I can understand why they made her weaker for the mobile version of the game. In the mobile version of the game all the powerful spells would be easy to access through icon's but for PSP and PS4 you would have to use the codes shown on screen so idk about those versions.
@@creambred in the mobile version you can already do the super op stuff like soul steal and wing smash in one button, playing richter on mobile is super easy (and fun tbh) because of that they made this maria mode trying to be more similar to her rondo of blood counterpart, which wasn't a bad idea (even tho saturn maria was so god damn good already) but they made her attacks so weak! she's literally rondo of blood's easy mode due to her superior movement and strenght in that game but in the hd versions of sotn shes the weakest character for no reason!
In Rondo of Blood, Maria was made to be an "easier" way of beating the game, as she was OP. If she had continued training, by the time sotn rolled around and Richter went missing, her adult self would have absolutely torn the castle apart. However, if Maria didn't train, she'd just be PSP Maria, arguably the weakest Sotn playable character
Which makes absolutely no sense. Because according to the plot it is clearly clear that Maria is weaker than Richter and she cannot defeat him. Alucard did it.
@@BiriBiri925 Clear is a strong word, considering she didn't even try. She just wasn't sure she was capable of defeating him or, in fact, saving him. It is possible that she would have been able to defeat him, but she preferred that Alucard do so, given the possibility that the only viable conclusion could end up being to kill Richard.
@@faleilham8334 It depends. If you do the good endings, in which Alucard saves Richard, she tells Richard that she is in love with the Dampiro. In the best scenario, Richard encourages her to go after Alucard. In the other one, Maria tells Richard that she understands the pain of Dampiro, who has just killed his own father, but that there is nothing she can do to alleviate such suffering. Then, they both leave. Finally, if Alucard kills Richard, she says to the Dampiro that she understands that the situation demanded that, or something along those lines, and leaves. And, if Alucard didn't get the Holy Glasses with Maria before the Fight, I believe that some lines of their conversation changed, but I don't remember for sure.
Maaaan, again, thanks to this video, it really made me play and experience the Saturn version which now is my fav due to this particular Maria along other things. Instantly replayed Requiem and missed the boss fight against this version which was so fun

@@Chernobog2 it's her basic attack which is a spirit gun and her guardian knuckle which is Yusuke's spirit punch is why I believe Iga was a Yu Yu Hakusho fan. Her Guardian knuckle from other versions looks like a JoJo stand so no doubt he likes that too. You can use a spell similar to Kurama's rose whip in Circle of Moon. So lots of hints around. I know the mystical beasts are from Chinese legend.
This version is much better than the Psp version. Not sure why they want to make her so weak and different from this.

Because it is literally broken in this version. It's certainly fun, but games should have at least a minimum balance.
