@@TheAverageDrinker Toss up between Rare Breed and 1920 for me... I love a 50/50 of the EJ bottom barrel and Larceny still sweepings as a fruit bomb though, great watermelon and strawberry blast on the back end! Good as a daily and cheap! Get the little 50ml for $1.25 each, and there you go! 4 oz to Freedom! (Sorry Sublime fans...)
Love your choices. I just found and bought a 1792 Full Proof. I cannot find Blue Note in my area. I like the Knob Creek SB store picks, but the KC 12 year is my favorite. I would add Early Times BIB and OGD 114 as top value bourbons.
Started my bourbon journey about 9 months ago, just getting used to high proof and understanding the allure. Of the bottles in this video, the only two I have tried is the Knob Creek and Rare Breed, both amazing, both wonderful learning experiences.
I started in my 20s with Bourbon and later on switched to Single Malt Scotch, but sadly with inflation I've had to go back to bourbon more often than I'd like. I absolutely love both of Ardbeg's mainline barrel proof offerings and I would kill for a bottle of Redbreast 12 Cask Strength (I know it's Irish), but at the $100-120 price point it's not something that I can justify buying often. There are plenty of great offerings here in the states (Barrell, Balcones and ECBP are always in my top 10), but I wish we had more distilleries stateside putting out American Single Malts.
As a noob to this why is it no one ever talks about the “regular” flagship bourbons. It’s always the high proof stuff, is it just not worth it to try and buy the the original versions of stuff as a new bourbon drinker?
Post #2 I could easily incorporate any/all of your selections in my Top 5. However, to make it interesting I'm going list different pours 🥃. I prefer my daily pours 🥃 to be in the 90 - 110 proof range and under $70. 1) Woodford Reserve Dbl Oak = $46 2) Maker's Mark Cask Strength = $58 3) Bulleit Barrel Strength = $56 4) Redemption High Rye Bourbon = $50 5) Spirits of the Apocalypse - The Walking Dead KY Straight Bourbon = $30
The Blue Note uncut was the best bourbon I have had. It was $43, and it was so good I went back the next day and got 3 more. And I never spend over $40. My barrel was 116.5 proof. SO good.
Enjoyed the vid 👍 I'm going to have 2 posts. Nice list. Surprisingly, 7 or 8 out of 10 are readily available at nearby stores. Larceny & Blue Note are not. Not sure if they're the same but, the Knob Creek available to me is the Knob Creek 9 Single Barrel Reserve 120 (as reflected on the bottle) for $50. Being more budget conscious I'd swap the $80 Smoke Wagon UC/UF for the $56 Smoke Wagon Small Batch.
Great list! If you’re not for wheaters, everyone is different. I will say Larceny C922 is far superior to previous years. Fred Minnick put it 17th on his list, right with ECBP C922, but again, tastes differ. For me, I love it! And I love the ECBPs. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for sharing. I tried the Larceny C922 and did not like it. It could be on God’s list and I still wouldn’t like it. Just not my jam. I love the ECBPs, though! Thanks for watching! Cheers!
My daughter just got engaged To a USA Marine Veteran And I could not be more happy and he's a great Guy, I spent so many Times with him over a great Bourbon and a great Montecristo Cigar So. I Talked to my Buddy Jeff on my local favorite Liquor About getting me some Stagg Bourbon. For the big day. And he told, we will do it
The knob creek 9 single barrel store picks give knob 12 a run and knob 12 is my favorite also shout out to rare breed which is without question exceptional
Hey love the channel I was a little disappointed that you guys didn't mention Woodford reserve double oak or Old Force the 1910 but I'm sure everybody has their specific taste I'll keep watching though
I know we can get OF1920, Four Roses Sib, and Rare Breed around here pretty much all the time. I am not sure of the KC SiB. The 3 we can get are all solid choices with the Rare Breed coming in behind the OD and FR IMO. I would love to find the EC BP and 1792 BP. I think I would like them a lot.
I agree with your list...I guess because the list is mostly $40+ we cannot add Early Times or Copper's Craft 100 and is a bourbon list so we cannot add Jack Daniel's SB BP (debatable). I would've add Penelope Toasted, some Booker's if you find them at $85 MSRP, Knob Creek 12 and John J. Bowman SB.
Ohh I love Coopers Craft 100 and Early Times! Those would be great additions! Thanks for sharing. Also loved JD SiB BP and Penelope, as well as KC 12 and Bookers! Cheers!
If you're willing to stretch your wallet to $75, Barrell Vantage is the absolute most delicious whiskey I've had in years. You will NOT be able to stop pouring, once the bottle is breathing.
Nice! Well, I go to Total Bev sometimes to check their list. But past that, I don’t really share where I go for allocated. Generally don’t get it in Colorado. But I shop all around town.
I agree with the Russell's single barrel it's always amazing, recently found a store pick when I was visiting family in KY and it is delicious. Also on my list now would have to be anything wilderness trail, I have a BiB and a cask strength store pick that are my current favorites. Awesome list, along with the WT rare breed if you can find the rare breed rye pick it up.
I could not agree more with your picks. I know you want other favorites, BUT 1920 and rare breed are my jam. period. The knob Creek single barrel is fricken fantastic. I buy them whenever I find them. The only one I love not on your list is Jack Daniels single Barrel Barrel Proof. OMG it is also a true Bourbon legend, even though they say it isn't a bourbon.
Great show guys. Unfortunately my loss, but won't be drinking anymore Brown Forman, Jack Daniels, or Anheuser products, do to this Woke, Trans bs! Keep bringing us good bourbons/whiskey. Thx
Dude, it’s Dara’s show. If you want to kick it off or talk more than maybe get your own show. Dara, I know he’s your boy but boot him. Watching him talk over you for 20 mins isnt so fun and kills your usually great energy. IMO only.
I looked, and I couldn't find a single one of the ten bottles you had on the list, then I went into the other room, and found 7 of the 10... 🤣
Haha nice!!!! Which is your favorite??

I did that too, went back the same day and bought a back up.
Agreed, I have 4 bottles of the Blue Note store picks. Doesn't drink hot, some of the best juice/value out there. Gets better after it opens up.
Absolutely! Thanks so much for watching! Cheers!
I saw the Four Roses SB at Woodman’s yesterday for a rock bottom price of $35. That is an insane value for a great bourbon!
Wow! That’s amazing!
Thats the average price in my area. and you're correct, a great value for such a good bourbon..One of my "Keep in Stock" bourbons.
Enjoyed the vid 👍

I live in Loveland and it's hard to find a great selection, but I've got 8 of the 10. Planning a road trip to DaveCo on Friday while my wife is gone!
Ohh nice!! Hope you found what you were looking for! Cheers!
Smoke Wagon and Redwood are on sale in my Atl area. Can't beat these juices for $29. Great gateway bourbon for newbies.
Heck yes! That’s awesome! Cheers!
Really good list. Combines high quality, affordability and availability. Not easy to do.
Thank you so much for the feedback and for watching! Cheers!
i have 4 c922 ecbp. i bought them at msrp and everytime i found one. I love it. I also have 4 Larceny c922 that I love
Awesome!!
I love you girl

Michturs US1, Eagle Rare,Wilderness Trail. Some of my favorites. Great list you mad.!

Great list. I would add Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof to the list. Much easier to find than the Coy Hill.
Yes! Although, it's not technically called a bourbon haha
Love this list! I've had all but the Blue Note and find them all too be absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!! Cheers!
OF 1920 has a Uniqueness to it that I don't find often in other bourbons. Its a great pick for me
Hi I'm in the Aurora area and find alot of the stores in my area are not great. Happen to have a store suggestion you feel typically is well stocked?
Argonaut, Total Wine, Total Bev, DIA Liquors
Great list of bourbons. Been hitting the Sagamore double oak lately. Cheers u 2.
Thanks, you too! Cheers!
Yep. I have and enjoy all 10 of these picks! Great collection starter list.
So glad you enjoy them! Thanks so much! Cheers!

So. I Talked to my Buddy Jeff on my local favorite Liquor About getting me some Stagg Bourbon.
For the big day.

Gotta find that Blue Note. You two and others have given it good reviews. Appreciate the vid!
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching! Cheers!
Funny I also don’t favor wheated bourbon - tried …except OWA 107 , which I enjoy very much. Keep up the great content!!
1792 is great but i can't find any of their other offerings. Makes me sad😢

Great choice’s! I have all but the barrel Larceny, I have small batch. My top three of what you listed
Russell’s Reserve
Rare Breed
Knob Creek
Thanks so much for sharing! Cheers!
Excellent channel. thanks
Thank you so much for watching!
the select yes 4 roses single not around here in ny...been looking but no luck yet
Fingers crossed ya see it someday!
Solid, totally agree
Great picks! Love your taste Blondie, I love the same ones. Have to try Blue Note and Smoke Wagon still.
Thanks so much! Cheers!

Joey,
Not debatable: Even the Master Distiller at Jack Daniel's said it's bourbon.
This is a pretty perfect list
Thanks, Jeff!!!
Saved the best for last
Awesome Video i enjoyed the content cheers
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!!
Great list
Bardstown Origin is also a really good option for $49.
Absolutely! Hasn’t arrived in Colorado yet but I’ve tried them and agree!
The Blue Note Juke Uncut Unfiltered is so good at 40 bucks wow
Definitely agree!
I'd add Old Forester 100 $24 here and Maker's Mark 46 $40
Funny thing, I just found MM 46 at Costco for $27 out the door, picked up 3 bottles.
If you're willing to stretch your wallet to $75, Barrell Vantage is the absolute most delicious whiskey I've had in years. You will NOT be able to stop pouring, once the bottle is breathing.
It’s a great pour! I really enjoy Vantage
I live in the Denver area too. Where do you tend to shop that has the best selection of both allocated them on the allocated bourbon
Nice! Well, I go to Total Bev sometimes to check their list. But past that, I don’t really share where I go for allocated. Generally don’t get it in Colorado. But I shop all around town.
Love the channel and great list that you put togther. i would add Coopers' Craft Barrel Reserve and OGD 114 to that list.
Thanks so much! I love both of those! Cheers!
Lovely video presentation
Good list. I like OF 1920, WT Rare Breed, and 1792.
Thanks for watching!
going to Colorado this summer for vacation. Any recommendations on stores or tours to do? Thank you!!!

Me too :(
Just discovered your channel! Definitely like your list.
Thank you so much!! Glad you found it! Cheers!
Meijer right now has rare-breed on sale for $45
Hmmmm, always wanted a Four Roses Single Barrel barrel proof
The Four Roses SiBs are great! The single barrel barrel proofs are great, also!
What is a survivor barrel?
Buffalo trace! Great value bourbon.
I like it, also. It’s just not easy to find everywhere

Great list… Dara is money…👍💪
Widow jane 10 year
9 out of 10 😂 not bad
Haha 🙌🥃
Good job! I would say a Maker's product...I know you are not a fan, also anElijah Craig product, WT 101, and a Bulleit product.
For sure! We def had ECBP on the list and put WT Rare Breed but could def do WT 101! Bullet is also a great option!

I love it! Cheers!
Seelbachs does not deliver to Pa.
😢so sorry
I guess you guys do not like anything Buffalo Trace?
We do. But Buffalo Trace is not as easy to find on the shelf. Their products are highly allocated
9 out of 10 all but smoke wagon
That’s awesome!! Have you tried the Smoke Wagon?
@@TheAverageDrinker note yet
Where's Eagle Rare?
It’s not readily available or easy to find in most markets
Who doesn’t like Four Roses? Why does anyone care what they think after that?
My wife said we should hang out and my wife is hot…. And smart AF
If you take a shot every time Dara says "It's so good" in some form you would be on the floor in 5 minutes.
🤷♀️
Dailey drinkers should be below $30…anything more is just too much.
