Bruh I swear the writers of Spongebob are simultaneously sweating and smiling right now because someone is finally paying attention to the hidden details they put in
It’s been implied that SpongeBob actually can drive really well, but it’s the stress of the test that causes him to fail every time. He even drove the Patty Wagon extremely well in the Movie.
Yeah and there were a few other times where Spongebob was driving like a boss. Though, I can remember it off the top of my head, I remember Spongebob was taking the test and I believe up until the point she said it's a test Spongebob was driving like a pro and Mrs. Puff was happy, relaxed, and even smiling.
I just realised how smart this guy actually is. Dude wasn’t getting much views on his channel, so he did something that would get him really popular- and when that hit happened he pulled us in his ARG.
I have a kind of mini theory on who the old student is. I think it might be Stanley, spongebobs cousin. He's way more destructive than spongebob and probably could have caused that accident with the "lawyer" fishes family member. I also dont think the show has told us where Stanley lives so he could have lived in New Kelp City.
In the episode, 'Doing Time', there's another line that alludes to Mrs. Puff's criminal past. During her delusion where Spongebob and Patrick are in the chilli, Spongebob asks why Puff doesn't wanna leave prison. To which she said: "I like it here. These are my people!" Referring to the prisoners
fr and it was only her second or first day.. and in the episode we barely seen her interact with other inmates there.. (besides serving chilli to them and breaking rocks). which means she probably has been there before and felt nostalgia..
the fact that we always thought spongebob was just filled with random nonsense and junk in the background but they have actual details in there that were thought out and carried on for years.
You need to have detailed backgrounds for characters when pitching a show, theodd1sout made a video on how he pitched a netflix show and explained the proxeaa
That’s what i thought when I was younger I thought that it was just funny dumb stuff that they put in the shows, but I couldn’t stop watching this video and all of these little hidden details coming together to form something like this just blows my mind to think about
@@heykatlin I personally do notice lots of stuff and analyze them, especially in things that I'm interested. However, I never got to see all the SpongeBob episodes and even those I'd seen, they were obviously not in order. The background of the tv show always seemed to be not detailed since it only has flat colours, though as this video pointed out there are many details that associate incidents and characters. So, basically, I'm under the impression that people who haven't watched the whole thing, including me, and people who have watched it several times, didn't really know these hints and assumptions.
To anyone who says his theories are overboard, I want to point out that the writers of TV shows do usually write out complete character backstories before having them interact in the episodes. It’s possible that, in this case, Mrs. Puff’s backstory was already written out, and they incorporate it into the episodes, while still having the main focus on the plot.
They wouldn't have added the newspaper in the lighthouse episode if this was exaggerated. They were waiting for someone to find the Easter eggs and connect the dots.
All shows have a background story to build plots upon including character background stories. Everything the creators add in is intentional. It just isn't reasonable to write out a show for so long without any foundation to build upon
Theory: The previous student was spongebobs cousin Stanley and that’s why he destroys everything he touches. It would also explain why spongebob is unteachable. Maybe it’s the family.
But here’s the thing Stanley would have to live in new kelp city he lived with his father sherm squarepants and it’s never mentioned where they lived but but the one episode where spongebob becomes mayor in new kelp city for taking out a gang you can see in the crowd that assembles a sponge surely if spongebob became mayor some of his relatives would visit him since if they lived in new kelp city and found out spongebob was becoming the mayor they would attend the rallies that spongebob held. So that kinda proves that he has no family in new kelp city
@@Official_Chivo.06 I also knew something was *fishy* about this but I couldn’t remember why But it has to be someone why was as destructive as Stanley Also Stanley couldn’t of even gotten the car started because of his destructive luck I gurentee the engine would break or the tires would pop as soon as he opens the door so it would be impossible for him to drive
@@jaredsabatelli2459 True since Stanley destroys everything he touches he wouldn’t be able to drive since the car would break so he couldn’t have caused a ruckus in new kelp city with his boat-mobile if he had one plus he would probably be locked up for his entire life if was him that’s another reason why it can’t be Stanley
Not to mention in season 13 ep.20 “ Arbor Day Disarray” when mrs puff is talking to the tree, she mentions a JOB AT SHELL CITY (AKA WHERE HER HUSBAND WAS FOUND)
Dear writers of SpongeBob If you’ve seen the comment I’ve replied too, it would be cool if Mrs puff’s husband and her meet (idk the plot but it would sound cool)
“Sorry I’m late class, I was sitting in traffic when the whole ‘I’m going to be doing this for the rest of my life’ thought came up and...uh, anyway...” -Mrs Puff in the Flatz episode
ok quick mini theory now that I’ve thought about this for a while: I think Bottomfeeder is working with the network broadcasting the Spongebob reality show. In the real world (our world, not the universe Spongebob takes place in), Spongebob’s boating school was added bc the Nick producers wanted school to be a main focus of the show, even though Spongebob is an adult. Therefore, in order to keep him in this very specific school environment, the producers made sure that Spongebob would never pass. In order to keep the cast consistent, they’d also make sure that his teacher (Mrs Puff) would never quit. They just so happened to find a teacher who pissed off a warden who was originally from out of town, and who would do anything to make her life a living hell. Keeping her with a student who drives her crazy for the rest of her life is the perfect way to do that. His interests align with the network, so they both play along with each other in order to both get what they want.
@@cmillion same ;=; im so shocked, my freind actually sent me this and I was like "no way these are true" 30 mins later, there is me screaming out of shock
@@matthewtorres8860 I didn't realize it either. Until I scrolled down and I was reminded, this is part 3. The conspiracy is so strange, so utterly attention-grabbing, that you _forget the name of the video._ Then after seeing the end of the video and pondering the "mystery", you scroll down to see the comment section. You see the name of the video, and then the comments, and it hits you. This is episode 3. Therefore, it means that there's a fourth episode.
There was a recent episode called "Labor Day" and during it Sandy gives all of the fish some trees and Mrs. Puff got an tree. When Mrs. Puff got her tree she said "Finally someone to talk about that Kelp city thing" or something like that and then all of the owners ditch the trees and when Mrs. Puff does the tree goes a phone and calls the police saying "Hello, police? I think I got a lead on that Kelp city incident." So I think there is something else going on about it.
Mrs. Puff is the only SpongeBob character I'd actually want to see get a spinoff. Not a long-running show lasting multiple seasons, mind you, but just a mini-series going into her shady past (maybe even finally showing the events that led to Mr. Puff's demise).
22:05 The student was his child and Mrs Puff gave him his driver license and got killed. Now he despises her and wants her to feel his pain, to live a life with constant pain. He forces her to be with someone she utterly hates, because he can't be with the person he wants the most.
Yeah but how would Mr puff know where mrs puff is and spongebob since he supposedly got taken by fisherman in new kelp city and then mrs puff supposedly started a new life
I remember when watching the show again, 20+ age, I realized how erratic and crazy Ms Puff performance in the show actually was, didnt notice how uncomfortable to see it could be until I grew up. For me, this thory is the cannon.
I think this is why new kelp city is called "new". Because Mrs. puff's previous student destroyed the first kelp city so they had to build another for the citizens
I mean. The newspaper reporting ON HER says new kelp city…unless they made the city again and then reported about her destroying an old city after making a whole city…it wouldn’t make sense.
I’m so happy when writers do this for shits and giggles, for themselves, BUT they end up entertaining a whole different generation with their stories! I LOVE watching these!!! This show actually makes more sense to me!
Widow : *doesn’t want to talk about the fact that their dead spouse was killed, hollowed out, filled with wiring and a light, and is now a light in a house* Theorists : Interesting...
Jeez, replace the anthropomorphic fish with human cartoon characters, and your show’s humor gets darker than that of Family Guy or Robot Chicken. It sounds like something out of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

@@vlogsbycora2035 I think the “loved one” that we saw on the painting was actually the person Mrs. Puff gave the license to. He drove around recklessly, and he ended up crashing and dying. Richard was his brother/father, and he blamed Mrs. Puff for giving up on him, which led to his death. He wanted to teach her a lesson to never give up on a student, so he forced her to teach Spongebob, another “incompetent” student.
I suspect that her problem student from New Kelp City was Stanley Squarepants. He is the only other known character to constantly cause severe levels of destruction from simple accidents, and this would add fuel to her sponge-based insanity.
Omg, after rewatching, there's more info that supports this! -Stanley is from out of town and has the same hairstyle as the New Kelp City news fish, suggesting that it could be the typical fashion there. It is also vaguely similar to the Warden's hairstyle because it's sleek, especially if it's parted in the middle. -Cousin Blackjack also has the same hairstyle and was incarcerated for several years for... LITTERING!?! There's no way that such a massive penalty was assigned impartially! The warden likely targeted Stanley's family for revenge and nailed Blackjack with a gross abuse of authority. -Sending Spongebob, his blood relative who lives in the city she moved to, to her new school as soon as it opens is something that the spiteful warden might do, perhaps to show her that she is being watched and/or to haunt her with her past disastrous failure. Why else would he conveniently be the first person to meet her? Perhaps it was also a setup for poetic justice; if both Stanley and Mrs. Puff caused the death of someone close to him, what better way to bring retribution than to have a relic of Stanley destroy HER life as well?

@@mustafaraja5350 ARG stands for “Alternate Reality Game”. It’s a bit hard to define exactly, but typically it’s about spreading parts of a story around and hiding them on interconnected parts of the internet. It may be about the community solving a mystery to figure out the story. For example, this ARG is spread across at least 4 separate UA-cam channels and a website that, at first, seem to be completely unrelated. For more details on this specific ARG, here’s a fairly good video talking about it it ( ua-cam.com/video/O1R2B-m8Dxg/v-deo.htmlm19s )
I think the scariest thing about this theory is that the fish reporter lost all his hair when he grew older. Like damn he had those LuCiOuS locks before
This, in my opinion, is the most important of all SpongeBob theories. Not in what it covers, but how it exists. The fact that one of the storyboard writers actually confirmed that the mystery exists show that other mysteries do indeed exist in the show and that all these seemingly coincidental events lead to bigger things.
My personal SpongeBob driving theory: SpongeBob has bad eyesight. He regularly wears glasses for jellyfishing, and is also sometimes shown wearing them for reading (impairment in both close-range and distance vision is a sign of astigmatism). For some reason, he never thinks to wear the glasses for driving. In the movie, he wore contacts, which explains why he drove the Patty Wagon perfectly.
Theory doesn't mean this is only possible, for something to be a theory you need a facts: Theory of evolution is widely accepted, but it's named theory too.

I mean how else are adults supposed to have fun while making children’s cartoons? I think making an entire scandal about a pufferfish who runs a driving school would be fun and really challenge your writing skills quite a bit.
I think this may also fit in with the TV theory. As they (the in show filmmakers) want Mrs.Puff to be a constant character and she’s very entertaining. IF the warden didn’t lose a loved one to Mrs.Puffs long lost student, could he be being payed off like Mr.Krabs?
My theory is that he was payed by the SpongeBob crew for the Krabs vs plankton episode if you hear carefully when SpongeBob mentions the driving lessons you hear he said "she" so the former warden was a female si probably the SpongeBob crew found out a way to make him the warden and he use that position to not only fulfill his revenge but to go with the shows agenda too since the prision it's a recurrent place in the show

yeah not to suck him off too much but what I like abt his theories is just what he expressed at the start: they stem from stuff in the show that seems to imply smth deeper. the problem w/ a lot of cartoon theories is they start w/ someone thinking "wouldn't this random thing be cool?" and then looking for anything in the show to support their idea. alex uses what's in the show as the basis of his theories
I also noticed another detail that speaks for this theory. In the episode where Spongebob and Patrick got their whirly brains, there's a scene showing Mrs. Puff and Mr. Krabs going on a date. Mrs. Puff calls Mr. Krabs by his first name Eugene, but Mr. Krabs calls Mrs. Puff Mrs. Puff. Now, why would anyone call the person they are dating by their last name? That's just weird, especially since Mrs. Puff calls Krabs Eugene. That's because Mrs. Puff isn't her real name and she hasn't told Mr. Krabs her first name because she has to hide her real name. Even the people creating the SBSP wikipedia entries can't seem to agree on her real first name. Some articles say it was Poppy, other call Mrs. Puff Penelope 🤔 I'm sure this can't be a coincidence
That is such a good piece of evidence there, my friend. We must join in on the detective work. For who else but a theorist to investigate and see the details?
"Okay Mrs. Puff, what's my final score?" "...six." "WOO! And how many do I need to pass?" "...six-" "Ooooooooooooooh-" "-Hundred." "...wha?" "Six-Hundred. You need six-hundred to pass. You got six."
@Joshua Hill sure, it wouldn't equal 600 but it wouldn't equal 666 either that would be 612 or you said 6 + 6 + 100 which wouldn't equal 666 either, it would equal 112. so no 666 references here. unless this is a joke. *I'll happily r/woooooosh myself if it is.*
I'd argue it actually makes more sense for Bottomfeeder's son/brother/father to be the *student* who Mrs Puff gave up on, rather than just some random citizen who got killed. It explains why she would have a picture of him, and why Bottomfeeder seems to intent on blaming her specifically. Bottomfeeder's brother was a man who trusted Mrs Puff when she said he was ready for his license, and through no fault of his own ended up driving in public well before he was ready and either getting sent to prison for the damage he caused or possibly even dying in the resulting accident. This also explains why Bottomfeeder seems to have kind of a soft spot for Spongebob. Yeah, the lawyer incident was kinda mean, but Bottomfeeder gets Spongebob free boating lessons, and he hires him for a summer job (that he clearly wants) despite presumably knowing he was unqualified. Although he started off as just a way to get back at Mrs Puff, Bottomfeeder may have noticed the similarities between Spongebob and his poor brother, and is treating this as kind of a second chance.
I actually think Bottomfeeder is still purely manipulating SpongeBob to get at Mrs. Puff, because if he did grow a soft spot for SpongeBob and genuinely cared about him, he wouldn't allow SpongeBob to be put in the same situations that ended in his loved one's demise.
I mean she def didn't have it since childhood but a Google search about ocean snails, they can live upward of 25 years. We don't know how old any of them are
There’s actually a kinda plausible explanation why balloon animals might distract the cops. Remember Bubble Buddy? More specifically, do you remember how Bubble Buddy stood there and allowed that one fish to _die?_ If there’s a species of sapient bubble creatures in the sea, and they tend to be malicious, the cops would probably freak out at the sight of balloon animals because they look so much like bubbles!
Actually her having Spongebob's diary makes sense. Depending the order of the episodes. In the season 9 episode "Little Yellow Book" Squidward gets a hold of Spongebob's diary and reads it to everyone and humiliates Spongebob but in the end Spongebob turns his diary into a bestselling book. Everything else she probably did steal

Lighthouse Louie’s ending dosen’t put Mrs. Puff in jail or in the hospital. Which I really like because seeing her getting hospitalized or imprisoned almost each episode she appears in just makes me feel sorry for her.
What if the student Mrs. Puff prematurely passed was The Warden's son. He went to prison, which ruined his life, so now The Warden is ruining her's. And if every picture in her house is meaningful, then it would make so much sense if she had a picture of the student she prematurely passed.
What if his son died in a boat crash because he was prematurely passed? This would make the death haunt her and give more meaning of how she failed him as a teacher.

What would be the implications if the SpongeBob SquarePants theory were to be proven correct? Would it be considered canon and become part of the SpongeBob lore? How would it affect the way people perceive the show? These are some of the questions that arise when considering the ramifications of this theory.
If we combine all his theories, I'd say that the TV scuba diving documentary producers he theorized about know about this and still let it happen. Or worse, they torment so many characters throughout the show behind the camera or even on live TV. King Neptune is the only one immune to the torture because of course he is, he's too powerful for them to contain. But everyone else, from Pearl, to Mrs Puff, to Patrick, to even Patchy/The Flying Dutchman, is doomed to a life of tragedy, all for our amusement. Those implications are incredibly disturbing and depressing when you think about it. Nope, if this is true, we need to take action. Friends, assemble. Let's set our favorite yellow porous sponge and his friends free from this torture and the creepy alien death cult that try so hard to ruin their lives. So that kinda proves that he has no family in new kelp city

ok quick mini theory now that I’ve thought about this for a while: I think Bottomfeeder is working with the network broadcasting the Spongebob reality show.

He wanted to teach her a lesson to never give up on a student, so he forced her to teach Spongebob, another “incompetent” student.
hi

"Six-Hundred. You need six-hundred to pass. You got six."
Lol
@Joshua Hill sure, it wouldn't equal 600 but it wouldn't equal 666 either
that would be 612
or you said 6 + 6 + 100
which wouldn't equal 666 either, it would equal 112.
so no 666 references here.

Damn perfect

true
I Also thought that he was the driver but not this much
I actually think Bottomfeeder is still purely manipulating SpongeBob to get at Mrs. Puff, because if he did grow a soft spot for SpongeBob and genuinely cared about him, he wouldn't allow SpongeBob to be put in the same situations that ended in his loved one's demise.
“you’ve had it since you’ve been a little girl….”

There’s actually a kinda plausible explanation why balloon animals might distract the cops. Remember Bubble Buddy? More specifically, do you remember how Bubble Buddy stood there and allowed that one fish to _die?_
If there’s a species of sapient bubble creatures in the sea, and they tend to be malicious, the cops would probably freak out at the sight of balloon animals because they look so much like bubbles!

Lighthouse Louie’s ending dosen’t put Mrs. Puff in jail or in the hospital. Which I really like because seeing her getting hospitalized or imprisoned almost each episode she appears in just makes me feel sorry for her.
17:07 "stealing things is her way of coping..." sounds like Marie from breaking bad LMAOOO
What if the student Mrs. Puff prematurely passed was The Warden's son. He went to prison, which ruined his life, so now The Warden is ruining her's. And if every picture in her house is meaningful, then it would make so much sense if she had a picture of the student she prematurely passed.
That smart
I think you just solved the mystery
What if his son died in a boat crash because he was prematurely passed? This would make the death haunt her and give more meaning of how she failed him as a teacher.
Wait what if the warden was the untrained driver and he killed someone he loves and he wants revenge on Ms. Puff for letting him drive

Hello there what video are you going to do next
That's what I'm saying
IT'S LEMON SCENTED!
No more torture, only justice for our favorite sea creatures.
This man has dedicated his life in search of truth. We salute you.
