Btw, man... those cursed proportions on the tumbnail, gripen is THE smallest delta, and the mirage 4000 is THE biggest delta, yet you made it look like the gripen is bigger.

That dogfight Gripen vs Mirage was the most beautiful I've ever seen in Warthunder.
Watch as the Mirage and the gripen gets nerfed into the ground once major nation mains gets erased by these.

I've been to the air show this year and saw the Czech Gripen for the first time live. It was wild one of the best solo performances that day.
We have 14 of them in Czech Republic but we use them to limits :D

@@civos23 It's a shame you're replacing them, you fly them way more daringly than swedish pilots on airshows.
With the gripen you need to use air break a lot more, as it one helps slow you down and force the over shoot, which the gripen demands no mater what, but it also helps stabilize the gripen, helping keep it In Check and stop it doing some of those maneuvers you don’t want it to do, so if you ever feel like the gripen is about to slip out from you, pop air break and it helps stabilizes it.

The mirage canards don't move but they increase lift and reduce drag of the main wing at low speed and high AoA, the mirage 2000 also have small canards, but they're here for inducing instability.
The gripen canards does both of these roles, but it's also an additional control surface that gives a lot of pitch authority, ingame the instructor can recover the gripen no matter how hard you try to stall it because of how much nose authority the plane has.
M4K canards should not be fixe like they are now, reported to Gaijin.
They can't move like the Gripen canards neither, but they could be either fixed, or follow the air flow from what i've understand.
Mirage 4000s canards are linked to some mechanism we're still trying to figure out what exactly. It's not the FBW but you might be able to set them to angles for low speed approaches like flaps
The mirage 4000 Canards should actually function as a Takeoff/landing and combat flaps. aswell as have a mode where it would just position itself so it floats with the air

i have heard of it but it was a single line of text specifying that it was "movable", but never seen them move in all the show demos i've seen, and i've ever seen one photo of them where they look like they're not in line with the aircraft so i consider them fixed until i can be proven wrong, like a lot of things on this plane, it's quite the rabbithole
@@nicolaspeigne1429we have not only the manual which shows off the canard servos, but also several photos where you can clearly see the canard angled upward
It was impressive just how much thrust the Mirage 4000 had with the twin engines. It was monstering the Gripen in climb and raw turn..

I wanted a Mirage IV dual engine for a long time. It was a high speed bomber that could still be useful to CAS. But this is even better! Dog fighting beast with enough thrust to power through the drag!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Mirage IV was only used for nuclear bombing also it was replaced later by the Mirage 2000N.
@_LeFish_ it was mostly for that. However it carried a metric ton of other ordinance. Look up it's payload

I am definitely excited for these aircraft and trying out there different play styles but the SU-27 will probably will be the best because of its BVR capabilities and could just hang back and missile sling, but the gripen will definitely be the most fun and the frontline aggressor. (Also the M4K can carry 8 magic 2s which will definitely be fun.)
It looks like M4K has a better thrust to weight, giving it the low speed rate over practically everything, but the gripen has that way pf moving unconventionally or pulling crazy aoa for just a couple seconds that can give it an edge if used absolutely perfectly which sounds unreasonable but im sure some people will master it quite quickly
You forget the Magic 2 missiles spam as it should be able to carry 14 of them

I really cant wait to see how this performs in sim. If played right the gripen could just about sneak up and out perform almost any plane in a dogfight. The mirage is a pretty massive plane with great ability but could also do a lot of work. I want to see the canards in action so badddd

the Mirage 4000 is really nuts its such fun to fly and it handles so well i think it will be a popular plane for close range fights just because of the command you have in the fight not just the ability to turn well but also the speed and how fast you can recover it to get out of a fight if you need too where as i feel the Gripen wile really cool as well does not have that command of speed that it can just let loose when it needs over the other planes it will face (but at least its wings dont fall off randomly like the f-15)

Mirage 4000 is not as bulky as it seems. It's turning extremely well. You can even perform amazing maneuvers with the Flight Joystick.
Gawd damn, that last moment high AoA gun snapshot was a thing of beauty.

I request a video on the He 100! It's stupidly fast for 1.7, can hold 550+ km/h at deck no problem, excellent climber, only downside is it's engine likes to burn so keep an eye on the temp. Not too OP, and super fun! Bring it to a higher br for a challenge if you want

I said the same thing. Why don't we have a duel mode yet, with either 1V1 or 2V2 match ups, that gives proper rewards. Hell, I'd love to see gun only versions too, but maybe that would split the player base too much.
The only reason i still play this game is to do things like dogfighting in custom games, but it sticks that you get no reward and can't research anything doing it. Gaijin really fall flat when it comes to game modes.
I will say that the mirage 2000 can hold its own in a dogfight against an f16, but its outclassed by the gripen. The 4000 has more thrust and can just pull harder than the 2000. This puts it on par or slightly better than the gripen

Pure engine thrust, both are designed very alike but the Gripen bleeds lots more speed thanks to its below 1 thrust to weight and the canards, the mirage 4k turns well thanks to its delta wing and non movable canards that introduce instability (i think they're non movable irl too) but keeps its speed up because of its above 1 thrust to weight ratio
When it comes too the Swedes. I like how they went to that before the F/A-18. Gripen was still being developed while the F/A 18 was already in service plus seeing action over Libya in 1986.
The Mirage 4000 seems too good to be true, I bet it gets changed before live release.
i hope when the amraam comes that sweden gets the viggen with amraams not sure if the gripen used amraams couse i only heared about that the viggen uses meteores for beyond visual
Iirc, the Saab 39 can use all the weapons the 37 could, and most NATO standard munitions too.

the worse missiles the Rafale could get is magic 2 and MICA EM, so we will have to wait at least the arrival of Fox 3 missiles in the game

Rafale and Typhoon will be best aircraft in the game unless Gaijin introduced 5th Gen jets.
F18 carries a lot of missiles and is a pretty good platform overall@@Mmjk_12
