Debunking the Krabby Patties are crabs theory (since I’m literally getting commented about it non-stop)
Why is Mr Krabs the only crab in Bikini Bottom except for his family? You could ask the same question about Spongebob, Mrs. Puff, Plankton, Larry the Lobster, etc. By the same logic any of them could just as easily be the secret ingredient.
At one point Krabs takes a bite of a krabby patty and says “so that’s what I taste like.” While this is a fun idea, he’s saying this because another fish just compared the old and dry taste of the sandwich to Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs has definitely eaten Krabby Patties before, so if they were crab meat he wouldn’t be saying “so that’s what I taste like” as if he’s never tried them before.
The Krusty Krab is shaped like a Crab-Trap. It's been confirmed that it's actually based on a lobster trap, not a crab trap.

you know how the pets are worms and snails? they are less advanced then fish even when they were primal so when the radiation hit they got more advanced like snails could say meow and the worms could bark so they did evlove

The Question now is, did he really adopt Pearl because he feels bad about her mothers death? If he uses her mother as meat for the krabby patty he clearly can't feel to bad about it, what if instead he took her in and is spoiling her in hopes that she grows up big so she can supply more meat once her mother is all used up.

Adding more to this theory, in the episode "Spongicus" (the one where Plankton turns the Chum Bucket into the Colosseum), Plankton reveals the ingredients for chumsticks as the following: Jellyfish squeezings; Seahorse snout; Sprinkle of anchor rust, and....

Daddy found me on the day I was born. According to him, my mom had died suddenly. I had no other family, so he took it upon himself to raise me. I never cared about the fact that I was adopted, or that I never knew my mom. It was always me and him, and I knew he loved me. That was all I needed.
On my 5th birthday, Daddy got me a bike. He taught me how to ride it, even if he kept complaining about his back. That was the last time I remember him being taller than me.
On my 7th birthday, I tried getting on the bike to ride with friends. It broke in half. I cried so much I thought my eyes would float clean off. But Daddy was there to comfort me. Despite his cheapness, he'd promise me a new one. He said that I was just going to be bigger than the other girls when I grew up, and that it was nothing to be ashamed of.
On my 12th birthday, Daddy threw me a birthday party at the Krusty Krab. It was embarrassing how much he dotted on me, but it was still sweet to see how much he cared. He wouldn't let me eat any of the patties, and even though I didn't even like them, I still wanted to know why. Daddy seemed to panic a little, and he threw out an excuse that I needed to watch my weight since I was almost twice his height now.
On my 16th birthday, Daddy threw me another birthday at the Krusty Krab. It was really embarrassing at first; it seemed like he put in no effort into anything, and it didn't help that my friends kept complaining. It's funny how I cared so much about how they thought of me, but now I don't even remember their names. By the end of the party, though, I found out that my Daddy got me everything I asked for: presents, ponies, a performance from my favorite band, it was all so sweet! It was only later when I caught him trying to return half the stuff did I realize that Spongebob was the one behind all of it. Around that time, it seemed like exciting things only happened when Spongebob was around. Daddy was so withdrawn during that year, always at the Krusty Krab, giving out excuses about "managing the business". Apparently there was a meat shortage that he had to deal with.
On my 20th birthday, I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be Daddy's sole caretaker. It was getting harder for me to move around the house. I didn't mind, it was Daddy I was more worried about. His nightmares were getting worse, even with the pills I gave him every morning. He said that his spirals were all because of stress from work. The meat shortage was getting worse. I told him that I could help with the business, if he would tell me the formula. He refused over and over, giving out more excuses about how I wasn't old enough yet, how knowing the family recipe was a special event that couldn't be spoiled. I couldn't remember the last time we had a conversation that didn't include an excuse.
It's my 21st birthday. Daddy looks happy today. Almost too happy, given all the crying I heard last night. He tells me that I'm big enough, and that he's gonna teach me the secret formula.
We drive to the Krusty Krab. Daddy's quiet. He looks over once, the mask-like smile he has slipping a little. I can see it in his eyes. He looks away when he notices me starring back.
We get to the Krusty Krab. Daddy tells me to follow him. It's empty; Squidward and Spongebob's usual banter is nowhere to be heard. That's strange, Daddy never gives them a day off. Daddy leads me to the kitchen, not his office, where the formula is. He leads me to the freezer.
He tells me he loves me.
He closes the door.

See- here’s the thing. According to Planktons Intern, Pearl knows the formula. And while this theory disproves it totally, I’d like to think this so that I don’t lose my love for the series entirely.

I’ve seen multiple examples of people pointing out how weird it is for fish people to eat fish. I can never find myself to be bothered by it. Fish already eat fish

The biggest outlier in this whole thing is actually Sandy. She specifically came down to Bikini Bottom and talks about other squirrels back home in Texas, so this is not the only place that has intelligent animals. And there is even a cat that shows up in a more recent episode that is fish sized and is basically a celebrity who pretends to be able to hold their breath indefinitely underwater, so we know that there are intelligent animals on land.
I guess the explanation for that is that if Neptune exists then there's probably other God's who could also evolve animals in other places

The theory of Pearl's mother being used to feed fish for years has some basis in reality. When whales die, their corpses sink to the seafloor and are scavenged by a wide variety of species. This is called a "whalefall" and it can sustain a mini-ecosystem for *years.*
Would totally expect Stephen Hillenberg to come up with that and tell the writers about it

Another potential problem with this theory is that Mr. Krabs is canonically in his 50’s-60’s, and Pearl, for most of the show, is not yet 18. The show seems to imply that Krabs was a soldier is his youth, and that the Krusty Krab has been open for a couple of decades. If Krabs really got Pearl after the war and before the KK, one would think she’d be significantly older than she is in the show.
He must've killed a whale before Pearl's mother and only hunted her once that whale's body ran out of meat to use. Even if we assume Pearl is gonna be used next, Mr Krabs wouldn't be able to use her. Not only would he have gotten attached to her by then, but even if he didn't, she's too young. Not to mention, going by her age, by the time she is old enough to become Krabby Patty meat, Krabs would've been old and dead before he even saw her grow up. Am I reading into this too much? Maybe. Would it be a viable solution to allow Pearl to live against this cruel fate? Maybe, maybe not. Would I make it happen so Pearl gets to live? Absolutely!

Mother of Pearl is a thing found in real bivalves, the shiny coat their interiors have if they have a pearl. I doubt Mr. Krabs would use "Mother of Pearl" as a significant saying if he felt no guilt in using his mate/wife and daughter as food, but I could see him using a term associated with money to express emotion and naming his daughter after something valuable, even if he still intended to cook her (even though he's put Pearl and Mrs. Puff on the same level as money).

Sandy has this same higher intelligence as other fish, and can even communicate with them! Its already been stated that Sandy hasn't always resided in Bikini Bottom, so how did she get so smart?

He explained she could be a spy, but why send a squirrel? Theres the narrator, hands, scuba divers with cameras and Alex goes on to explain even Mr Krabs could be a spy to sell out his fellow citizens... So why Sandy? Where did her character come from?
This theory started off with humans documenting this higher intelligent fish species, observing and learning from them, but if higher intelligent life exists on land (i.e. Sandy Cheeks and other ape species) .. Why would undersea life be more intriguing to study? Unless life on land isn't as evolved in the Spongebob universe, and these are the only other animals that share human characteristics... So again, how did Sandy become so advanced?
In my opinion, Alex should do a background history on each character, and go from there.

The guilt of killing Pearl’s mother and discovering she had an infant daughter consumed his soul to the point where he adopted her and goes to extreme lengths to work and earn money to distract himself from not only the guilt of that but also the stress of other hardships in his life
Not to mention that since he grew up poor, and was bullied and harassed because he was poor, his greed is a coping mechanism to never feel "powerless" again.

All of this! Now obviously this doesn't excuse his actions but it does help explain it. Plus it's pretty clear Krabs dose get his punishment for his crimes. A worthless hat he graverobbed for, throwing away a friend for money (both plankton and sponge Bob), being annoyed by the teens who he hired to replace sponge Bob and squidward with when they went on strike, being stung to hell an back when abusing WILD jellyfish, being pelted with peanuts (and maybe facing jail time) for stealing a giant oyster's pearl-like egg. (look just cuz he thought it was a Pearl and didn't know it was an egg doesn't change that he still stole something important to the oyster.)
Plus the idea krabs would fatten his daughter up like that ignores that he's willing to prioritize her happiness over his own selfishness. Hell the tell tale boots show us another karmic punishment for not just being cheap with his family but lying to spongebob. That and when spongebob had to pretend to be him infront of his navy friends? He gets annoyed and offended when spongebob suggests he'd do a surgery on his own daughter just to save money. Heck, when Pearl was working at the krusty/kuddly crab? Yes he put his profits first but his primary concern was how firing his own daughter would affect their relationship as family. Pearls prom date ditches? He dose everything he can to make sure she has a date. His relationship with Mrs. Puffs has him having to choose between the two and eventually he figures out she isn't interested in his money, she's interested in him.
So while crabs is terrible at priorities? At least he actually cares and comes to his senses.
Remember that one episode where krabs was harvesting jelly from jellyfish by literally squeezing them dry? I'm not all that shocked that he'd use pearl's mother as meat for the patties

the ending was crazy genius, he showed that he is self aware that no one cares about his films, and gave a valid reason to "chase for clouts" and denied future attacks that may tell him he is a "sellout".

Hey Alex. I love your theories and I'm glad you brought up some good points and everything that I would think in the back of my head. As I got older I would always ask questions about the show and certain scenes that seem to be letting on more than what people think.
However, as dark as the theory is about pearl's mother and how whale is secret formula, I would like to bring up a point about it that I'm wondering.
If the secret formula is pearls mother, what about in the Sponge out of water movie
The whole theme of the movie is they need to find the secret formula because all the patty meat has run out.
If the secret formula is whale and it was pearls mom, then how come he runs out of meat in the movie, but then makes krabby Patty's after he got the formula?
If the main ingredient is whale meat, and he runs out, then it would be over for Mr. Krabs.
But in the movie, they find the formula and then they can make the Patty's.
I'm not disproving the theory or anything, I'm just pointing it out.
Maybe mr.krabs just needs the formula to add certain things to the whale meat or something.

Wait so, what about the fish reporter? He's drawn in a realistic style as if he were a primitive fish, yet he seems to be intelligent and is seen to have the ability to speak. I think there are crossbreeds between the primitive fish and the evolved fish. Maybe one of his parents was evolved and the other wasn't, so he inherited the genes that make him *look* like the primitive fish, but he is actually intelligent.
I think it’s more likely he’s artificial. Fish in spongebob are only shown as photorealistic when they are dead. Plus we know sentient AI exists with Karen. So I put forward the reporter is actually an intelligent singing fish like you’d find on the wall of bars. He’s just got some advanced AI that makes him alive.
