the MM are the only side where you can keep the other factions alive (well not the Institute, since yeah only if you side with them do they survive) but the MM have 2 endings depending on how far you go with the other factions. But for Battle of Bunker Hill told everyone about it, also had a glitch where Garvey wouldn't leave I had Aida set as follower and he was still there happened because of the "Taking the Castle" mission, probably because I destoryed the eggs before they told me to IDK, But not until sometime after finished Far Harbor & Nuka World did he stop so again IDK what happened.) But somehow I ended up with the three Factions Peaceful with each other, so the "Super Happy Ending". (there are certain flags with the RR & BH missions that trigger them being aggressive to the other factions, but not sure how far down each you can go without triggering it. But I didn't so at least that far.)
So if you destroy Institute with Minutemen before you help Danse at the police station then you cancel out the BoS questline..Well I saw that one coming a mile off..
If you follow the Institute quest, you'll notice synths required verbal commands, instead of electronic ones. That's why they needed a Courser to retrieve the Synth from the Gunners, and to retrieve the Synth that became a Raider Boss, and why the Railroad is even capable of stealing synths from the institute to begin with
It's not like all the synths are on a network. They are basically just people who happen to have a chip in their head. Unless you give a verbal command to that chip they might as well be human. H He himself didn't even know he was a synth.
He had been memory wiped, probably by the railroad, given false memories and let loose in the Capital Wasteland. Unless given a specific voice command, he wouldn't even know he's a Synth
No they shouldn't. The BoS is little better than a raider gand in fo4. They're a bunch of bigots that will forcibly steal crops from the local farms as "tribute" for their war effort. The Fo4 BoS can fuck all the way off.
They likely would IF Maxon wasn't the leader of the BOS, They want to eradicate anything non human after all, Sentient Ghoul and Synth alike, The minutemen have a Synth within their ranks (Sturges) and don't discriminate on ghouls. If someone like Sarah Lyons were the leader and they were still like their FO3 counterpart they'd probably work together.

So I decided to just play the minutemen quest line since I didn’t have Danse. But then- when I talked to the BOS members who give out the BOS Radiant quests, the one who hates me was like “i thought wrong about you, you’re really a good man.” And the woman explained to me about Danse living out in a bunker and that he was a synth, but that I was a good person for helping him and how she visits him in the bunker But I never did that? @@alphacompton Minutemen quest-line, it’s actually pretty cool (this triggers after you defend The Castle from the Institute assuming you got the agitator for the BOS and not the institute and Railroad).
Essentially, most of the questlines with interesting outcomes happens based on who you get the agitator for. The BOS unlocks the BOS and Minutemen endings but stops the Railroad and Institute, and vice versa. If you side with the railroad, you can’t get the Minutemen.
I like getting all the eddie winter tapes before you meet Nick. When he finally asks you to find them, your character just says "oh you mean these"
Very cool find. Did you know if you Talk to Codsworth for the first time AFTER finishing the game , your reunion will be a happier one. There's a ton of stuff Bethesda added in that a lot of players might never see. As for my allegiance, my first playthrough was the Brotherhood but after it's always the Minute Men. The only true good group in the commonwealth.
Glad he doesn't seem to be aware YOU brought down the Prydwen, with artillery strikes, in order to do this. 😊 I guess I am not sure if you HAVE TO, when siding with the Minutemen, but...
That’s because he’s a synth, loyal to the institute. BOS is just a cover for him, he’s actually trying to take them out as a Spy. The only person who had no ties to him and wouldn’t be surprising is having our character kill him off.
Only if you made an enemy of the BOS
@@jpegjaredehhh am I I mistaken? I thought Danse never knew he was a synth? Forgive me I haven’t played the game in years… maybe the telemetry data was being collected subconsciously and sent back to the institute?
When I chose the minutemen ending and brought down the prydwen, I went back to the Cambridge police station to find BOS soldiers waiting for me outside. I took them out and went inside the station to find Rhys, Haylen, and Danse hostile. Haylen and Rhys were essential and couldn’t be killed, but not Danse.
@@jpegjaredhe doesn't know he's a synth. that's like, his entire plotline
In my game he just says “check your fire, we got hostiles” while standing there with no ghouls around.
Details like this is why Fallout 4 is the best game ever. It is not a perfect game, but the best. I have played thousands of hours and 14 playthroughs and I still find new things about the game. The details are crazy. I have only seen a few games come close. Bethesda needs to get back to this.
Yes, I literally have thousands of hours and I just started a new file getting prepared for this new fallout series back in do it again.I go. Literally every time I play I Find something I never knew about
Crazy that Bethesda went from Fallout 2, Morrowind, F3, FNV, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 4... then abomination piece of trash like Starfield😂 it feels like Bethesda never have any experience making Open World RPG before 😭
@@vonxoliver They tried to do too much with Starfield. The core of the game was not bad, but parts they should not have wasted time on were what hurt the game... the NG+, base building, the open world exploration... I would have been happy in only being able to go to specific sites on the planet if they had put more detail and flavor into them and more and better mission... and more NPCs. It was not a buggy mess and horrible game like Fallout 76.
@@vonxoliver Fallout 2 and New Vegas were not created by Bethesda.
Fallout 2 was created before they even purchased the fallout IP.
It has basically no details compared to any other action rpg that stands on a similar level. New Vegas, Cyberpunk , so many better ARPGs out there.
*Bro said he's Wally's dad...* that nearly brought a tear to my eye, and I don't get misty eyed often.
the MM are the only side where you can keep the other factions alive (well not the Institute, since yeah only if you side with them do they survive) but the MM have 2 endings depending on how far you go with the other factions. (I only went as far with the RR to get Ballistic Weave, and the BH until I got PA from them and did one settlement mission for the guy selling stuff on the Airship, But not the mission from Maxxum.
Danse is too good for the brotherhood
I feel bad for you. Playing so many MM missions I think I just got a chill up my spine
This is the true spirit of the Brotherhood that is lost to Maxson
Never noticed that the boat on swans shoulder actually stretches as if it were his flesh come on Bethesda 😭
I wish the game explained that you could click on the collectables and rambley would tell you about them
Surprised danse wouldn't kill you considering he's secretly a synth
If you follow the Institute quest, you'll notice synths required verbal commands, instead of electronic ones. That's why they needed a Courser to retrieve the Synth from the Gunners, and to retrieve the Synth that became a Raider Boss, and why the Railroad is even capable of stealing synths from the institute to begin with
It's not like all the synths are on a network. They are basically just people who happen to have a chip in their head. Unless you give a verbal command to that chip they might as well be human. H
He himself didn't even know he was a synth.
He had been memory wiped, probably by the railroad, given false memories and let loose in the Capital Wasteland. Unless given a specific voice command, he wouldn't even know he's a Synth
I love how he just walks away from rambley whenever possible
brotherhood of steel and minute men should honestly team ngl
Yes, Brotherhood always save the day. Minute Men are more like the restore the order and cooperation.
BoS wants to rule like kings. Just look at how you are supposed to shake down farmers for crops and how they hate ghouls.
“So am I still getting that t-60 power armor?”
I do appreciate how they considered some of the timeline conflicts.
One thing I love about f4 is the replay ability and the slight choice difference you can make to change the outcome
With new Vegas is just breaks lots of the time
Thats probably the first meaningful thing iv heard an npc say in that game. Bravo
Maybe I'm just a Maxson hater, but the Minutemen route isn't "done" until I've blown the Prydwen out of the sky with the Castle's artillery.
I like the BoS, I just wish we could of had that mission where we could replace Maxson.
To me that's when they become a legit military force to be reckoned with. Especially with vertabirds.
nah cuz tbh the brotherhood isnt that bad its all really just elder maxon. Plus im kind of a sucker for the militaristic gameplay of the brotherhood so yeah lmao
@@slicer2938Yeah it's just Maxson. People like Danse and Haylen prove that even in their current military form the Brotherhood would genuinely be a good force for the Commonwealth and beyond. It's just that Maxson refuses to lose to anyone including his own Brotherhood. Maxson gets genuinely upset if you do the Minutemen ending even though they should both have the same goals, but Maxson only cares about his scoreboard.
Ya would have loved a depose of elder maxson story that lets you be friendly with the MM and RR because the Lyons would have been
Danse does have a lot of respect for the minutemen. They may be a milita but they are a noble one under the sole survivors guidence.
Brotherhood of Steel with minutemen work togther😂
Thanks for this man my ending was not what I expected plus my run I termained the railroad but sided with BOS at the end and the end with Preston’s dialogue after was interesting too
So Paladin Danse literally tells you that your choice made no difference because the outcome would have been the same regardless. Great writing Bethesda, Bravo!
As far as danse is concerned its the same goal, the difference is methods and what they think about collateral.
Same thing for difference reasons
Thats like saying ncr or house both get rid of the legion so no difference
Another reason Danse will always be my favorite
Danse is one of my favorite npcs of all time
Bro was stuck fighting ghouls the whole time while the BoS didn’t even try to help
I havent met him yet in my current save, Im going to do exactly this. Thank you for showing us!
I had a weird thing happen on my first play through. I was trying to do BOS and Minutemen quests kind of at the same time and played with Danae for a while, but then sent him to Boston Airport. Then I could never find I’m at the Airport to bring him back- even though the game said there was a population of 1 there. And when I go to the bunker in question- he isn’t there? Did I like- glitch the game into thinking I completed a quest line that I didn’t? Sorry long comment but didn’t know how else to explain lol
"Elected" is a strong word.
I love how in the Fallout Games you can make any combination of thousands of choices, play it literally any way you want, and Bethesda has lines planned out for whatever outcome you reach.
That is a very fascinating turn of events! Thanks for the experiment.
One of the better shorts ive seen of this nature. Actually really cool the turnout
Finally ! An interesting, clear and precise short after minutes of scrolling through BS.
Thank you sir.
Next question is what happens if you straight to the brother hood skipping meetings the minute man
Nothing really.
I made a new playthrough, skipped speaking to Codsworth & visiting Concord. Helped Danse, & then went to find Valentine & continue the quest. Sided with the BOS & destroyed the institute.
Went to speak with Codsworth after the final main quest, you can just help them I guess (I didn’t) & Preston just asks for your help probably.
I really don’t know how they are able to account for every different playthrough style with new dialogue and experiences.. this is why I love fallout.
then here i am trying to manage playing on the side of both the insatitute and the brotherhood
Danse has a lot of depth and it's often speculated that he knows hes a synth but is also sentient.
in this way, danse will never know he is a synth.
Amazing how they added so many voice lines in case you do things like this.
That's surprising wholesome from a filthy dirty synth
I never knew you could do this, and I have been playing the game since it launched. This is cool.
So he never finds out he’s a synth good way to save his life for sure
Danse: "So it was all for nothing..."
Paliden danse is a institute if nobody knew that
i remember for a fact on my first playthrough, i did not knew danse existed until my second playthrough where i decided to see what that cambridge police quest had to offer.
Tim from the Office narrating UA-cam shorts now
Its things like this that are wild to me. Having to figure out dialog for doing this vs that for soooo many npcs. Impressive.
'The end result is the same.' Sums up the two endings in a nutshell.
When I did this in my first playthrough Danse just bugged out and always thought he was in combat
Dude always made me think i was talking to Geoege Clooney Soldier lol
I literally joined the minutemen the brotherhood and the institute all at the same time and it’s my first play through (not only my first, but also my current and only)
When you completed the game on the brotherhood of steel side, but the minimum are like your private army
He's been fighting those ghouls for weeks 😂
Thank you.. this video was truly amazing.
I suppouse as a thought, I sure hope I get the mental help I need soon.
Love yourself
I did this on my very first play-through back in 2015. Good times.
Imagine if the minutemen and the brotherhood teamed up
he sound like a aftermarket buzz lightyear
It may be complete, but it sure don't feel like it.
“Even though you decided on the minute men the result is the same” the jokes just write themselves really
Dance: Hm, nice job you did great brother.
So he just complements you? Good enough for me!
Casually saves danse from being hunted by the brotherhood
Literally one of the most reasonable bos members there are
