Basil ventures into the world of Runescape once more, featuring the RSCE private server. This once brutal world was full of life and players, but Jagex has since decided to take the classic servers down. How much fun really was Runescape?

Hey bud. When you talked about "old school" you were showing stuff from late rs2 or early rs3 with a few cinematics from oldschool runescape(osrs).
Osrs is a reboot from the game as it was back in 2007 with player voted upon updates. It the more popular of the 2 current versions of the game.

While this was NEVER a game that called or spoke to me it was VERY fun to see it thru the eyes of someone who loved it an knows the flaws and the pro's.

Out of all the MMOs I've played in the past year doing this series, Runescape has aged the most. It's got so much to unpack and there's so many great things about it. There's something to be said about being one of the first though.
Gotta call it like ya see it.

Most people don’t remember the original RuneScape. They think RuneScape 2 was the original. I will say though that 2 is much better and is what would be consider RS’s golden era, but the original game still had tons of charm imo

2. RuneScape 2 which later was ruined with HD/evolution of combat and p2w gambling and made into RuneScape 3- and its not newest

3. OldSchool 07 RuneScape. clip u showed was still from rs3 and my brain hurts.
Content about RSC was good , but the list haunts me as diehard fan

Removing clan from the wilderness was thw biggest mistake they made and it killed the game for.me
Lvl 113 fully f2p , with many skill at 95+ i dont really want to know how much time i spent on it

This game though me that spending time on activities with little or no benefit is worthless, even if you invest months and years of your life. It just doesn't yield anything. Not in ingame and not in real life (other than real life lesson about it being useless). Never falling into the MMO grind trap again thanks to RS.

Never played it but it does look like shit as any other abominable MMO damnation. Hopefully Diablo will never turn into MMO.
