Two nights before Halloween I threw in my old Young Frankenstein VHS! Upon seeing Teri I immediately googled to see her age and health status, only to find out she had literally just passed away. I had to read the date like four times before I could accept what I was reading. She was truly a beautiful person.💔
I worked in a hotel on the south side of Atlanta back in the early '70's and had the pleasure of meeting Terri Garr when she stayed with us. She was cute as a button and nice as could be. I got to drive her back to the airport and we chatted like ole friends.
I think I first saw Teri when she appeared in Star Trek TOS as Roberta Lincoln in the episode entitled, “Assignment: Earth,” and like so many 14-year-old boys, I immediately fell in love with this woman who was a good eight years older than I was, and I continued to enjoy her work throughout her career. She was very good and very smart and so many of us loved her. I hope that she is still hanging in there.

She was making a valid point about the way male and female nudity is presented. But Conan was trying for laughs so he never acknowledged that valid point.

Not really. She said "imagine if it had been female nudity" and concluded, on no evidence, that would just be nude posing. She imagined that to make her point. That wouldn't make sense in a serious play, unless it was a play about strippers. In a serious play the actors wouldn't be talking like beauty contest participants either. Coppola's "One FromThe Heart" is the best movie she was in---great performance, great director.
What year is this from?
who DOESN'T like Teri?? Star Trek with Mr. Seven, Mr. Mom. Most lovable person.
Always fun to see Teri Garr and fellow dancers movin' and shakin' with Ann-Margret in "Bye Bye Birdie!"
I loved her as Roberta Lincoln
I sure miss this style of late nite comedy. Where it’s simply funny
Her point was intelligent and serious and he disrespected her and made stupid jokes. I am not sure he even got the importance of her point. She politely asked to change the subject. I guess it would have been career-limiting to have walked off the stage, but he would have deserved it if she had.
I agree 100% with your statement, I was wondering if anyone else caught that, he was a total JERK through most of the interview.
I get the impression she wasn't really happy about her marriage. John O'Neil (m. 1993-1996).
Her roll in Young Frankenstien was so funny. She is awesome!
She was so pretty.
I love Teri Garr. I've loved her my whole life.
Both of these guys are great people and I enjoy watching Conan especially
Terry Ann Garr (December 11, 1944 - October 29, 2024), known as Teri Garr,
RIP
"Roll, roll, roll. Roll in the hay." From "Young Frankenstein."
Few women can match Terri for beauty and sexiness
Conan was more aggressive in the 90s, I love it.
her feedback regarding marriage, "it's work", foreshadowed her divorce a year later
RIP Teri...always smiled when I saw and heard you, definitely a "keeper" for any intelligent guy. Teri was a winner.
Teri Garr was the perfect actress to play Phoebe Abbot. She was also quite wonderful in Close Encounters ... .
Terri Garr is so much smarter than Conan. He doesn’t know when to shut up and listen to guests instead of talking over them.
You do know that Conan is a Harvard graduate don't you? He also was head of the Harvard Lampoon,
their humor magazine, while there. Terry, as lovable as she is, never even went to college. She was born into a showbiz family and has performed since childhood.
How's your talk show going anyway?
@@janeelliott1548I think most
great actors, musicians and
songwriters never went to
college. Recently this has
changed but it's too hard to
compare different periods.
Whenever I see Terry Garr she reminds me of her enticing line in the movie Young Frankenstein’s when she asks the doctor, 👨🏻🦳👍💘would you like to go for a roll in the hay?
She is almost 80, but looks half her age.
