The thing with Karl Urban is he is a very handsome guy, but he is able to be the hard-faced intimidating type, best shown in his backlog of Bad Guy characters. I am not actually a huge movie watcher, but I really respect Urban's career.

I've been talking up Karl Urban for years. He can do anything. LOTR, Star Trek, Bourne Supremacy, Red, Dredd, the list goes on. I laughed my ass off when I saw him in Star Trek, playing Doctor McCoy, when he first meets Kirk. He channeled DeForest Kelly, which I didn't expect at all. Just NAILED the role by providing the familiarity of the original and adding his own approach.
Karl Urban is right, the marketing for that movie was beyond terrible. Hubby and I saw it randomly after finding out it was playing and not even realizing it had been out for a while. I've bought it at least three or four times, on dvd then bluray and a few as gifts. One of the best comic book movies ever.

Star Trek was good but I wasn't hooked at that point. I just found out about Urban's Dredd right now. Almost Human was the first time I really became a fan of him as an actor, and the way that show died was very regrettable. It had so much potential and a lot of the episodes were great on their own.

2. Your name value (though budget dependent)
3. Being a yes man and not to close to the source, don't want someone who will disagree with them and cause issue with their direction.
The thing with Karl Urban is he is a very handsome guy, but he is able to be the hard-faced intimidating type, best shown in his backlog of Bad Guy characters.
Personally, I watch Hercules and Xena in my teen years, so I recognised Karl in LotR, and then the next significant movie I saw him in was Star Trek. My mother is a fan of the Bourne series.
I am not actually a huge movie watcher, but I really respect Urban's career.
I think we will be getting that Dredd 2 movie any day now
I love me some Karl Urban.
Red was amazing as a showcase for his talents.
Love Karl Urban. He was everywhere for the last 30 years in all the genres I like. From great movies to straight to video to TV. I respected that he jumped mediums and he was always good in whatever he did. Love the Boys. Loved Dredd. Hated the cancelling of Almost Human. Love you Karl. Big Fan.
Dredd need to get a second flick. He was epic.
100% I think people are starting to realise that after the fact. Such a great film and Urban was perfect 👌🏾
He did Bones perfect!! Cranky as always!!
i cannot believe he nearly gave up, one of my alltime favs
Even most of Urban's box-office failures are worthwhile for geeks. Ghost Ship. Riddick, Priest, Dredd, and Doom were all fun movies.
Dredd was AWESOME - cant believe it didnt do well.
Karl Urban is right, the marketing for that movie was beyond terrible. Hubby and I saw it randomly after finding out it was playing and not even realizing it had been out for a while. I've bought it at least three or four times, on dvd then bluray and a few as gifts. One of the best comic book movies ever.
@@charlie81dbz Same, I think it'd shown for at least a week before I heard of it, and that was back when I was regularly watching films at the cinema.
Priest has 2 of my favorite low key/under the radar actors; Paul Bettany and Karl Urban. I have liked Paul Bettany since I saw him in "Knight's Tale".
Karl Urban is well praised in my house. Didn't think much of the blonde hair because it's the first time we saw him but his portrayal of Eomer is so charismatic.
very good material. You told facts and know much about carl. You are not just clickbajter like others.
He should be a major star!
He will get there
I hope we'll see more of him !!
Star Trek was good but I wasn't hooked at that point. I just found out about Urban's Dredd right now. Almost Human was the first time I really became a fan of him as an actor, and the way that show died was very regrettable. It had so much potential and a lot of the episodes were great on their own.
Well-done. Well-written narrative. Great work.
Karl Urban has been part of my childhood since LoTR. His Dreed is underrated to this day. I stayed for the whole 28 mins and 40 secs man. good video.
Who is dreed?
I remember him as Caesar! I forgot/didn’t recognize he was Cupid!
He was doing an interview at home for the boys tv series and the enthusiasism he had when showing the stuff he got from filming was of epic geek proportions!! He genuinely love talking about the things!!
