OMG, the foundation chain plus the first row of single crochet makes so much sense! It stabilizes the center and makes it easier to continue with the granny stitches. I'm so glad I found this video.

At 9:57 you say chain 3 for a corner but I thought it was always chain two for a corner. In the corner right before that you said chain 2 is why I’m confused

OMG WHERR HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE 😊😊😅😅 I was taught crochet as a child left it didnt pick it up again until my 20s thrn I had my babies and I had no time between work and family. Now I am a grandma and I managed to make each of my grandbabies a lil balnket when they were born but I didn't have a clue what tension, or the weight of the in yarn or a stitch marker. That was all Greek to me. Well tutorials have been my teachers and let's say I would probably get a c right about now if I graded myself BUT I am hopeful. I followed you along with the tutorial and on h my word I did it first try! WOO HOO HUGS❤. I am ready to start the next row but I am using a variegated yarn and now I am going to cut it so I can flip my piece cause I sure don't. want it crooked. 😊. So in case I have a melt down know that your a great teacher and I'm keep up the great work. I will be back as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say 😅 I know I am a nut a happy one though 😊

The first color you did a chain 2 to form your corner spaces. The second color you did a chain 2 forming that first corner but from then on you were using a chain 3 when making your corner spaces. So which should it be when making the corners: a chain 2 or a chain 3 ?

After getting brain fog from the cvid shot, I thought this a brilliant idea to get a few brain cells back. This should be second nature to me but I need to slow the speed of vid down to 75 and still pause, still rewind
It's that 3rd row corner and how to continue on that really has me stumped
The color change came too fast for me to see how those important corners are. I've never flipped a peice of work but I am going to try. Wish I could join you on FB but I'll never go back there for security reasons. hugs to you. 🫂 🤗
