Love the v-stitch, so I'm really REALLY happy to know how to do this in the "round" (or in the rectangle). Thank you so much for a clear, well-explained tutorial. I'm going to have to start another blanket now!
This is a great stash buster for me! My grand daughter's CAT loves cotton blankets so I am using all my scraps to make him one with this pattern. I'll be making more with other yarn too!
I’ve tried the standard v-stitch and find the blanket lacier than I prefer. Thank you for showing us this “cluster” v-stitch. I find it to be a nice alternative 🧶👍🏼
Simply stunning and clever way to crochet cluster v-stitch. I prefer to crochet in the round as opposed to row. I find it easier to control the size and the colors pop a little more. Would you by any chance have a written pattern?
You answered my question right off. Am doing a granny throw for BFF. I like the yarn so much I bought more of it to make myself something. I think this pattern will be it.
I was getting ready to start a granny rectangle blanket until I found this tutorial. I like this so much more!! Question…will this twist like a granny square - since we don’t turn the project? Thank you 😊
I love this pattern I worked it out on one side and the other side I couldn't work out Pity pity because really it is SUCH A FAST BLANKET Allison you are AMASING
This is a beautiful pattern and it looks very easy. This is going to be my next project. They you for doing this video and you are so easy to follow when you are demonstrating a pattern. Once again thank you
Very pretty stitch Rebekah I loved it the first time round ,shame about the mistake thank you for doing a full remake of the video you are so thorough and thoughtful 😊Amanda xx💖💕🌸
Beautiful stitching. I also want to express my absolute love for the hooks that I bought from your channel. They have made my crochet experience more enjoyable as if anything could 😍
I love this stitch tutorial. ❤ thank you. I have a question about the length of the beginning chain. I know the chain is a multiple of 3, but when creating rectangular blankets, is there a "standard" quantity of chains so the blanket grows correctly, proportionately width and length
This pattern is perfect for when I want to use up leftover yarn and don'tknow how much i actually have. I Russian join the next color. My workaround when I got to the joining corner is to (US terms): Ch 1, DC into the top of the first V stitch ( where you would have joined before). This will put your yarn in the actual corner instead of the join. Then I SC into the corner formed and ch 1. This creates the first leg of the first part of the V stitch. Continue as normal.
Help Peeps!! It’s not working for me!!! My work is wavy and doesn’t sit flat. Tried 4 times - same result. Am doing the 2nd row right by skipping the middle v and going straight from corner stitches to corner stitches. Have watched the video a few times and cannot see where I am going wrong
I couldn’t get it to work for me either. First attempt, it twisted on me - my ‘columns’ of stitches started to lean. Second attempt, I turned my work, which helped, but the short ends started to go wavy. Third attempt, the same thing on the short ends happened again. It’s like there are too many stitches or something. After frogging it for a 3rd time I gave up, put my yarn in a time out, and found a different pattern.
Ive enjoyed following your v stitch rectangle . However, it doesn’t lay flat as the sort ends are wider than if you measure the middle. The count of the stitches is correct. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you
Wondering if it’s possible to say how many yards of yarn will make good size blanket? I love this stitch and just bought some beautiful yarn that would look good in this stitch but only have a certain amount yardage wise.
This is a gorgeous stitch! I am a new beginner and want to make a good sized shawl. Will you please tell me how many chain stitches I should start with and approximately how many skeins of yarn would I need. Thank you very much!
Please explain how to get this to lay flat ? I’ve ripped it out until I’ve frayed the yarn. I skipped the center set of V stitches on the short end in round 2 but by round 6 it’s all wavy. Short ends are much wider than center of long edges ? Help!
mine didn't lay flat either so i adjusted the pattern and so far so good. I didnt skip the middle stitch in round 2 and instead I am only putting in 1 v stitch in the corners every 2nd or so rounds - when it looks like it wants to ripple
I got lost on the last corner when you changed colors. You said to slip stitch in the top of the chain, then slip stitch in the chain one space. After that do you just do the v stitch without a chain or anything to start the next round?
My niece and great nephew will have another baby blanket to keep their babies cozy👶👶🥰😍. Both my niece AND her son's gf are expecting😍. He and his gf are having a boy; but my niece hasn't had her gender reveal yet😕.
I used Stylecraft Special DK in shades: Apricot, Candy Floss, Lemon, Wisteria and Sherbet. They also do a pale green in that range too but the one I’m using in the video is Stylecraft Wondersoft DK in shade Mint 🌈
hi I love your work and easy to follow patterns but please I'm stuck with this one. you show how to change colours but when I am trying to do this in one colour I'm getting really confused. when I come round to the start and try to carry on it's going all wrong and I don't know why can you explain it. when I'm coming round to first round and slip stitch and continue its all out of sync. thanks
I was having trouble with that as well, but I did it a couple times and figured it out. Let me see if I can explain what she said and what I did. Once you slip stitch into the top of the beginning ch 2, find the middle (ch 1 sp) of the next cluster. Slip stitch into it then ch 2, then do a dc, ch 1, then finish the other half of the cluster as before. Hope this helps.
I like the pattern but thought it was very confusing on how to continue on with one color and not change color each row. Would've appreciated seeing how to do it, not just hearing quickly how to do it.
Hey Marilyn, find Clare Jessops comment. I put how I did this with one color. I had to do it a couple times to get it to look right. But finally figured it out. If I knew how to copy my comment and paste it here I would.
I'm an experienced crocheter but this video on the corners went to fast. I had to watch it 3 times to figure it out. And most of the time her fingers were in the way and I couldn't see what it looked like. Love this patter but I won't watch anymore of her videos if she is going to go through them this way. Very poor explanation in my opinion.

You answered my question right off. Am doing a granny throw for BFF. I like the yarn so much I bought more of it to make myself something. I think this pattern will be it.

Sounds wonderful 🥰
So lovely!! Thanks dear
Lovely, thankyou.
This is a beautiful pattern and it looks very easy. This is going to be my next project. They you for doing this video and you are so easy to follow when you are demonstrating a pattern. Once again thank you
Question - if using only one color, do we need to turn the work over, like a granny square, to keep it from “twisting”?
Great tutorial love this stitch😊😊
Very pretty stitch Rebekah I loved it the first time round ,shame about the mistake thank you for doing a full remake of the video you are so thorough and thoughtful 😊Amanda xx💖💕🌸
Thank you Amanda! I had to put it right! 🥰🌸
Ty ty 4 the tutorial 💓
No problem 😊 thank you 🌸
Wow !! this is super duper gorgeous Rebekah 🤩 love how is works up cant wait to try this pattern Thanx for posting 🥰
Thanks so much! Really happy you like the look of it 🌸😊
Beautiful stitching. I also want to express my absolute love for the hooks that I bought from your channel. They have made my crochet experience more enjoyable as if anything could 😍

I Love This! I wanted to do a rectangle but really dislike the "granny". This is PERFECT! Thank you, I love your channel!
Thanks so much! ☺️

Question : Do I need to turn my work to keep project from looking wonky like squares that are not turned?? Beautiful pattern

This a beautiful pattern
I am just wondering whether you have this in a square starting in the centre
You have such amazing and beautiful patterns🩷🧡💛
Mine not staying in the shape that it meant to be rectangle
Nor mine. Its wider at the ends than if you measure it across in the middle

Same! Did you find a solution?
My blanket isn't laying flat. It is lifting at beginning of long edges. What am I doing wrong?
mine didn't lay flat either so i adjusted the pattern and so far so good. I didnt skip the middle stitch in round 2 and instead I am only putting in 1 v stitch in the corners every 2nd or so rounds - when it looks like it wants to ripple
Can this be made as a square blanket? Please
Can you tell me plz, if I wanted to make a shawl, how many stitches would you suggest I start with?
Love the pattern but mine doesn’t lay flat !
What kind of border would you suggest
Hi what a fab tutorial. Can I ask what yarn you have used please
I have used a mixture of Stylecraft Special DK in shades Lemon, candy floss, apricot, wisteria and sherbet and then Stylecraft Wondersoft in Mint. 🌈
I got lost on the last corner when you changed colors. You said to slip stitch in the top of the chain, then slip stitch in the chain one space. After that do you just do the v stitch without a chain or anything to start the next round?
How would you start this to make a square blanket? Thanks.
My niece and great nephew will have another baby blanket to keep their babies cozy👶👶🥰😍. Both my niece AND her son's gf are expecting😍. He and his gf are having a boy; but my niece hasn't had her gender reveal yet😕.
Please list the yarn you used as well as the colors. I haven't been able to find them in Florida/USA and I really love the colors.
I used Stylecraft Special DK in shades:
Apricot, Candy Floss, Lemon, Wisteria and Sherbet. They also do a pale green in that range too but the one I’m using in the video is Stylecraft Wondersoft DK in shade Mint 🌈
your videos are beautiful and very well illustrated. could you add written subtitles to your instructions for those who can not hear.
hi I love your work and easy to follow patterns but please I'm stuck with this one. you show how to change colours but when I am trying to do this in one colour I'm getting really confused. when I come round to the start and try to carry on it's going all wrong and I don't know why can you explain it. when I'm coming round to first round and slip stitch and continue its all out of sync. thanks

Have you got a written pattern for this please Thank you
Would you put a border on this
Or has anyone put a border
could I get the written pattern for follow
We're can we get the pdf pattern
Please LH this tutorial
Like several people on hear this rippled for me and didn't lie flat.
I'm new to crochet. I find it hard getting used to the terminology of the different stitches. Your patterns are beautiful 😍 but you go to fast lol 😆
You can always slow down the speed of the video if I’m going a little too fast ☺️🌸
I like the pattern but thought it was very confusing on how to continue on with one color and not change color each row. Would've appreciated seeing how to do it, not just hearing quickly how to do it.
I also would like to see how to continue with one color.
Hey Marilyn, find Clare Jessops comment. I put how I did this with one color. I had to do it a couple times to get it to look right. But finally figured it out. If I knew how to copy my comment and paste it here I would.
That's not dc ?
