    18:20 The gun is a Preetz Model 65 semi-automatic survival rifle, chambered in .22LR. That's why it's so small. It's post-WWII era, though. :/

Looked on wiki for the second gun this is what I found: The Preetz Model 65 is a blowback action, semi-automatic .22LR caliber survival rifle made in several models by Josef G. Landmann of Holstein or Preetz, West Germany, also listed as J.G.L. or JGL 65, 68 and 69 in some references.[1] It was intended as a rival to the Armalite AR-7. A .22 Magnum version identified by a tubular extension to the receiver was also made. An article on Guns.com has suggested that the Model 65 is actually a clone of the AR-7.[2] This claim is supported by allegations on some firearms forums that with a little work, many of the internal parts are interchangeable between the two. Hope this helped! :)

Dan,The "pipe bowl cover" is really a toilet seat for elves. :P2 of the curved metal items you found are likely halves of horse shoes, one other item could have been a heavily encrusted padlock. The knife could possibly be a Seax (sp?) A early day style of sword, but I really can't tell from the video. It could stand a good cleaning with electrolysis to be certain. OTT, it could be a Bowie type knife. Then I must ask- Are musket balls a soldiers social disease? Keep up the videos.

    • @c.e.f4916

L E Burnham technically a Seax is not a sword. That is if we are talking about a Viking Seax.

2nd gun is a JGL. Preetz Model 65 survival rifle. The bit that looks like plastic (the receiver) is made of a zinc-aluminum alloy called "zamac" They made around 35,000 of them between 1965 and 1975. Mechanically, they're basically ripoffs of the Armalite AR-7, but still, tis a nice find in the woods.

5:54 it's not a dogtag it looks like an epaulette of some sort. My idea could be backed up by the fact you also found musket balls with it. Pretty cool though!
The gun at the end is a Preetz Mod.65 and it looks like the magazine is still in so you should probably be careful if there's any ammunition still left inside which might be volatile.

I think the most significant find you have dug up is the Thor's hammer you found in Germany. After the cross, it's probably one of the most recognizable religious symbols one could wear around the neck. I believe you turned it over to German authorities as you should have. It would have been nice if you could have brought it home for a museum in GB.

The heart shape we know today was an ancient Roman fertility symbol, often used to ensure pregnancy and such. So it very well may be a heart if it is that old. I personally think it looks like an old Signet ring, so it may be from the Medieval era to the very early modern era. Keep up the great work!
As to the first gun, to me it looks like a quick change barrel from a machinegun (Which would make it at least from the late 1800's) to the current era. Ian from the Forgotten Weapons Channel here on youtube specializes in unusual and antique weapons, he may very well be able to recognize it. Second is a Preetz 65, a civilian weapon you can still get today.
