I've been into bourbon / whiskey for about a year now and as an electrician I meet all kinds of different people. And one thing I have noticed when you see whiskey bottles sitting on people's shelves whether they are shy or outgoing that is something you can Bond over, it really is like its own little community. I have gone to jobs where on day one the customer barely says a word then you ask them about a certain bottle and by day 3 they have pulled out 8 bottles that they think you have to try and you are having our long conversations with people I have been given some cool bottles as gifts, it really is a wonderful Community to be a part of. 😊😊
Bought me a FYOB at Michters, the new Peerless, the single barrel OF rye, and Justin's House of Bourbon sold me a Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength they had in the back. Great day! And great to speak with you.
You may have missed out at Michters. The weekend we went, they only have the fill your own bottle at open. When we went back at 11 to check in for the fill your own bottle event, they brought out a cart with Bombergers and Shenks on it. I guess they will do random drops through out the days as well.
I agree 100%. It’s more than just drinking. I for one, love the hunt more than drinking. Specially when you come across a great find and you share where it is with your inner circle.
Man, don’t feel too bad, I’ve been to Michter’s 5 times and never got anything. I was surprised you didn’t go to Peerless. It’s just another block or two up from Michter’s
At 5:17 you filmed my parked silver Ford Transit cargo van. This is excellent. I will use a screen shot to argue with parking meter law enforcement. They issued me a $30 expired meter ticket but the vehicles had me blocked and I had no room to move my van! I had no visual evidence of my situation until now! Thanks TJ
My buddy went there in May. I asked him to check at Michter’s for some rare bottles. They didn’t have anything at that time. Two weeks ago he was coming home from Tennessee and decided to stop back by Michter’s and scored me a Shenk’s and Bombergers.
I was in Louisville last week and got a bottle of that WT 101 Private Selection the Chicago guy had. You should've gone on down to Peerless. They have two nice single barrels that are distillery only.
Peerless is down from michters and old charter down from Justin HOB and PAPPY and Co.. also should try the speakeasy behind old forester, def check out frazier museum for history of bourbon.
Gotta love bourbon hunting in Kentucky even if you not getting anything. It’s fun meeting all the new people along the way. I’m glad I was able to pick up the 2020 William Heavenhill and share it with a few friends. Cheers
Was down there a few months ago. Visited Old Forrester, Michters, and Evan Williams. Tours were all great, but nothing in the gift shops. Did grab the Evan Williams 12 after the tour.
We just got back from Louisville!! Did some of the Bourbon trail and had so much fun!!! Love old Foresters tour!!! It was so much fun!!! Picked up several finds that we cannot find in Alabama!
Just in my first out-of-state hunt in South Carolina Myrtle Beach . Picked up a. BARDSTOWNBOURBON COMPANY DISCOVERY SERIES, Knob Creek 12 year and Benchmark top floor just because it was $16. stuff I haven’t found in Virginia.
Hey! So I could be wrong like absolutely wrong but when I went to old forester several months ago I was told to get the 117 you had to take a tour and it was behind the cashier box. Not something they have on the shelf. You get the option to buy two bottles with your ticket
When I went down to BT in April, a couple of guys from Texas were there gleaming about J. Mattingly and super excited to do the tour. I've really not heard much about them, and then I heard you say you didn't know much about them either. They're super close to BT in Frankfort, might check it out next time I go.
Balvenie Doublewood and Carribean Cask - i know its a bit "in another direction" than your usual pick. But please do try them, might be the bottles that gets you into scottish and irish whiskys ;) Br, Alex
Ever been to ole st nick? We went there and they had some good stuff but they are a little too proud of them. I really enjoyed heaven hill. So many good ones under that roof.
If you make it to Oklahoma on your 2024 road trip, I'd be interested to see content from WanderFolk Spirits in Guthrie. Considering booking a tasting and tour there myself. I recently learned about them and got a bottle of their Same Old Moses, and I'm enjoying it a lot.
Wow, Justin’s house of bourbon used to have way more crazy unicorn bottles just a couple years ago. Must still be recovering from the raid or something
I am not a drinker but in 'Nam, we AF guys had a booze ration card for four bottles a month. A hootch mate always drank I.W. Harper, hr called "Ignorant Willy" and I would buy him some bottles when he ran out. They would punch your ration card. I remember pay 4.25 a bottle. I guess it was a good price but I would not know since I rarely drink. Remembered that after seeing your video.
I love the content man thanks for the interest videos I’ve been diving deep into my stores to get some rare bottles my favorite has been a Elijah Craig’s single barrel there toasted an knob 12 those have been my favorites im looking for a good rye I haven’t ever had a rye whiskey I’m still new to whiskey as it is
When did Justin’s open back up to sell? I thought they were still shut down from the raid? I heard they got their bottles back, but thought they were still shut down on selling.
I hit Whiskey Row last month and all I got was tired feet and one bottle at the new Bardstown Bourbon Company joint. That was cool, but Old Forester had NOTHING on the shelves. I bought a glass there so it wasn't a total waste of a good walk. I got an ECBP at the Evan Williams Experience, but I wanted a EW Red Label. They had plenty under the cash register, BUT it was $150 and you could only buy it after taking the tour ($20). Didn't have the time and it wasn't worth paying $170 for a tour I've already done. Whiskey Row is a disappointment.
Last summer I did a two day cruise of Kentucky hitting several major distilleries and I was so unlucky! I did not see anything that I couldn't get on any shelf in any liquor store in the nation. Buffalo trace-only Buffalo trace. Of - not even 1920! 100 /86-Nothing special at all. All the others, regular shelf items. Very disappointing.
i've been into whiskey since 0013AD. i had Old Forester 0047Jesus Blend and it was amazing. You will never be able to find it. - whiskey "snobs" are so stupid. it's alcohol stored in a wood barrel, jeez.

100%!
I'm from Chicagoland and as soon as I heard him say "you should see the back of my car", I knew he was from Chicago. :)
😂
Chicagoland area checking in
I have the worst Chicago accent known to man. People think I’m from Minnesota 😂 but nah, Chicago born and raised
Bought me a FYOB at Michters, the new Peerless, the single barrel OF rye, and Justin's House of Bourbon sold me a Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength they had in the back. Great day! And great to speak with you.
“…a bad idea very well executed.” 😂
Sounds like a fantastic tattoo

I agree 100%. It’s more than just drinking. I for one, love the hunt more than drinking. Specially when you come across a great find and you share where it is with your inner circle.
its like a card game for drinkers lol

Missed out skipping Buzzard’s Roost. That’s a must do in Louisville.
I appreciate all you guys coming to Louisville and spending money.
just the best banter / education while hunting! love it

That Evan Williams masters blend is🔥

I absolutely love Kentucky folks. My family is from there but I was not raised there.
Cool part about living in Louisville is all the peeps coming to visit!
That guy's accent is so Chicago it's unreal haha

Did you go to Peerless which was right down the street? They have some great single barrels at times.
We did in another one of the recent hunt videos.
"A bad idea, well executed..." Classic. Need to put that quote on a T-shirt @Brewzle. All the best from San Antonio, TX!
I was just there today! Only got to get me a michters American whiskey bottle. Went to Buffalo trace yesterday and got weller bt and travellers
We just got back from Louisville!! Did some of the Bourbon trail and had so much fun!!! Love old Foresters tour!!! It was so much fun!!! Picked up several finds that we cannot find in Alabama!

I must have just missed you! I was visiting Old Forester and Rabbit Hole the last week of June.
Was down at buffalo trace last Wednesday and thursday, scored some wellers, eagle rare, blantons. then went down to castle and key, great 3 day trip.
They had all of those out? I was there in May and they only kept one of each out on a 90 day rotation
Hey! So I could be wrong like absolutely wrong but when I went to old forester several months ago I was told to get the 117 you had to take a tour and it was behind the cashier box. Not something they have on the shelf. You get the option to buy two bottles with your ticket
Social hobby, but all those at the front of the line were there to flip.
That truffle place is great and he is very helpful. Highly recommended.
The yellow c-8 was so good looking
You guys have to try High Mark Distillery in Reno Nevada ! My group loved it and it was great.
That Evan Williams master's blend is my favorite thing I've had at 90 proof
Buzzard's Roost has some of the best bourbon on Whiskey Row.
Was there last weekend or so and had a great time in Louisville went to Kentucky for our green river store pick which was on a Thursday so fun
When I went down to BT in April, a couple of guys from Texas were there gleaming about J. Mattingly and super excited to do the tour. I've really not heard much about them, and then I heard you say you didn't know much about them either. They're super close to BT in Frankfort, might check it out next time I go.
If you’re still in Louisville try ace liquor off Terry and cane run road. Connected to gas station. Get in and out quick though!
OF Single barrel Rye is the best thing they make. Well maybe there are some special releases that are better. I haven't had any of them.
Just bought some Green River - it is very good.
Picked up that EW Master's Blend when I was there. It's pretty tasty, just wish it was higher proof.
Balvenie Doublewood and Carribean Cask - i know its a bit "in another direction" than your usual pick. But please do try them, might be the bottles that gets you into scottish and irish whiskys ;)
Br,
Alex
Literally just got back from kentucky last night and this is reminding me that I should have stopped by whiskey row to replenish my.Square six wheated
Ever been to ole st nick? We went there and they had some good stuff but they are a little too proud of them.

Rabbit hole is down there too and its not bad.
Best part of the day!
@brewzle where did you get that 16 years old single barrel barrel strength 4 roses? Amazing score!!!
Awesome picks right across the street at Merle's
Great to see more and more people recognising you. Love the videos, man, and I don’t even like whiskey. Yet.
I am not a drinker but in 'Nam, we AF guys had a booze ration card for four bottles a month. A hootch mate always drank I.W. Should have grabbed that masters blend Even Williams, it's quite good!!
I got a President's Choice last September.
Love walking in Louisville, so much stuff on that strip 🥃
Ugh I was just in Louisville last week. I wish I would have seen this video before I went I would have went to some of these places.
Should have hit the Bourbon Museum. They sell select bourbons.
Found your channel recently.. Awesome videos!
Ascension …..wish you talked more of notes on it…..I’m curious as I know where to find a couple
Very true, the hunt and meeting good people.
With the Evan Williams experience, if you do a tour you are eligible for the Evan 12 year
lol planned on watching a couple minutes and then all of the sudden you were signing off. New subscriber here!
Hey Jake ! (Your Tour Guide)
I was down there last weekend for 4 days and was hoping to bump into you lol
Just missed ya! Was there today!
Man come to Charlotte!!!
what's in Charlotte? My sister lives there now and I need to visit her!
@@gosman949 there are plenty of good place here. Frugal McDugals has the best store pics
no Peerless?
Great pour Mon..
You didn’t hit Kentucky Peerless? You guys were right there!
Go back and get the EW Master's blend. Very good!
Great video! What’s you take on the Disco 11 series? Does it taste like the Wild Turkey 12?
My Jefferson’s Ocean must be a good batch!
Well sucks this is probably to late, but I know where plenty of some WR double oaked store pics are for a good price.
Evan Williams experience tour helps get the better selection.
J t maddingly Is directly across from Buffalo Trace. We found them by accident.
big fan from ohio lovin the videos!
When did Justin’s open back up to sell? I thought they were still shut down from the raid? I heard they got their bottles back, but thought they were still shut down on selling.
I really hope you crossed the river and hunted southern Indiana.
Next week
I just managed a jack 12 for $117 before taxes, I had to ask twice if that was the price 😂
Why didn’t you go to Peerless and grab their Toasted?
Great video!
All about the HUNT!
Someone says "you should see the back of my car right now.." and you're not Brewzle.. RUN!
Love the bourbon hunting videos but could we get some new content on the brewzel mixed page
Huzzah!
That Chicago accent was NUTS!
I think old Carter is next door. But I think they are members only
Damn good day!
Evan Williams red label 12 year is worth the price but looks like it was “out of stock”
You have to take the tour to get the 12 year.
the pomegranate limo!
Questioning, not questionable.
Peerless is right by Michters should of stopped by there
It never fails - the closer you get to Louisville, the worse the bourbon selection...
I hit Whiskey Row last month and all I got was tired feet and one bottle at the new Bardstown Bourbon Company joint. That was cool, but Old Forester had NOTHING on the shelves. I bought a glass there so it wasn't a total waste of a good walk.

I got to go Louisville
What kind of of camera setup do you use for these hunting videos?
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and their mics
