I wouldn’t be able to control my screams as good if it wasn’t for your videos! 🤘🖤

Thanks to you I got my Phil Anselmo type of low scream. Time to learn the high ones! Your videos are by far most useful on the whole wide web. I tried for years, but only when I downloaded your free program and really started to practice what you preach, I succeed. Thank you Chris!
Also, Vocal Menace is brutal, now I finally have motivation to record. 🖤

There is this uncanny situation that has happened time, and time time again, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this, but... You literally always post the exact video that I needed at the exact right time! Bravo!

@user-ev9gy1ni6u absolutely! I mean I watch Chris a lot too though so he's always there in my feed. You're are right tho for sure. I was saying more so the specific topic that he covered here was exactly what I was struggling a tad with my own music. Unfortunately I stopped yt. I mainly only upload on BandLab and insta now a days. Wasn't too kean on how YT decided to show my content. What they wanna promote they will everything else would be swept under the rug.

Man being able to consciously over-exaggerate such a principle has opened a new unique tone for vocals that i didnt really know how to find the "your voice" that makes you one of a kind yet again another little peice of gold in the sea of videos thank you again Chris Liepe

It's super helpful actually this is awesome and it's free like holy crap, even showing us hot to avoid the pitfalls and the walls that young singers run into; Mhmhm me.

Thanks a lot, Chris! I didn't realise that Chester Bennington's constant altering in voice not only sounded amazing, but also helped him sound even more amazing!
    Respect and thanks, as always!!

I've learned a LOT thought your videos and I'm now 2 months in vocal classes and I've improved tremendously with my voice in a short period of time, so first of all thanks for all this free material, it's priceless, second of all i will love to see you checking out Victor Borba, he also did a cover of Spiritbox. Love from a Romanian guy living in Italy

I absolutely adore this video. I took the principles away when working on a new song, and got the best take I’ve ever had on a section of vocals. It took what normally sounds flat and brought so much life to it.
    🙏 thank you Chris!!!

Sir I want to thank you SO MUCH for your lessons, I’ve seen huge improvement in my base voice in just a few lessons.
As a 40yr old loooong time singer, I feel more free and easy when singing then I ever have before!

Your videos have inspired me to explore new ways to use my voice and I can’t remember when practicing singing has been as fun as it is now! 🤩I started to listen to metal some time ago and I began wondering how the vocalists produce their harsh sound. I have classical training and I do love classical singing but I feel that I have found the enthusiasm for singing (and music!) again which have been lost for several years. (I think my neighbors preferred me singing Handel in the shower over my recent attempts at growling and screaming etc…🤭)

Whoa this is cool Chris. Sometimes I think I have to just focus on resonance or compression, but thanks for reassuring that it's good to be free and varied. I'd love to see you cover Justin Pierre's voice from Motion City Soundtrack. He is wonderful at doing this balance.

Thank you Chris what a great lesson! I needed this one. I wrecked my vocal chords as an angsty emo teen and now have to deal with my voice tiring out quicker than it usually should most of the time. Never thought about it like just another muscle you're working out before but it makes total sense. Just like all your other lessons I'll take it to heart, add it to the repertoire and be a much better vocalist for it. Thanks again man you offer so much value in your free videos it's actually bonkers.

I haven't ever heard you do lows like you did in the intro! Holy lord that sounded great. Did you sing it a key or two lower than normal? It seemed lower but maybe it's just the different voice making it sound different.

You can learn great breath control by watching a lot of compilations of evil laughs by watching cartoon characters. And this helps you discover vibrato faster. Let alone control it. Try the joker's laugh. Brings out more character in your voice.😊

can't get into the scream of it, but get the high pitch of it.. why the scream is not coming out and I get stuck in the high pitch that you do just before you tilt over to the scream?? I am confused to where the air should go in the throat and mouth now? is this same as the characters Yosemite Sam mixed with Pluto? or how to understand it? thanks from Sweden!

And I always wondered how Son Jin Wook can sing two concerts in one day (almost 30 songs) and still be able to pull out his insane high notes at the end. This explains a lot :D He uses so many singing styles which I love... but didn't think it also has such effect. I also noticed that he drinks a lot of water during his performances, often even in the middle of a song, I guess it's also an important thing.
