Such a favorite actor. Uma gave everything for those Kill Bill movies. Uma has a good nature with great inner strength. She got injured and kept going. What do they call that? Grit. Uma's got grit. ❤ And a modesty which accompanies a real class. She was so great in those films.
As great as Uma was in the Kill Bill movies, the supporting cast was stellar. Tarantino always used great character actors like Michael Madsen and resurrected careers of many actors like David Carradine, Michael Parks and Bo Svenson.
@@asiddababa You're right, he was the first actor i thought of who's career was revived by Tarantino. I left him out because I figured someone would complain his career was fine before Pulp Fiction.
@markb20 reservoir dogs is great, a little unpolished compared to his later films but I think that actually helps the movie weirdly enough. Tarantino just writes scripts that actors want to be a part of making.
@@invisalats841 That's true about Reservoir Dogs. Some call it a masterpiece, but it's a bit too unpolished for me. It's like Tarantino was fine tuning his skills for his true masterpiece, Pulp Fiction.
I always loved that part, "You call that begging?" Yes, that's all you get. To a child it doesn't seem like begging, but you can hear it in the tone of her voice, she genuinely does not want to kill a child, but she will if you are in her way.
Well, I'll be damned. I worked as a Grip on "Django Unchained," while it was being shot here in the New Orleans area in 2011 and Quentin was still getting photos of people with the giant black dildo if they were caught sleeping on set. We also had the wall of shame with numerous photos on it too. I had no idea that it was done on other movie productions before DU.
So glad this was pulled out of 'storage'. There are many people (including me) who have seen the 'Kill Bill' movies 10, 15, 20 times (you get the idea) and if I'm switching around with my remote and I see it on I most definitely will watch it. Uma was absolutely fantastic in the movie and, btw, the supporting cast was, can we say, sensational?
I've been able to get most of the best of the Tarantino movies. Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 being two of my favorites. Reservoir Dogs another, as well as many others, but Kill Bill is easily one of the best of them all. The action, the brutality was over the top but done with a unique intensity, and a art form almost. The music, the characters, the fights, and the development of all of the characters was done perfectly by Tarantino. It's hard to put into words and describe why a movie that was so viciously brutal, was so damn entertaining to watch. Not in any sort of bad way. Tarantino has a way of taking real life insanity and making it, and showing it in a again an incredibly unique way. What's sad now is what Hollywood has now become.
@@EdsterIII Wow! What a loaded reply from you and I thank you very much for your in depth story behind the man and in particular what he accomplished with Kill Bill. I kept nodding when I read your comment because everything you were saying was so 'right on'. But, if I may, I would like to reiterate something I mentioned which I believe had a lot to do with the movie's popularity through the years and it was the casting of Uma. How does that line go in the song, "You're my perfect imperfection"? There was something about her in that particular role which 'didn't fit' but she was so comfortable doing it she wound up hitting a home run with it. It's as if she added another dimension to her role. I can picture Quentin Tarantino looking at a take on a scene and uttering to himself, "She is definitely adding something to the movie in her own way that is wonderful." Just a thought.
This is so natural ,you can see Uma visibly relax with her host,Im almost expecting a marriage announcement with these two ,watching the interaction is fascinating

If you watch Uma in this interview and look at her eyes and her gestures you can easily tell it was before she got into the car accident in the 2nd movie where Quinton had her drive that car without a stunt double and she crashed into a tree and injured her neck. She now is in a lot of pain. She sued Quinton and apparently he took it personally and they are now on the outs

Watch Umas body language change through this interview as she opens up priceless!
One just cant deny this fact,Tarantino knows how to choose his actors very well
Uma played that role perfectly! She is so talented!
I like to see Uma Thurman so relaxed talking and smiling
1:42
Sylvestor Stallone "Eh yo Conaaaan! I know youre talking about me"
This was before her and Quentin's falling out. She really thought highly of him it's sad he almost killed her in Kill Bill 2 and then refused to apologize for years until he was publicly shamed into it.
It’s possible that she always had an issue with him. Voicing a negative opinion on a powerful director at the time could have ruined your career.
Well, they're still friends now so...
What happened?!
Love Kill Bill Volume I and II. Did not hear about Uma nearly being killed during filming of KBVII. Please elaborate.
@@CrazyEightyEights google it for more info but a short summary is that he made her do a bunch of takes driving in really bad weather until she crashed
She looks fantastic! 🥰 Loved her in Kill Bill! She was born for that role! So much fun...👍
Yeah that wigs awesome. Them fake boobs are so delicious
She'd leave a Bond Girl for dead
@@hodaka1000She would've made one helluva Bond gal! Broccoli missed his chance.
She trained her arse off for that role. She should've been nominated for best actress. She was magnificent!
I saw volumes I and II a couple times in theater and still remember it like it was yesterday and still have the ticket stubs. I can’t believe this was 20 years ago and during the Matrix, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings films being in theaters. Such a cool time
Back when movies were good and worth going to. Now it's just Marvel or DC spinoff #500. Although the new DnD movie is pretty great.
Those tickets are probably worth a fortune now. Wish I woulda saved mine.
@@V3x0r Jordan Peele makes great movies, very happy I saw Nope in the cinema.
"this definetly not a friend of children" - he's like alright u won the interview 😂
It’s crazy how much better Conan is than all the other hosts.
😂😂😂😂😂 lamest host ever
I've only seen her in Pulp Fiction (which was a movie before my time), but I didn't realize her real voice is so similar to her daughter's. The first few sentences here immediately reminded me of Maya talking in Stranger Things.
Pulp fiction is one of the best movies ever if you haven't seen it. John Travolta also stars in it.
Maya has her mom’s wonderful feminine energy and looks. They also sound identical, it’s pretty cool.
Still an absolutely lovely woman in every sense. Beautiful and humorous and very talented. Total package.
"so you mean medium" conan is so flawlessly funny
Uma had some witty answers here and the crowd was not reacting to it at all 😭
@Karl with a K An ability to pass rehearsed lines as spontaneous thoughts represents high IQ?
@@natka9876 Pretty sure Karl's point was she didn't pass the script off as natural or spontaneous. The fake laughs and awkward statements do not seem like the traditional Uma. Perhaps she was enjoying her high a bit too much, as she looked and sounded more like a stereotyped 70s blonde.
@@kookiethebear I understood what he said. I just don’t think it speaks to her IQ. It’s more of a EQ thing.
@Karl with a K sounds like projection to me.

She is on a different level of attractive
I always liked Uma , She always played the part of any character perfectly .
"I was all knees, elbows, and FEET." Quentin was all about the feet.
Is that "rumor" true? I've heard he had a very special fondness for feet, toes, etc. Sorry if this offends anyone, but and again, no offense but feet are NOT a sexy thing or attribute. Just take a peek at Brie Larson's AWFUL feet. 😖😖😖😖😖 then 🥴🤢🤢🤮🤮! Sorry but I just don't get it.
Funny you say that...in the garage scene where she's shoved into a pick-up truck, she has bare feet, I distinctly recall thinking those are some huge feet
Wiggle your big toe.
@@KhsjsjI'm going to reply to your comment by sharing something I just saw: if you UA-cam Jackie Brown parking scene, Bridget Fonda is absolutely stunning...if you look at today's Daily Mail, there's a recent photo of her....she let herself go to the point where it's hard to believe it's her😢
First interview I have seen her in, so charming, she is the total package, and seems to be a great human being as well
She is a shining example of how some of the most successful people, are also some of the nicest.
Uma is absolutely gorgeous and a very talented actress
Conan was the best late night host. Natural jokes in conversation just so good!
Conan the Flawless

Such a favorite actor. Uma gave everything for those Kill Bill movies. Uma has a good nature with great inner strength. She got injured and kept going. What do they call that? Grit. Uma's got grit. ❤ And a modesty which accompanies a real class. She was so great in those films.
She's a woman. "Actress" is much more flattering.
You need to get out more, your going weird!!
@@dondamon4669 Thanks for your criticism. But I don't listen to the low IQ.
That title is crazy.
As great as Uma was in the Kill Bill movies, the supporting cast was stellar. Tarantino always used great character actors like Michael Madsen and resurrected careers of many actors like David Carradine, Michael Parks and Bo Svenson.
100% + Travolta - it’s easy to forget that his career had been well and truly dead in the water for many years before Pulp Fiction.
@@asiddababa You're right, he was the first actor i thought of who's career was revived by Tarantino. I left him out because I figured someone would complain his career was fine before Pulp Fiction.
@@asiddababa Oh, and should have added Harvey Keitel to the great character actors used by Tarantino; one of the all-time best.
Um... You read the line wrong. She was saying that she was going to show uma what it really feels like to beg.
She is so intelligent and presents herself so beautifully.
yes, i do like this presentation a lot
This is the most respectable interview I've seen ever.
she's top 5 ever. classic charm and and personality
Weird
she has a charm about her that is A+ special. I can see that lots of the best moments of her characters were her being Uma, not acting. wow.
"with a pleasing odor" lol i love conan
20 years ago In October 03, I saw Kill Bill. I absolutely loved it & am so proud of QT & Uma…
It’s crazy how much Maya is like her mom. They’re both a joy.
I've watched Stranger Things from the beginning and somehow didn't realize who her parents were until a little while ago.😅
Maya totally has her mom's voice! I just noticed that.

I love the scene in Kill Bill where she goes and trains with Pai Mai, who is ruthless but respects her once he sees her progress.
@NightShadeXVTime does fly.

@@albe7292 Thanks for being pedantic but you would be wrong. Get with the times, 'actor' is correct as it infers equality not gender.
@boddysurfer Whatever. I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's just about distinguishing the gender when using written expression. I'm confident that Uma couldn't care less. Get over it.
@@boddysurfer The word 'actor' might or might not imply something, but It doesn't infer anything - it is the listener/viewer that makes inferences.

This has to be one of the sexiest late night interviews ever with the lovely Uma Thurman.
How can You easily tell?
It was already shot it was originally shot as one film
Weinstein made Quinten do the wreck scene because she wouldn’t sleep with his old creepy fat ass!
Remember when interviews were pleasing like this? Celebrities that seemed nice and interesting, and hosts that weren't political.
