Hopefully we can get an update on this car once they finish the work on it. Would be nice to see Mitch clean it up when it's restored.
Yes we definitely need to see the carry on story with this incredible Scooby.
I would love to see a part 2 where they let you know if they fix the car or not and how it runs! And if they fixed it, maybe let you take it for a drive?😊
Well, I think its A No Brainier "We All Want to see za part DreaU2X on this Liltle Gem * Keep in contact with the Dudes that bought her! Fun Video 😮 Car needed your majik! ",Isn't that Satisfying," I just love the DeSmegging part!" Best Regaurds from us in Big D Texas, Mr B~

Gods yes
Got any tips on how to get acrylic paint out of faux leather seats? I’ve tired a ton of remedies
Hey Mitch. You definitely need to wear a respirator when cleaning a car that had or has mice in it. My brother is a paramedic and said it can be deadly for your lungs to breathe in the toxic air due to mice. Be careful and we love you. This detail was a blast to watch. Amazing before and afters 😍
There is a dust that is created from their feces. I knew a fella who camped in a wooden half-shelter over a weekend, and died many months later from inhaling the toxic dust. From what I was told, it was a horrible way to go.
Not sure I could make an educated guess as I drive a 2007 Mazda CX7 with just over 50k miles, in fact I drive it so little that the warranty on the tires expired with under 10k miles, but they are cracking up from the sun. But what the hay I’ll guess 67k. 😊
Hanta virus from mice. It can kill you. Almost killed me.
Mask spotted @23:14
Hanta virus killed a friend of ours, not even 40 years old. Glad you made it. ^^^
I don’t know if anyone is like me, but I watch Mikes videos in bed when I want to fall asleep. His videos are very calming and therapeutic that it puts me in snooze mode.
😂😂😂I'm not trying to fall asleep, I truly want to see the end result, but invariably I end up falling asleep 😂😂😂
yes his voice is very calming should be a news caster
It's the copyright-free music 😂😅
Same!
You’re not the only one this is a kid teenager
You are honestly a miracle worker. It doesn’t matter what vehicle it is, the care and pride you have as a detailer really shows!
ELBOW GREASE BUSTERS !
He's making a nice chunk of cash doing this....great motivator
What really impresses me about this video is not the car but the garage. That is one custom built garage; huge with a drain in the middle of the floor. Also, the variety of bundled products; everything a guy might need for every different aspect of cleaning and detailing. Good work, yo!👍🇺🇸
it’s a dope garage
My brother had one in the 80s, it was way ahead of anything on the road. Smooth, quite quick and a head turner too. I really liked going for drives with my brother, not to mention he was an ace driver and learned alot from him being in the car with him. This video brings back magical memories.❤
FOND SUBARU VERY K FU MEMORIES !
They were definitely a head turner, really neat cars.
Not only have I seen this car before but I used to own one. I had a 1987 XT Turbo in Red. The car was like a space ship on the inside. There were no dials at all, only buttons and switches. The height adjustment was a really cool feature. It would give you 4" in the front and 6" in the rear for clearance. The entire dash was all digital and the glow at night was impressive. It handled very well in the snow with the 4WD. I remember taking it when I went skiing. Never had an issue. Owned it for a couple of years until I bought a New 1989 Turbo Trans Am in Black. Now that was a car!
A friend had one in Australia. No way was it faster than a WRX though!
A guy at our church in ND had a red one as well!!
I had a friend growing up and his father bought one of these. I remember when these came out. It seemed like a way for Subaru to stand out in the crowd and bring attention to the brand. It was a crazy future like car for its time.
This is honestly my favourite video you have ever done. Not just because of the work involved but because you took something someone else deemed worthless and gave it life again. Incredible job!
I love you ❤️
I love taking old things( whatever they are) and restoring them back to close to original. A lot of people don’t know what they have or are just not able to restore things . 😊
One thing your videos show we lesser mortals is how a session with the vacuum can really make your car look better with minimal effort. The
What you do is truly amazing!
I absolutely LOVE vehicle restorations!! I’m super excited to see it if and when they get her done!! You truly do a labor of love the way you detail vehicles!! THANK YOU!!! 🥰❤️
This was no restoration. Cleaning only...
This is one special detail, I have never seen something like this on the channel ever before! Absolutely stellar! Have a great weekend everyone! 😊
Thanks, you too!
Hey Botdog, always good to see you. Hope you have a great weekend my buddy.
Botdog, Have a wonderful weekend!
Ayyyyee botdog! Have a great weekend!
Thank you friend, you too
Mitch, I cannot believe how beautiful that car turned out to be!! Wow, great job!
Such a worthy car for a full restoration. You just don’t see many of them out there anymore, and from what I’ve read about the XT, only 98,918 were ever produced in total for the worldwide market over its short, 6 year run - 1985 to 1991. It’d be a real shame not to have someone give that thing the love it deserves…
"only"
@@halophobic9550 … Over 6 years, less than 40,000 for the U.S. in the entire run. The remaining 58k were distributed in Australia, New Zealand, European countries France and GB and Japan.
This car 🚗 is worth it to restore.
I had a friend who had one of these back in the 90's and it lifted up and down. It was fun. Pretty cool-looking car! I think it's worth a restore too.
@@jujujustmeindeed
I'd love to see more of these "barn finds!" Even if the car is not perfect, it's awesome to see how much difference a thorough detail makes. Turn those Hoopties into gold! A follow up video would be cool if the customer does decide to restore the car.
The problem now is we’re running out of barns! Maybe a container or storage unit might have something w/o pine needles!
My nephew, who is a Subaru mechanic, has a 87 XT. He also has a 80 BRAT. And a couple other Subarus. All are in excellent shape. Nice cars.
If the owner of this rare gem decides to sell this car as a parts car, I will be upset. This car is in a surprisingly great shape than I expected after seeing it in the side yard for many years. This car can be restored if done right. A great job cleaning it up!
It would be a real shame if they decide to part it out
Very little serious rust that I can see
Around the wheels is the only place I’ve seen
And that’s not that bad
This car needs to be restored, it is so rare and an important little offshoot in car history.
It’s not yours so the fact your upset for something that hasn’t even happened yet tells me you have your priorities messed up
@@jlooks95 The fact that you think people cannot have an opinion on something they are passionate about despite them not owning the thing they have an opinion about, means you lack even the most basic social concepts. I wouldn’t worry about them, worry about yourself.
@@jlooks95why do u feel the need to antagonize someone for no reason. That says a lot about yourself to be fair
When you consider that this car is nearly 40 years old and has been abandoned for 20 of those, this is a remarkably well preserved. Great job getting this Scooby looking good again.
My supra just turned 40 this year, crazy to think about now.
Amazing! I used to own one of these... electropneumatic suspension, and pushbutton 4x on the fly! The 'hill-holder' was a treat to have with a manual transmission, too. Nice work, this really takes me back. Good luck getting it stuck in a snowbank, one winter I hydroplaned in slush off the hwy in the Pine Pass. Went 15' down a bank, steered straight the whole way down, and when we towed it straight back out I was able to drive it into town. No problem. Second all-time favourite to my Datsun 260z.
You had a Datto 260z aswell!
😍 great car!
Yep... but currently working on a 52 Fargo❤
I really hope someone is able to put the time and money into restoring this car, it would be a beast to drive, although I’d only drive it in summer lol. Great work Mitch❤
Oh wow! You have breathed some life back into the car. Please update us on what the owners did to restore it further. You definitely gave them a clean pallet to work from. Beautiful job Mitch!!!
Why is this one of the rarest to find?
Flashback! I owned an xt6 manual in black. That was the most fun winter and snow car I've driven. Had totally forgotten about the cockpit feeling interior. Thanks for this
The ones in black were beautiful.
Amazing! What I find awesome is that whether you are doing a premium luxury brand or a barn find you give as much love and attention to every detail, no matter what. That's what makes you stand above all others.
You sir have an amazing talent! I drove one of those cars in the early 90's. It wasn't a bad car to drive. The problem that I had with it was the fact that most people would stare at you while driving it. As a rare car collector, it is a car that I would most likely buy. The Subaru's of that time were very well known for rusting rather quickly. A lot of them didn't make it much past 10 years old due to rust and being very unsafe because of the rust. It's a cool car that I hope does get driven again.
Dead right on the rust. I think I would have thrown it on a lift first to see what I was up against. 20 years stuck in the open like that; probably going to be nasty surprises under there.
I watched this video from start to finish and for reasons I don't know why it was very relaxing to just sit and watch and very satisfying at the end.
I loved every single minute of this. At the beginning I honestly thought you'd just give it a cat's lick since it's such a shed. But I am absolutely blown away with the level of effort you went to for these two customers who *admittedly* wouldn't be sad about parting it out!
I'm off to binge some more of your videos as inspiration to clean my show car, which has been in the garage since the start of Covid19...
Glad you enjoyed it!
LOVED my XT's!!! Had an 86 4cyl 5-speed, and an 88 XT6. Both were an blast to drive. Was lucky enough to have also owned an SVX. Suby had some very futuristic (and amazingly ahead of their time) cars in the mid 80's to early 90's!
I also had an XT6. I loved that thing. It would hug a curve like it was on rails!!
Loved my SVX as well except for the really weak AT that is why I sold it went thru 2 AT
@@jimh9332 Same. Mine had both of the SVX flaws... transmission and power steering failures.
@@cajunrcfamily6188 Oh yeah! And the electronic pneumatic suspension was miles ahead of its time.
You have not just a job, you have a mission.
Mitch this was by far the BEST video!!! I LOVED it!!! I would love to see more like this! As someone who recently purchased a vintage, 1990 Buick Electra, Park Avenue, that I am currently restoring seeing more cars like that and your techniques to actually clean them using care not to damage any of the materials is very important to me! Naturally, I only use your products to clean my new Buick. I found it funny when you were vacuuming up the Pineneedles from around the trunk area. That’s the exact same thing I did just the other day to my Buick that I’m restoring!! 😂 great Job Mitch!!!!! Can’t wait to see more!!!! ❤❤❤
Well, it’s the right time of year for you to pull off something as supernatural as this detail! What an incredible mess but what a transformation, now I KNOW you can clean anything. It’s going to be hard to top this one. Congratulations on a magical detail!👻
Thank you!
I don’t normally watch a whole video, just skip, but this was definitely worth the watch!! Love your content man, always love looking forward to Fridays
Good for those young fellows that are taking this car on!! They WILL get her up and running!!
From the comfort of my living room I found this very satisfying and admiring of your hard work.
I sincerely hope they don't sell it as a parts vehicle, the old girl cleaned up so well it would a major shame not to give her a road life again.
You need to do these barn find details more often. They are my favorite. Making a car that's been sitting for years pretty again.
My Dad has 2 of these in the yard at home, A white and a silver one. In Australia they were called the Subaru Vortex.
No idea why I landed on this channel, but I loved watching you detail this car! It's obvious you have a passion for this kind of work, and you sure didn't miss a beat with everything that needed to be cleaned and polished! Good for you having your own business as well! All the best to you!
Loved that video! Weird and old barn finds are the best! Althought sometimes it can be a little frustrating as a car lover, seeing for example a NSX sitting outside for 10 years, no tarp or anything....its great to see them back in shape after!
I honestly can’t wait to see how this turns out. Is the owner restoring this or something? I guess we’ll find out! So excited
Okay Ashley 🙄
@@YourMomXD1337 - You know you didn’t have to write that comment right? Didn’t your mother ever teach you if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all?
Looks so cool eh, I love the 80's styling. At the beginning they said someone has bought the car with the hope of restoring it, however they will sell and make a quick buck if anyone wants it as a parts car.
@@laurac86 okay Laura 🙄
@@YourMomXD1337ok “your mom”🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Is it possible to do more restoration projects like this? Really cool to see first impression vs final product!
loving your new approach of videos, more interesting to see where the cars come from. keep it up!! love your channel. and yes all tips to help me clean my cars too. thank you .
This is going to look mint.... My dad owned this same car back in the 80's. Had so much fun in it as a kid ❤
Great job Mitch! I think you should do more of these kinds of details. It's good fun and gets the car a new lease on life. I remember going to a Subaru dealer when it was first introduced in the states and seeing this on the showroom floor. The sales people were pretty proud of it and were showing me how strong the door was by opening it and sitting on top of the window ledge. Quite impressive.
honestly those car seats were kinda cool with the checkered patterns almost like racing reats
I've always been interested in detailing cars knowing how disgusting some cars are it still interests me and this channel really pushes those interests more. I'd really love to start my own detailing/restoring business someday but im clueless when it comes to using the right tools/chemicals on the right conditions of the vehicle
Thank you for getting to the point and telling us what it was, that way we could enjoy the rest of the video. Much love, MUCH respect for that. Thumbs up!
Hey Mitch. You are fun to watch! The yard transformations are fun also. But I can almost detail my little PT Cruiser after watching you😊. You have mentioned in passing, ceramic coat - tell us more, please!
Mitch, God gave you a golden heart and that is priceless! Blessings! Cool episode! 💪🏻💣💖💖💖
This really is an incredible transformation. I have a lot of faith in Mitch’s abilities but that came out better than I could have thought, most impressive video yet!
Watching you detail this car was very satisfying, I wish there was a link to see it get running
That was such a unique barn find and then to detail it and get it looking prestine again is incredible plus a customer reaction this video had it all as always keep up all the hard work your doing
I really love the diversity & variety of different styles and types of vehicles u work on Mitch. Change is good, it breaks the routine & surprises us. All the love from KSA 🇸🇦
because of the low air drag, this might be a perfect car to do an EV conversion with a motor that would be way more powerful than the original. Get this thing going 0-60 in like 3 seconds...
Excellent video, enjoyed every bit of it.
Thought you should know that this vid is quickly spreading through the XT/XT6 community. Great job on the detail! It’s in better shape that a lot of them we come across.
It’s a bit of work to get them running and driving properly. They are weirdly engineered and VERY complicated, but seriously fun to drive! And restoring it will be an even bigger undertaking.
Like most XTs they’ll either get it running and enjoy it as is, or part it out.
Cool find, awesome cleaning job!
It's probably because of the 100% joggers pants acceptance rate.
My grandpa bought one brand new and it’s been sitting in his barn not running for about 20 years, I think getting good parts is extremely hard.
@@Jordan__SloanFor the engine/drivetrain, not too difficult. the EA engine was widely used and new-old-stock parts are still available in many cases. A lot of these also get swapped with the more modern (but still discontinued as of 2022) EJ series engines.
You've had some really cool cars, trucks etc on this channel. This is the first one though I've actually nerded out on seeing it 🤣
Would love to see more classic /old cars like this on the channel!
The 90-96 300ZX also has the control pods! They’re a little strange to get used to but I love them personally
I love weird '80s cars... always amazes me how a car gets abandoned or just left. A 200,000 mile junker I can imagine, but this would have been a looker back in the day!
We had the Subaru in the States with the windows that only rolled down halfway, weird car but it's a collector's item now just like I'm sure this one is!
That’s in kilometers, that converts to 136k miles
It probably stopped running
That'll be the Subaru SVX - the successor to the XT
😂
What a beautiful reaction from your dad. He is a fantastic photographer. The photos are gorgeous. You need to get him some camera bags for Christmas. I loved the owl pictures.
I mean id be interested in it assuming the rust isnt also structural aka also having severe frame damage. And that the mice didnt eat through a ton of wires.
I collect and fix cars but electrical is a nightmare
To quote you Mitch - “Insanely satisfying!” Amazing job, loved watching every minute.
YES!!! more like this car. Please and thank you? I also really like watching you use that clay. Never knew stuff could be embedded in the paint until I saw you use thatl totally awesome 😊
Thanks for the opportunity to watch such an iconic car get some love. Back then everything was "turbo" and "Z". Good memories, I remember these cars too. All my family were car mechanics and 4 drove stock👍👌
I'm shocked how clean the inside was, it should have been super moldy. I miss the 80s interiors with the soft velour seats and the fluffy carpet. It would have been nice if you had explained the paint cutting and polishing process. A lot of people don't know much about it since everything has clearcoat now. I hope you do more of these. : )
And corinthian leather. lol
They had clear coat back then too. That car has it
@@doctorfeinstone6524 yes, I'm aware of that. I think it would be beneficial if he showed people how to properly cut and polish paint on a vehicle.
It really is a pleasure to watch you restoring these vehicles. SO satisfying!!!
My uncle had one of these back then. An off gold color. Cool car back in those days.
I appreciate you and your camera angles! You’re doing gods work cleaning the nastier vehicles for our viewing!!! Much love brother!
Keep it up Mitch! 1986 Subaru XT Turbo is a hidden gem. Amazing to see how it was rescued from under those spruce trees and brought back to life
not mice my friend but squirrels. Mice would leave droppings, eat the complete interior including carpet and chair fillings, and they will certainly not leave their stash of nuts and grain laying around.
I've owned 3 of those back in the mid 90's and they were fantastic cars. Even back then folks didn't know what to think of them especially when they saw the Subaru badge on the hood. I can remember a trip to Maine when I had to stop for some groceries at a Walmart along the way and when I came out of the store there was a crowd huddled around my car remarking "It says it's a Subaru!" and another remarked "That's not a Subaru! It's not ugly enough!". I had to explain to them that this was their (Subaru's) attempt at a sports coupe, and was more about aerodynamics than horsepower since mine wasn't a turbo charged model nor was it 4-wheel drive. It however could easily do well over 100mph (I personally had it to 120), and as the speed increased the car became even easier to handle due to shape of the vehicle which would cause the air stream to push the car down essentially turning the entire car into a giant spoiler. I'm into classic cars now with owning 2 Corvettes, but would love to get my hands on one of these as I believe it would be a giant hit at car shows considering how unique they were.
Mn c
My dad had one the FWD non-Turbo model, fun car to drive with the 5 speed.
This was certainly more interesting than the usual dirty car videos (not saying they're not good) but to watch an old car that's just been left for years get a good clean is on another level. Plus it would be cool if they get it fixed up you do a follow up to see what it looks like
Those are Pugeot wheels, or 'Pugs,' as fans of old Subarus call them. Older Subarus with 4-bolt wheels had 14" wheels, and the only 15" wheels with the right bolt pattern and offset were the Pugeot wheels. I had a set on my '92 Loyale. Interestingly, the XT6 (same as the XT Turbo, but with a flat 6 engine) had a 5-bolt pattern. I had WRX wheels on my XT6, which looked pretty cool. That was a fun car.
Dude.....that was a great job on the Subaru inside and out. Giving the age and the condition that it was in. I hope the guys can get it running. Awesome job!!!!
Yeah, an update would be great. I'm assuming the mechanicals can be sorted pretty much, but the body looks like it has severe rust issues and finding replacement panels is going to be difficult, even finding a donor car isn't going to be easy. Your work at getting it looking as good as it does is amazing as always.
What's a donor car
@@akshaychari1703 It's another car, same make and model that you can take parts from (therefore "donate") to repair the car you want to fix.
Cool looking shifting stick.👌🏻
The finished results are stunning, I would not change a thing, well done and congratulations on a wonderful sculpture. 👌👌👌
Wow! You’re a gem, so patient and thorough! Love 💕 what you do! Keep it up!
Mr. Geek,
Because you deserve it, I'm going to give you some advice; After you're done with your routine, clean your glass (inside/out) with SOFT SCRUB, and the outside body of the vehicle, tires and rims, and all plastic. Rinse and wipe dry until no streaking/residue. Then do your glass (inside/out) with RAIN X, then do the paint with TR3, and buff it out. You'll be very happy you did.
Yes M, it's a nice idea to work on those yard/barn finds some are real gems.👍
Sorry if you've already done one of these, but I would love a video detailing how you clean up the garage after a particularly nasty detail. We often see the shop pristine as a dirty car comes in and we see it get splattered and messy as you clean. Would love to see some of the routine maintenance of the space itself.
He does have a seperate channel for this. Can't remember the name of it but he has mentioned in a couple of his video's previously. Sure it won't be hard to find.
It's called The Detail Geek 2! 😂
@@SableMerl hah of course it is. Thanks!
Great job! Hope they get it running. What a unique find. Very satisfying indeed!
This was great to watch, interesting how designs have changed.
One thing this video can not do is the smell and I'm sure that car smells better too. Mice can leave a nasty order.
Kudos and love your videos, my husband got me hooked and he uses all your tips when cleaning our vehicles and others. He is also from Regina.
That was pure magic it’s unbelievable to think that you pulled off such a great detail loved it ❤
It's so satisfying to watch you start from scratch and detail a car until it looks practically new!!
Wow, what a transformation, that is downright miraculous!! I love the interior on this car, from the upholstery on the seats to the dash layout, it's old school cool and futuristic all at the same time.
As a car lover, I've never understood how cars end up abandoned, especially if the owner is still alive and knows where the car and keys are. I can see tossing an old article of clothing in the back of your closet and forgetting about it, but how do you just walk away from a car for 10 (or more) years!? I'd love to stumble on a find like this, though! Great job bringing it back from the grave!
What's the point of the detail if it doesn't run? Or does it? I'll have to wait and see. Curse you for this teaser! And a premiere?! A gift to start this holiday season. ❤
I imagine it's a restoration project. Working with a clean car makes the job easier, as there's less worries about mold, spiders, mice, several plumes of dirt in your face, etc. It's not a necessity to get a car detailed before restoring it, obviously, it's just an option that makes things a little easier for some folks.
My grandfather's the same way with old projects or restorations, except he does the cleaning himself. I personally would vacuum and wipe surfaces and clean up only what's hazardous and in the way initially, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go the extra mile at that point and get the exterior up and done
@@erinnerungen8823 Restoration was my guess, also thinking wash and clean but don't go all out yet. If it's stored where neighbors can see it, fully detailed would be better while it's being worked on.
@@shannonp1656 Oh I get that, I think the same as you. I personally wouldn't fully detail a restoration until I know the project can be completed. I'm just saying some people would probably go the extra mile just for the sake of doing it, or they probably have the money to burn anyway. Probably the case in this video. There's also the possibility that the car still runs. Either way, I'm curious to see the reasoning in the video tomorrow (if there is a reason given)
Geek,
I'm only into this vid for 5.5" . . I like your narration, and the way you cover all the bases. I used to do detailing among other tasks for a major Chevy dealership, and I was taught how to do this; I kind of miss this work.
Oh man a premiere with this one. That means it will be wild and fun to watch. I am excited to see this baby get pulled out of the woods and looking shiny and clean by the time it's done. Go Mitch!!💜
It's a lot of work but I'm sure once it's done it Will Make it w ok right
Amazing job as always Mitch! If you don't mind, how much did you charge for such a big job like this?
A whole movie trailer to hype this one up haha. I like it
I happened upon your videos by accident, but I must say that I'm hooked!! You do AMAZING work bringing these vehicles back to life!! Subscribed and have "liked" the videos I've watched so far. Will probably be ordering some stuff from your site, too.
It was a lot of fun to watch this one! Just the Back to the Future factor was great! This car reminded me of the Honda Prelude I was so hoping to get back in the late 80's when I had just graduated from college... (I ended up with something I could actually afford - a Ford Escort...) 😂 I'd love to see more of these kinds of details if you run across them! I find it fascinating to see the 'time capsule' factor of these kinds of cars and any backstory they have.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Hi, I don’t know how to link another comment, but if you look through them from 10/23
i wrote a few things reminiscing the Subaru XT i had in high school.
i had an 84 Ford Escort 2dr Hatchback with a 4spd Manual Transmission and basic stereo and no a/c, so i know what you’re talking about
@@JohnH20111 I had a 4-door automatic hatchback, so mine wasn't the bare-bones model. I was never great at driving manual, so it was a much better situation for me than literally grinding through clutch after clutch... 😆 I was always impressed with how much I could pack into the Escort when I was moving. It got me from place to place so I was grateful for that, although not nearly in the style I desired at the time. I ended up a truck person after becoming a homeowner. I have a 13-yr old Dodge Dakota that I'll drive until it doesn't make sense to repair it anymore.
Can’t believe you threw away the squirrel’s life saving like that.
I detailed our three cars this summer. I had bought the Detail Geek brushes that go in my drill to scrub the carpets, seats and cloth surfaces. The worst spot was my sister in laws car (1990 Miata one-owner) where she had spilled coffee into the carpet bunches of times through the years. I ended up pressure washing that area over and over and over until the water came out clear. The brushes did an amazing job just like you see in these videos. All cars interiors came out looking like new. Highly recommend those brushes!
The deck was totally stacked against you with the location, keys locked inside, flat front tire, spruce needles, unloading etc etc!! One more word - INCREDIBLE!!!
Great to see you here Jennifer. That was an amazing premiere. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Take care!
@@joelbuchanan471 Hey Joel! Good to see you too, friend. I agree, this video might be my favorite of the year (so far 😂) You have an awesome weekend too, have fun!
Good to see you, my friend. Yes, I agree with you. Wow! We are so thrilled that Mitch is well expert and that the car can be restored and look new. How amazing! Have a beautiful day and an awesome weekend! Take care! 😊
@@cynthiahopkins7090Hi Cynthia! Glad you're here, my friend. I agree, Mitch is a magician! This car is so cool and I love the seats. You take care and have a fun weekend!! 😊
You might want to pull the spark plugs and fill the cylinders up with something like marvel mystery oil and hand turn the motor gently after it soaks in oil for a couple days. Something that’s sitting that long definitely doesn’t need a battery thrown in it and hit the starter. The cylinders are probably rusty anyway but you could break rings and damage it doing so.
Love your old in the barn, under the trees, lost in the weeds car transformations Mitch!!!
Great work!!!
Wow! Cannot wait for this one!
Woah can’t wait!!!
I remember these XTs from when I was a kid. I was totally fascinated by them and they've remained one of my dream cars ever since. I appreciated your commentary about it's cooler and more interesting/unique features!
I had an xt turbo baby blue. It was so much fun.
My uncle had one brand new one that time 😃, that beautiful (Helicopter) gear stick was awesome!!
Parting that out would be criminal - they were super-rare even when they were new so it deserves to live to see another day. Great detail on a fascinating car.
I love how you put so much care into this car even though it was going to be striped of it’s parts anyway, amazing job I love your videos!
