My dad was born in 1918. He grew up learning to use what you had. Was a very good mechanic. Junk yard for parts. Cleaning plugs until just wouldn't work. Making own plug wires. Always a tool kit in car. Making do. Wasn't a bad life.
Before the late 60s swapping out broken parts was rarely an option. Your first course of action was always attempting to fix that part. When that wasn't possible you'd better know how to run a lathe because you'll be trying to remanufacture a new part yourself. If you can't fix it you'll try and adapt a similar part off another machine and make it work. Only once all those options would you even consider driving to town to buy a new generic part.
Дизель , гидронасос , втулки и пальцы, шины - всё в очень плачевном состоянии. Этому погрузчику не дитйлинг был нужен - а реальный капитальный ремонт ☝️🥸
Love how they just painted over the dirt and grease. That will really work. And the clutch packs! Just a wire wheel clean,😂. You can tell that they don't care if it's going to last. A lot of work for nothing!!!!
Why you so upset bro? Does it clash with your uniform…..!!!!! What an absolutely stupid thing to say after all the effort that this guy has put into it….
Parece que não trocaram nem as mangueiras da hidráulica. E não passaram uma graxa nas juntas. Agora é esperar visualização para ver se dá para dar entrada em uma nova.
These kind of lads are what you find up bush and will fix most things with a half dead battery and a piece of wet rope. Have personal experience of riding through N/E Thailand when my Harley threw a piston. The girlfriend soon found a guy all sorted in 24 hrs dirt cheap and so helpful.
Seeing the engine smoking and missfiring I would say low compression because the sleeves weren't cross-hatched and him mixing up the valves screwed up the work he did. Another thing he should have done is put locktite on the flywheel bolts.
Восхитительное восстановление!!! Этот трактор будет жить! Вы молодцы! Позволю себе немного критики: грунтовка не нейтрализует ржавчину. Под ней все продолжит жрать железо.
Did a good job rebuilding the engine but screwed up on lapping the valves. Once a valve is lapped to the hole, that is the only hole that it seals properly in. If he does a compression test, he is going to have random pressures across the cylinders because the valves are mismatched now. Since he lapped all the valves then took them out and didn't keep them in order, he just threw them into a pile with no order. Also were the new cylinder sleeves honed for the cross-hatch. The sleeves that I have seen aren't honed when brand new.
I thought so too although he then puts them back in specific spots, must have them marked. Running it right after rebuild for a decent amount of time with no coolant didnt feel right
@@awake.collective what i saw was him just plunk the valves in. He did stop and glance at the rest of them because the intake and exhaust are different sizes. Running the engine as long as he did without cooling, I don't think would hurt it because he probably filled the block with water. If you noticed the water and hose there. When he was cranking the engine white smoke came out of the turbocharger from both sides. That shows that the valves weren't in order causing blowby and low compression
Man I must say, ya'll don't f..k around when it comes to getting things done. I am so impressed they way you guys just buckle down and take care of business. I love it. Amazing work. We here in the U.S. could learn a lot from your work ethic and willingness to take used up equipment and turning it into something useful. We just throw shit away and buy a new one. Most of the time the new one is more work and cost more to maintain then the old ones. Hell with all the computer crap now you can't even work on the darn things anymore. When they break you just have to call the man to fix it. Well done boys.
Guys, here is our True Savior HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH” YaH is The Heavenly Father YaH arrives via the TENT OF MEETING YaH was Who they Crucified for our sins YaH was Crucified on an Almond TREE Semitic of Moshe (Moses) Isa Scroll (The Original Isaiah) Isaiah 42:8 - I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. Isaiah 43:11 - I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me. Isaiah 45:5 - I am YaH, and there is none else.
Man. I was watching the early bits of the video thinking "They're actually putting some effort into this. Grinding down the old paint on that cab, respraying it, bending back the doors, welding them. Looks good so far." Cleaning every part of the engine, even grinding out the scores and dents in the camshaft. Nice. But then the engine painting began. They didn't cover up a single hole on the block so a ton of paint went inside. Sure, a few pigment particles here and there probably aren't a big deal. But good lord, they almost completely painted the inside of the engine as well as the outside. Hell, they even painted the inside of the turbo for christ's sake. Seemingly didn't use heat resistant paint on the exhaust manifold, so that's just gonna burn right off. might as well not have bothered. Then the loader arm didn't get a once over with the grinder, so they just painted over all the old grime and dirt. Looks like they didn't repack any of the hydraulic cylinders, so they're probably as leaky as a sieve. Then when it's all reassembled, the exhaust churns out a ton of unburnt fuel, so the engine probably didn't get repaired, it just got a coat of paint to look nice. When the loader lifts itself up using the bucket, then lets itself down, you can see that there is a humongous amount of play in the articulation joint. All the pins in there should have been replaced. And let's not forget that a couple of the tires barely have any tread left on them. This is a scam restoration. They only "fixed" cosmetic defects, and gave it a fresh coat of paint so it'll look good, but it'll fall apart in mere moments, probably after this "Boy Genius" has sold it off to someone else. This channel can piss right off.
The missing wheel bolts, the transmission clutch packs just brushed off and put back in, the worn out pivots in the bucket and lift arms, the machine is a piece of junk that barely operates, but that's pretty nice for that part of the world.
That was a good field restoration. Could it have been better of course, does it need a new bucket? Absolutely, and probably tires, especially with the rebuilt motor’s newfound power. But the important thing is it’s useable again and you saved it from the trash heap which would have been a terrible waste.👍🏼
Amazing job guys. Enjoy watching y'all work together. A good team. I use to change tires of all kinds in the shop n road service by myself. Turned wrenches too. Grew up farming. I know how hard it is. So again. Great job. Be safe.
A bunch of ignorant people in the field ...., through comments. 1. I don't know if you noticed how dusty this excavator was when they brought it to refurbish it (it was effectively destroyed, non-functional) 2. They brought him to Life ...., only through their work and their skill ... Many of those who Comment here..., don't even know how to put a wheel on a bicycle, but they throw their hat at these Boys who make a colossal effort to restore an Excavator from 0, (effectively destroyed..) 3. I don't think these guys Restored this Excavator to Sell it, they just did it for their Personal Use, they got it from the Junkyard, > Free and Non-functional, being rusted and totally destroyed, and they made it Run Perfectly, and look almost like New! 4. Buying a New Excavator nowadays costs a lot ... If they let it rust there without any purpose...., wouldn't it still be called pollution? :) Well done guys, you did a very good job and with only what you had at hand, that is simple things and very hard work!

3:03:08 when he moves, you can see the center pivot bearings are shot, the front and back halves move apart.
No grease on the gears or any Joint !!!!!! 1:19:54
Lapping valves to valve seats and immediately mixing them up lol
Sehr gute Mechaniker hervorragende Restauration

Maybe McDonald’s donated the paint 👍👍🤭🤭
Your obviously working on a tight budget. Because of that you did a good job.
should call this "a wash & paint"
una restauracion practicamente hecha a mano felicidades

При ограниченном бюджете и при бедности в стране эти ребята делают хорошее дело , и приносят какую то пользу .
Молодцы! Проведена хорошая работа. Можно ставить в музее дорожной техники на постамент. Он своё отработал.

That is a wheel loader. Not a bulldozer. Bulldozers have tracks.
