- Did I find a tank? Everyone was screaming at me to dig it up to find out. What I did find was an amazing Nazi eagle cap badge which to this day is one of my favourite finds.

Roger that, it is indeed a tank barrel. AT ALL COSTS: Dig that thing up. Everything seems to be preserved well and a tank like that could get allot of attention. Contact a few tank museums and get some funding to get it towed out and taken to a good home for display and or restoration. PLEASE do this. There are SO few tanks left around.
upvote this!
North Korea had the largest antique tank collection on earth, their military!
+iamlegend835 Fuck North Korea bruh
+iamlegend835 ha!
+iamlegend835 North Korea has the happiest population on earth!
DIG IT UP ITS A TANK
what is it then
+David o it's an artillery cannon idk why he won't dig it up. Get some friends to help or them do it.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ikr
+Deep Digger Dan Its a artillerty cannon pls dig IT Up and listend Too me pls
+Deep Digger Dan Why won't you dig it up? or have someone dig it up? It seems like a great find!
So many people here who played world of tanks and now think they're experts in all things tanks. No, this isn't a tank, if the "barrel" was attached to anything you could be able to see at least part of it sticking out of the ground. No, it isn't a German 12,8cm, its far too small and looks nothing like the K.44 apart from the fact that also has a Pepperpot muzzlebreak. If it even is a cannon barrel, it very well may be an odd pipe, it's likely a field artillery piece from the 1950s-60s.
Yeah, i don't know where everybody got the idea that it is a tank.
That hole was made by a woodpecker, Dan.
+Nerfblaster234 Or your Mom :)
+Blake Nichols it sure could I've seen it many times in the woods
Pecking isn't the only thing it does to wood ;-)
no. george micheals makes them. he twidles holes in the trees of all the woods on the planet. much like a woodpecker but georgie boi is a wood sucker. no bird makes thise holes mate. only georgie bois
lol. and who would put a glory hole 5 feet up on a tree. a 10 foot giant could stick his shovel through maybe.
I guess I'll follow the trend......DIG IT OUT!

+Deep Digger Dan why not?!?!
+Deep Digger Dan BUT YOU SEAD YOU WOULD
+Deep Digger Dan HOLY MAUSER IT IS A 1928 limited edition saab tank end BRO THATS LIKE 50000 POUNDS MONEY WISE
Dan, if your not going to please can I have the exact location, got a team willing to dig it up
Edward Neve

dan
Dig that tank out! It's gonna be your biggest find... literally!
+Kabuki Kitsune much too small to be that.
A Delorean how would it be a delorian also no doc brown any ware
+Dr Alhashimi Dan first posted this so called tank in Oct of 2012. I ask You if You found that three years ago would You have at least dug it UP by now?
+Blake Nichols Could be, but Dan's "My medal detector finds WW2 Tank" has over 2 million views.
Dan's video "My medal detector finds WW2 Machine Gun" has close to 2 million views.
Dan's video "Pulling the pin on a live WW2 hand grenade" has over 2.5 million views, but the rest of Dan's videos average a hundred thousand views more or less.
Dan's "CRIME SCENE! Bloodied Gun found medal detecting" is a great example of reintroducing videos for more views.
Crime scene bloodied gun has over one million views, but another view titled "The gun I found in the woods" has under five hundred thousand.
Still Dan's video uploads are better than most of the History and Discovery channels regurgitate crap.
+Dr Alhashimi the gun is a flack gun it is mounted on a carridge with a toungue for transport.
"stabby stabby stab stab stab" 😂😂
MillaRyann L put caption on and see what it says
THE TANK IS HISTORY! DIG THAT HUNK-A-JUNK (not literally) BUT DIG IT UP!!!!!
damn now I want a metal detector
Same when I seen this video
When he pointed out the hole in the tree I couldn't help bet laugh my a$$ off
Dan, that is the same barrel from the last time you were in Germany. it may not be exatlly a tank, but an Anti-Tank cannon. it still would be very cool to have in a room.
Or aa
It's your channel, say what you like and tell anybody who disagrees to take the long walk on a short pier
this is a tank im 100% sure come on dig that big boy up
+Deep Digger Dan why!!! You could make history
+Deep Digger Dan It might be a artillery cannon barrel.
+Deep Digger Dan Then will you tell us where it is?
+Rutenis Valenta someone with a brain will dig up history
It's not a tank, but instead a 7.5 PAK anti-aircraft gun. A lot of people keeps saying it's not a tank, but this find could be even rarer as it's from 1928
i've watched your channel grow and your finds and videos get better and better, from the paddock in your first videos to your wild winter camping to your present videos, you are an inspiration..kepp up the good work.
That bayonet should be called the tetanus inducer 3000
Hmmmm... That muzzle break just doesn't seem like a tank gun, but hey! why would I know? Very awesome if it is! Please do dig it up.
+Deep Digger Dan why not?
Oye Enzo, why don't you dig up the focking tank?
Why me?
That muzzle break is used for a gun that multi-high caliber ammunition at a time. Tank muzzle breaks, specially American ones can get up to as big as a person.
Ok, ok. I'm not used to tank gun muzzle breaks having that kind of design. No need to get so angry.
Me own stabby stab stab stab loll oh my god lol
I miss these old videos filmed on his phone and the lovely old intro
Love watching these very addicting. Its really something to try to imagine the people that owned these things and how they where lost. Weekend is here time to sit down and watch more digging thanks a lot for taking the time to make these videos
It couldn't be a tank if the date is 1928, they didn't have tanks with guns of that caliber yet. It may be a long artillery piece or AA gun
agree
ww2 ended 1945
+SLMxHD WWII Started 1939
+Panos Fasoularis Japan surrendered on the 13th of August 1945, right after it had two atomic bombs dropped on it...
Panos Fasoularis but In america World war 2 ended 1945 even google it
DIG Up THE TANK
+Deep Digger Dan pls m8 dig it up
+Kaavin SKY you dig it up
Lol. You are so much fun! Love the badge! I think you should dig it up!
Anyone else watching this in 2020 just for the nostalgia
1. Its not a tank. Its an anti tank gun. (7.5 pak i think)2. It will be hard to dig up.3. How the heck will he get it out of there?
Tanks and Wolves Its not an antitank gun, it's a water pipe foot valve screen
It looks nothing like one
Tanks and Wolves There's a hex nut connecting the pipe and the screen. Tank barrels don't have giant hex nuts
For stuff such as tanks and aa, your best choice is to call a local museum
2:45 Yeah the splinters just aren't worth it.
That exposed gun looks more like the barrel of an artillery piece than that of a tank. Whatever it is, it's definitely worth digging up. It looks very well preserved.
deep digger Dan you are an epic person! how amazing you get to live in such a history ridden area. America is history full but nothing that intense that still is detectable. my grandpa served in ww2, and loves your videos! thanks for sharing all you find
The item at 4:44 is a machinist's hammer head. At 11:22 a vehicle horn
BRUH YLTHAT WAS A FREAKING TANK DIG IT UP
+Liam Minter Not a tank. Most likely a anti-tsnk weapon
TonyDaPanda V2 both wrong that's a anti aircraft gun
Barterchimera1 Abrams dual purpose...
You lucky sod finding that lovely cap badge along with the stabby bayonet. I've only seen a cap badge like it in a museum. Get in there mate. ATB Tony
Another great video! Thanks for the entertainment Dan!
Theres no way thats a tank, and if thats from 1929 the tanks back then didnt have huge guns like that. Thats late ww2 german tigers and panthers and stuff
7.5 cm pak
Michael McGinley its an AA gun
Very cool cap badge you got! Would you dig up the tank already?! ;-)
What a beautiful rusty car horn you found... far better than a tank :-)
Amagine being the person walking by and seeing a British guy yelling at a tree
Is there a video of you digging up the barrel?
www.fieldsofglorymodels.co.uk/135-scale-75-cm-pak-9738-metal-barrel-upgrade-ww2-german-anti-tank-gun-8730-p.asp
Think we found our tank
UMADBRO1221 w
UMADBRO1221 burning wasn't a 7,5 it more looked like 8,8 pr 90 because the caliber of a 7,5cm pak isn't the biggest
I remember the old video from 8 years ago haha good time defiantly subscribing again
Thank you Mr. Dan, I no longer have to explain to my boy's not to wonder around the woods sticking their willies in knot holes.
Quem veio pelo canal do polado?
It is not a tank the date of 1928 rules that out Germany was in economic stagnation at the time and it's five years before the Nazi's came to power and six years before they agreed with Russia to covertly develop tanks and none of the German pre war tanks were capable of mounting such a barrel. It is not an anti tank gun either as the size would indicate a calibre far higher then the Wehrmacht possessed prior to Barbarossa. Two options remain anti aircraft gun or vent pipe, personally I think it's a vent pipe and I think Dan saw something that led him to the same conclusion or he'd have gone back and had a go at digging it up as that would be any detectors dream to find even an artillery piece sorry guys it's scrap junk nothing more interesting.
No one just walks away from thousands of pounds or any other currency sorry but it's scrap and Dan knows it or he would have gone back and excavated it.
+Andrew Austin that wasn't the date...
tank barrels ranged anywhere from 20mm autocannons to 152mm howitzers ("tank" being very broadly used to describe armored fighting vehicles with autonomous movement capability) - the russian T-60 had a 20mm autocannon, while another russian tank, the KV-2, was equipped with a 152 mm cannon that was mainly used to attack fortifications but also had a HEAT shell against armored targets and hardened bunkers.
there is also the SU-100Y with a 130mm naval gun, etc. etc. etc.
there were also numerous russian tanks with 57mm barrels, and 45mm barrels, like the ZSU-57, T-34-57, ZIS-30.
damn, It'd be a crime not to dig that barrel up and see what's it attached to.
He's mad at the pan lid 😂👌
how could you not dig that up, that would be the coolest thing ever to find in the woods, please dig it up. everyone wants to see it
11:25 it's a car horn
I think its an german K98 bayonet right?
yes
+sjoerd stok looks like that to me. I'm working on getting one for my rifle, so i've been looking at a lot of german bayonets.
+sjoerd stok It con't be the tube is too thick and long?!?
+Seven Days At Gatryks it is an anti aircraft gun one can tell by the length and thickness flack gun.
+sjoerd stok nein
Hi Dan, STUNNING EAGLE BADGE!!! .... nice finds....great video... cheers,g:)
C'mon get in lol what a funny catch phrase
That item at 11:30 time is a HORN from a MILITARY truck/car.
+raider6511 truth
I think it is part of a tank dig it up
You know, collectors would pay you good money for it if you do dig it up. I'm serious. There are a lot of people out there for some reason that want original WW2 Vehicles untouched or broken.
+Grenaders 3 it might not be a tank but a anti-tank gun or a howitzer or even better a anti aircraft gun
Still people would pay a **** ton of money even for those.
+Grenaders 3 but some one says it's a 12.8cm pak 12/8
which will sell for probably half a mil
Though it was partly a older video. I do love the look of the badge you found. Good Job!
That’s a pak.44 128mm. Only about 51 were made. This is a very rare anti tank gun and should be dug up and preserved immediately
I think I have identified that it is a TANK
It is a WW|| panzer Tank the greatest of ww2, u must contact a museum or maybe even call the authorities to get someone to dig it up before it rots away, this is history, pls don't be selfish and try and do it yourself👍
It said 1928, that’s not ww2
Caden Goddard Yeah but the number does bot have to be a date... and it might still be some weapon build in 1928 and well used in the 2. Ww, for all we know the number could mean anything.
when you will dig up the tank ??
maybe you can tell it to museum! so they will dig it
+Deep Digger Dan why not :(
Loved the video dan.
Yes David. Precisely. The barrel is quite long. About 2-1 meters in length. It also has a suppressor at the tip. This was used to make tank cannons Fire infront and not make a lot of noise to the people behind it. Basically, the shots are loud in front of the barrel, but a bit silent behind it.
It's not a tank, it's a anti-aircraft gun
Is not a anti eircraft GUN ITS to big
+War Thunder Gameplays It could be an 88mm aa cannon.
+riderzinc HOLY MAUSER IT IS A 1928 limited edition saab tank end BRO THATS LIKE 50000 POUNDS MONEY WISE
+riderzinc what gun do you think it is?
vwbussesareforever a muzzle break is threaded onto the end of the barrel....
2018 any one
Mr Challenge287 yes

the tree hole.. LOL
"What is it? boring!" He says as he finds a large empty center-fire round (9:13)
Dig it up, Dan!!
I just love all your shows dan 😃 but dont dig a hole tank made 🤣
So, yeah. Mate, you just found a genuine tank barrel.
Yes, you did find part of a plane. That's a piece that goes on a wing, it's put over top of two other pieces on the bottom of a wing to help it hold together better and be more aerodynamic.
Challenges Mother Nature... Ends up running for his car. XD
I can confirm that is not at all a tank barrel. It is an artillery cannon.
dude ,u should have diggen it up or alert some other people that can, dude that is history right there.
Darn, I do appreciate the remaster and your time and dedication, but I thought you finally came back to this find
deep digger Dan every time I watch one of you metal detecting videos you always make me laugh
Brilliant find Dan! I'm sure is is a tank as well!👍
You crack me up!👊😆👍
There's nothing better than getting wet and muddy in pursuit of treasure!
Never seen a man get so excited over a Nazi insignia medal in my entire life.
that "Old broach" is what interests me, Luftwaffe, lapel pin.
I am no expert, but sir, you have found a tank. for a second i thought it was a giant artillery piece for some reason XD
Congrats , you found the turret of tank.
haha great vid mate that hole u found was funny 🤣
That thing off a vehicle is actually off a... Are ya ready for it off a vehicle. HOORAY FOR DAN!!!!!!! You got that one right,it is a horn, you know beepity, beepity, beep.

Amazing video and amazing channel and amazing job friend 😀😎❤👍
That has to be a tank barrel. DIG IT UP!!!!
Congrats you found a tank!
Wow Dan that was a great find today
Hi Dan, unfortunately thats not a gun barrel. Its a length of pipe from a pump system. The component on the end is called a foot valve (Or strainer) and its used to stop stones and large debris from being drawn into the pipe as the water is sucked in by the pump. Keep up the videos, keep up the enthusiam and a massive well done for you charity work. Best regards, Dylan
The hole in the tree is a spy post. Soldiers would sit up on a ledge in there and spot things out from a distance.
I feel like i should tell that I enjoy your videos very much, COME ON! GET IN!
you found a tank fair and simple
the bayonet you kissed was probably inside of a dead guy.
Most likely an anti aircraft gun.
