost went ahead and got the QI variant just to have the QI module; but I'd rather wait and see. Ultimately, love the design of the ship; it's probably the best use of space for any ship in the game; they did a phenomenal job with it; and worst case scenario I can always turn it into a Vanguard Sentinel(which was my first heavy fighter from years ago, which I truelly loved).
I say get a ccu at least, but I'm doing the same. I think the QI will become a bigger liability than people realize in the future. Also, as a solo pilot using this for bunker missions and dangerous territory, having the QI does nothing for me.
I see this ship as a direct competitor to the Vanguard series. I would strongly advise against going after light or medium fighters with this, especially if they’re flown by players, but this can be an extremely good big game hunter. Plus, it looks pretty damn cool.
exiting ship cockpit to rear so you can bed log will often spit you out the ship so make sure you aren't moving when you try to get out cockpit to bed log.
Imagine you couldn't though. Would be comically bad having to exit the ship and run/float around it each time you want to go into the other part of the interior.
@j.d.4697they are changing quantum interdiction so that it is different based on size. A mantis for small, cutty blue for medium, and the QI for large.
I feel like their should have been a bigger difference between the two versions. Maybe if one had 4x s4 on the wings with only 2 missle racks it'd make each one more distinct. As they are now, it seems hard to argue the base Guardian over the QI version.
I would probably advise in the opposite direction. If you're a solo player, or don't have a specific NECESSARY constant use case for a damping device, you are better off with the base. I'd rather bring a friend with a damping device for a player target than be gimped 24/7 in CASE there's 10 minutes once a year that it proves unexpectedly useful. The handling is already in heavy fighter territory, it can't afford to lose the pitch/yaw/roll. Yes, it is impactful to lose .7 seconds on a 360 and keeping nose uptime on target is already rough at 37.5 pitch/yaw responsiveness and the lighter ship's inertia. Don't FOMO thinking you will be intercepting and damping and then 1v1ing people solo all day. You're not. Just get the base model and be more nimble.
@HelloStarCitizens I don't think there's really any need to adjust them One cost more and comes with an extra feature turns a lill slower and gotta manage power more closely. I think games are so focused on balance it's a little over the top.
Hey! Quick question, would it be pay to win to get the guardian as a pledge? The huge hp boost compared to other fighters should give it an edge despite the less dps no? I don’t want to pay to win…
@@Victini0510 doubly so when someone who ground out the in-game currency to buy it in game is going to fly rings around someone who just bought the "best" ship in the game with their CC and thought he could be Top Gun.
1:55 NO ONE I watched cover this ship mentioned these two features. You're the best out there!
The base Guardian's paintjob is fire though.
Agreed, it's a 10/10 for me with every other paint of every other ship in the game being a 6/10 or 7/10 at most.
Watching this after I bought it 😊
Got the base variant + unapplied QI CCU, which I may or may not use depending on future balanced changes.
Ditto, it's def gonna change

Ya I got the QI, perfect tackler for The Polaris
What? Anything with big turrets will shred it I think. I would go with a Mantis to tackle the Polaris.

@j.d.4697it’s beefy af so I think it’s gonna tank enough to make it count
I just got my first gaming pc can’t wait to play this game
Thanks
will be upgrading my QI with Galdereens and Lumacore power plants for small ship bounty hunting

Before you buy... Just know when something similar is about to be sold= Nerf guardian
The Q is a $5 ccu from the cutlass steel. Where as the base is a $20 ccu from the hurricane
I hope people dont cry about this ship for whatever reason, and it gets nerf'd
😢
They could try buffing the base instead of nerfing the Qi

I can't figure out how to activate the dampener. I think I have bind the keybinding, but I don't get it to start. :-/
It needs power bars applied from power management MFD
sooooo its not purchasable in game yet? when will it be?

Depends, the HP is spread across all its parts
Total HP does not matter, kill zone does (body and nose for example) it has less body than vanguards. spviewer website shows this best.
Pay to win is a meaningless concept when all ships are available in game.

Not worth the $230-$250. Maybe $100. The price of some of these ships… are ridiculous.
