Can you imagine if Heath Ledger had said "cut, the explosions didnt go off" or another response like that? Millions of dollars would be wasted

And then he started hitting the trigger trying to fix it, at which point the director set the explosions off as they shoulda been initially. Apparently Ledger wasn't aware of that improv
What about in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers where Aragorn kicks a helmet and screams in the sky? Or in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl where Will tries describing Jack's awkwardness to Gibbs?
Grr. It wasn't George Lucas it was Irvin Kershner and Harrison Ford. The way Kershner tells it he told Harrison to improvise after many takes that didn't work. The way Ford tells it, he decided on his own to change the line to "I know" as that felt more inline with his character. You be the judge.
