Nice haul! I picked up a huge, healthy Alocasia Zebrina for $0.44 at a grocery store garden centre that was closing for the season. I live for clearance plants!
What a fun video! Would love to see an update video on some of the plants you have picked up from previous hauls. I think it would be fun to see how they have grown. Thanks!
For me, the variegated alocasia is beautiful, but, not for £200, they go dormant too easy and/or are too finicky for me aha. I'm not the biggest alocasia fan 😂 I am going to try them again one day... I would have picked up one of the variegated Hindu ropes, that was a great deal. Also, the two blue ceramic snowmen in goodwill were cute 😂
I have about twenty of those variegated Alocasias, all started from a three inch plant. They had 5 gallon pots packed full of them at Lowe's for $25 here a few years back.
I have 2 lizards that arrived running around my home, from ordering houseplants! I have had 1 for 2 years and 1 for almost a year! That alocasia was so perfect and breathtaking.....yikes....one day lets hope they are all cheaper! I hear you about bills and food cost! Things always work out but the roller coaster of squeezing bills and cost of living gets crazy sometimes! Great video going to keep watching! ♡ from MN
The smart people voted for President Trump, the dumb people voted for Joe Biden. Now the whole country is suffering because of Biden’s inflation, economy destroying, stock market tanking, and massive layoffs. The uninformed, uneducated, sheep voting for failure Joe Biden are why we can’t afford plants anymore.
I just picked up a zebrina from planterina. I had the sarian last year and loved it but it hadn't come back up yet from winter. I already have the frydek(green form) when I saw the sarian for sale I decided to buy them both for a collection since the sarian is a hybrid between the 2. My zebrina is teeny tiny compared to yours so I wasn't really sure if the zebrina was a small form. It's nice to know they do get bigger. I bout the zebrina, sarian and a goeldii for around $50.
@@LifewithAshleyAnita That lizard was so cute! Thank you for keeping him in the video so long. I used to love visiting my Dad in Florida because I'd see so many lizards everywhere. Not here in Massachusetts! lol
Hi Ashley, good to see you and the adorable Claire. So sorry Clair had to have eight teeth removed. Poor baby. Thank you for this video and yes, I would love to see a video on Alocasia care. Mine look pretty good but I would love to see them thrive. Looking forward to your Alocasia care and tips video, for sure! Love your Zebrina! She’s a beauty! Love the thrift shopping at our Goodwill. I would have picked up that pink and cream pot as well. So lovely. Also, thank you for the Lizard cameo in your video. Sooo cute.👌🪴🥰
I had forgotten how much I love your videos! I would love to see your experience with Alocasias. I owned 1 the Polly and I never got any more Alocasias because of the spider mite issue. Yes please tell me more! Thanks Ash🪴💚
Thank you ashley such stunning plants and the varigated alocasha is gorgeous just save up and get that for your plant room. Oh those variegated hindu rope Hoyas I would have bought all 4 of them I just love and need that plant for my collection. Clair will be fine ❤
I love your videos so much! I can't afford much and I learn so much from you about values of plants. Plus the thrifting! My favorite Goodwill store closed during Covid and never re-opened. It was so good and I miss it. No others are good around here so I envy you so much! And I love when you pick up cat things. I would have grabbed all the cat pieces you saw here. Anyway, you always put a smile on my face whether plant shopping or thrifting, so Thank You!.
Very nice nursery lots of gorgeous plants I hope your puppy feels better I’m sorry I forgot her name I’m older names don’t stick in my head lol thank you for taking us along
I love your videos. I love how excited you get when you find pretty things. Please keep in mind that some of your audience members are a little squeamish when it comes to creepy crawly things, so please don’t focus on them. TFS, AllisonLP
I lived in South Carolina and those little lizards are EVERYWHERE outside. It's real life there in North Carolina. She is from the Caribbean and she loves nature and wildlife. This is her channel and she can capture anything that brings a smile to her face. You may fast forward if it is not to your liking.
Not sure, but I think that variegated odora (or something that looked similar?) was being sold at Walmart for $148. I guess $200 isn't out of the question...
Ashley….have you ever done a video showing different pots you use for your different plants? I like the cache pots idea but not sure what size nursery pots to use in them.
Love the cool plant you got. The stems are so interesting. I probably would have picked up the variegated Hindu Rope. On the rare occasion I fine them here, they are that size or smaller for $30. Those were gorgeous 🥰
I hope your "alocasia how to" comes out quick.... I purchased a zebrina from my local big box shop 6ish months ago. it was doing great, new leaves looking gorgeous - until it wasn't. and now it is so close to death. 😭😭
I have a polka dot begonia. Its getting super tall but needs to be staked up. Is this how they grow? I mean is it going to reach the ceiling and need a stake? Lol Can i prune it? Thanks I would have bought that $4 blue mandala pot
I live in Massachusetts and have never been further south than New Jersey. It's actually shocking to me there are lizards just roaming around. I woulda thought someone lost their pet 😢. 😂
So many beautiful plants, I don't know if I would have been able to get out with just one LOL. I would be scared to spend 200 for one plant though, I would be too worried I would kill it.
It would be fun if when you are plant shopping and you see something wrong with a Plant if you would guesstimate what it might be because that’s what we do…it would be nice to have your opinion. :)) as we pick up our skills of plant care.
It's unbelievable what our police officers have to put up with. It truly is a thankless job. I'm so glad they are willing to do it. It's unfortunate that their hands are tied as far as being able to enforce the laws. So many charges dropped over and over again. Although I think this guy was looking for 3 hots and a cot.
So I'm here trying to figure out how to report that beltin bright aka beltine bright delicia on Facebook who is constantly and forever using your photos of your plants and yourself and I'm so sick of her being able to get away with this. Is there a way that I can actually report her by using your actual Facebook name or business name or business URL? It shows an option to report a URL but if I do your UA-cam channel you are l, it doesn't pop up in the reporting option. I really wish Facebook would be on top of these scammers

Thrifting! My favorite. I thrift all of my pots and prop vessels.

I found my variegated alocasia dawn at Walmart was $149 marked down to $37 on clearance 2 days ago.
Great find!

The variegated Alocasias are hitting local nurseries! They have them at the Raleigh Farmers Market for $89!
Omg! I am overdue for a Raleigh trip….
Wow! Pikes is such an amazing nursery. I wish they had some here in Florida. Maybe I need to do a road trip to Charlotte? 😊.
Let me know if you do! We will have to get together. ❤️
You can make a terrarium out of the wide glass vase. Great buy with the casserole dish. Love the zebrina.
Thank you!
Omg! Those holiday containers I would’ve totally put holiday cactuses in! It would help me keep them organized! Lol
Wow! That is so creative and brilliant!
They are Green Gaxaly Peru, just bought 2 in Largo Florida, one at Lowe’s and one at Home Depot. They are just so beautiful 💚🪴💚

They go dormant. They aren’t dead so don’t throw it out. The leaves die back for energy to put into their corms or bulbs. Kind of like daffodils.
@@chomama1628 Thank you! I had no idea, and totally would of tossed it. I will keep babying it and watch for signs of new life.

The red tall Asian bottle you should have gotten! Those can be worth money do your homework on them!
Thanks for letting me know!
Ashely I purchased mine from Etsy. Way cheaper. I bought it smaller and it’s already growing crazy.
Nice!
How do you keep track of what plants are dormant?
Just learn over time, most slow down growth in the winter and pick back up in the spring. Only a few get rid of all their leaves

Don't buy the alocasia. It's risky.
“Rare” means nothing. Half the plants on eBay from multiple vendors are “rare.”
$200 is way too much!!!!!!
