Your both very lucky. I wish I could with either my son or Dad. My youngest son Jacob that was 14 and into cars passed away March 28 2021. Lost my dad Xmas 2012
Very lucky, I lost my dad just as we where going to start my project and it's still sitting in the shed , Will start it one day with my son , Hopefully , please take the time to tell your love ones that you do love them, all the best to everyone and have a very happy Christmas
I love that truck. It makes me feel quite emotional to see you bring it back to life. Must feel awesome to drive it and see people stare at it . Hope you can find a door for it . The poor thing has waited all those years to be found by you. Well done 👍
On other channels I have seen better pick ups being cut up for parts and old iron. I am so glad to see you rescued this pick up in a way I love it: technical repairs and leaving the patina where possible. The way you repaired the frontgrill looked like magic.
You and your dad have brought a old American truck back from the graveyard. What you have done is awesome! I love the way it looks like a great old work truck.
That is so absolutely bad ass. I don't know if I've ever seen someone take a vehicle that far gone and bring it back while staying as true to the original as you guys have. I love it!! Great job! Can't wait for the next video!
Namaste I am from india 🇮🇳 I came across your channel by accident..... You will not believe me it's for the first time i watched a goddam 1 Hr video on a single sit.... Long informative video of long lost restoration will be the key 🔑 for you channel Good luck my brother
Enjoy watching you and your dad coming up with ideas to make the old truck run. I have seen a few old trucks running on the road, makes me think about starting a project with my son.
Owatrol Oil also is great for conserving patina with something clear. It's a sort of penetrating oil, based on linseed oil, that will harden and form a very good layer of protection. It can also be used to bring back faded plastic, shine tires and prime wood for paint. amazing stuff really
as a kid i rode around in a 1968 International Scout plow vehicle with my grandpa and 3 brothers...International is close to my heart and to see u bring one back to life is just so touching to me
I love this series on how you made this old IH drivable. When I saw the beginning of the first video, I thought this is a lost cause., It is incredible how you took a junk vehicle and gave it a new life for very little money. Thank you and I am looking forward to more on this vehicle and others you will be doing.
WOW! I just saw you for the first time. Love to watch you two working together. My Dad passed away five years ago. I still miss him every day. I appreciate that you don't use filthy language. I can watch you with my Grandchildren. I am restoring my Daughter's 87 Mustang coupe. so far I have 438 hours most professionals say on a project like this takes 1000 hours plus. So far I have 348; long way to go. God bless you.
Looks like a three-dimensional restoration of a work of art. What you guys do is real art. and like all the other artists, you suffer in the process. Thank you for doing this.
THIS IS ******* AWESOME, THAT EXHAUST IS “HOT” THE BEST PART OF THE TRUCK IS THAT IS NOT A CHEVROLET, FORD OR DODGE. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MORE ON IT. I did not want it for this video to be over. And what a better team than dad/son.
New subscriber and I just wanted to tell you to enjoy every minute you can with your Dad. Both my parents passed last year, and the best times I remember with my Dad were when we were doing some DIY project together even if it wasn't going according to plan. This video brought back some of those great memories. Thank you.
I have enjoyed this group of videos on the International truck! Had me wishing a new Vlog would come out sooner. This one is the best I've seen in a while. Please keep it up! I did want to see more, on the Chrysler Imperial & the 40's Packard you did some time ago, a refresh on these would be a treat. Thank you, Keep up the great work.
Sweet! I am thinking Tom Sawyer, cuz I would pay good money to be allowed to put some coats of that clear onto that truck! I liked your line that 'it's how the truck's supposed to look'. The fact that you could pull out that grill and work the dents out of those fenders, an amazing transformation of what could've been a forgotten lost cause destined for scrap. Now it's a real jewel, so far, with a bright long future ahead! Thanks for posting these videos!
Hello, the truck is looking excellent. When seeing the work shared with your dad, I can assure you that. Those moments will both carry him inside you forever My greetings from Argentina My greetings from Argentina
Love this job you guys are doing, Nice to see people fix somthing up but not show off by investing tuns of money into it , showing off. refreshing to see a restoration being creative and using what you got.
I literally just stumbled upon your channel today and binge watched all of the videos related to this 1946 international. I was sooo invested in the makeover and transformation. I cant tell you how much I'm anticipating the final video. You gained a subscriber today. Btw, did you guys ever find a door? It would make it look so much better, even if you had to slightly reshape a different year model's door.
Damned if that old IH truck, with the new stack & tractor clacker, the whole package, ain't just the most beautiful thing ever seen! And that engine rumble coming through the straight pipe? A dream! Beautiful, fellas!
great videos. keep making this truck better and better. it's a piece of art. I love that these videos are long because this truck is beautiful. love old internationals, can we see maybe a scout next?
You guys are doing a great job. I am enjoying the old truck as a boy in the early 60s my dad drove a old ford. Rode with him a mean day bouncing down the country roads thanks again from my hill top in Sc
I love every moment of transformation with this truck. Truly makes me wish I had the time and resources to make this a hobby of my own. Can't wait til the next video. Keep up the great work guys!!
oh man, watching that front window crank open while remembering how dirty/broken it looked when you first pulled it out of the mud is an amazing sight, you should do a video of "how we found it, how is it now"
Brings back great memories… my first truck was a 53 International L110… still the best truck I’ve ever had…. Hopefully floating around Lake Tahoe area somewhere. Thanks for your time and talents!
Ingenious fellas👏👏👏. Love the touch with the tractor fllap on the exhaust. Pretty darn cool old truck guys. Well done. We're all hoping someone donates a door to help finish up that project. Blessings from New Zealand 🇳🇿
When i saw for the first time this truck so deep baried in the ground with all that rust, missing components, defacto missing wireing, seized engine, brakes etc etc..,my first thought that came to mind was-this is impossible let alone on a budget...but your skills, motivation and knowledge prooved me wrong and the end result is epic, it is a joy watching you wrenching on this machine!
My son and I have a 77 F150 4X4 that we have been bringing back to life. It is straight but covered in surface rust. We going to do exactly like you done that one. Thanks for the idea.
I'm loving this. Years ago, I had a '46 International pickup with no motor and trans, that my plan was going to put the cab and bed on a S-10 or Ranger frame and drivetrain. I got stationed overseas and I left it parked at a relatives house. While I was overseas, he went on a vacation and when he came back my International and his '40 Chevy project had been stolen. They never did figure out who got them.
Time well spent with you're dad. The truck is looking awesome. Thank you for sharing your video with us. Great clean contact is appreciated. God bless from west Texas.
Love watching this progress guys. Beautiful truck. Curios about how much its cost to get it this far. Keep up the great work. Watching all the way from sunny Cyprus.
I agree with Scott Simmons. I started working on old vehicles with my dad. He passed in 86 while I was still in the military. I’ve been working on old rides for years and I think of him often.
Man you guys are amazing, I wish to be around you guys to see with my own eyes the progress of your outstanding project, most kind of you guys for sharing it with us, from the endless summer paradise Puerto Rico, Jesús Torres.
Great job, it is amazing what you an your dad have done with that truck! You have some innovative ideas that work very well. I hope you can find a door!
When you look that picture off this truck stuck on that greveyard and you see it now running it says everything. Amazing work guys. Greatings from Argentina!
When I was a kid our next door neighbor owned the Rambler and International dealership. Their tow truck lived across the street. He drove one of these trucks. I have always liked them.
Hi! I just found this video tonight and watched the whole thing!! What I love about it is there is no profanity spouted out by you or your dad! Thank you for that! Hey, I have a 1970 International Scout 800A series. I've worked on her some then sold her to a friend with stipulation that I could buy her back. 8 years later, a year ago, I bought her back! Thank God for good friends! He did a little work on her, moved the gas tank from side to under the bed because he took my 33" tires off and put 35s on her. I don't like where it is now bc you have to open up the back to gas her up. So trying to figure out a better location for that. But engine wise, Sassy has a slanted 4. Always ran good when I had her. She smokes a little, wasn't built for speed but would climb anything and pull anything. Still has the old drum brakes that I'd like to do away with and get an axel with disc brakes. And I discovered she has a cracked motor mount. If you have any suggestions on what I could do or that would be cool, please let me know. I am on a budget so doing work ourselves is not a problem. I love the clear coat job and had already decided to do that on her. Enjoyed your video! Thanks
Nice! The next time you use teflon tape to make a seal, you need to install the tape counterclockwise on the fitting. Installing it as you did on the water temperature sending unit can cause the tape to ball up and leak! ✌🤠🇺🇸 39:13
Thank you for not redoing the body and giving it a full paint job! You are absolutely right that this truck should show its age and wear its unique charms proudly. Great job to you and your dad on some awesome work.
Great video I love watching people working on these old vehicles I love limousines I wish I could have seen some videos of you working on the limo like you did with this truck
Long time old car enthuiast, enjoy watching you guys, passed through Tucson last March coming up from Mexico, use to live in Kingman a long time ago, remember all antique car desert finds riding are dirt bikes, keep up the good work!!
I know some people will just like clean it off and that's it but I actually appreciate actually fixing it even if you're not restoring it to its full Glory
I'm happy that I am not alone in my affection for IH! I had a mid 70s Scout II, the one where the entire body falls off in a cloud of rust at 35,000 miles but the engine and drive train last forever.
Dude I love the way you try to save the original parts instead of just throwing loads of plastic crap at them ,it’s testament to the original manufacturing processes from a time when stuff was built to last 👍🏻🏴👍🏻
You’re lucky to have your dad working on this with you.

Y remember this kind of. Trucks internacional harvester the famous Brand. Even now you can find one. From Uruguay. Keep on truking
When his dad started to talk about giving the truck a second chance in life and make it enjoyable again I started to tear up.
You almost answered your own question, chevy door might would just be interchangeable
You are blessed to be able to do this with your dad. Enjoy every moment!

I much prefer a nice coat of paint on an old classic truck like this. Personally, I don't at all like this patina stuff at all, looks junky.
Great seeing a father and son doing a project. Great job.
