You don't pick up the ones I want to see...the bigger bushier ones..LOL Their prices are tooooo high. The cacti and succulents are 4.97 and 5.97 at Walmart. Now with price increase Walmart is charging 7.97 for some of the same ones they charged 3.97 for just 6 months ago!!!!!! Would love to go with you on your plant sightseeing..God bless ❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸
The Philodendrom Tortum was #1 on my wish list for over a year. I had seen a few while shopping but they were priced $80 to over $100. Then one day I went shopping and found one about the size as in this video for $28. I was so excited, I was shaking, my heart was pounding, people around got excited with me. It was one of my most fun plant shopping finds. It is a fast grower and has more than doubled sized in the few months I've had it.
I ❤ your enthusiasm. I get hyped up about plants, too. Can you imagine a bunch of us shopping together? So much fun. Look at this one! Wow! Is this a .......? Come here quick, I just found the dream plant! Oh a variegated.......! Should I get it? Puts it down only to pick it up again. Clearance plants! I ❤ plant shopping! Best therapy ever!
I have the Philodendron Summer Glory and may I say, a STUNNER! They grow so fast. I got it about 3 months ago and it’s already around 4ft in width! Worth the purchase for sure.
I live 20 minutes from Big Bloomers. It's my go-to nursery. I go there monthly, often more. They have really upped their game as far as rare plants in the past year. They also always have great prices. I'm glad you found it!
If you are having problems with getting your syngoniums turning pink let them get really dried out. Withhold the watering on them to every other watering day
I figured out why all my calatheas here in Colorado were getting dry tips. I was a bug infestation not from the dry climate here. As soon as I cut off every dried leaf and sprayed with neam oil they are doing great but you have to keep up with it
Hahaha i love how excited and gassed out you are all the time. Just shows the love for plants. You definitely need to do a part 2 and maybe 3 with all the beautiful plants. I would have loved to see more rhipsalis and hoyas or even more on the cactii. Loved the video though. Thanks!
starlight, is that what i found at Walmart...?? they were in that wooden pallet of plants for 5 dollars... the small i think 4" pots... they had 8 of them, and i took home two... i thought it was some kind of variegated batik, but it looks just like the one in your video... glad i picked them up...
The prices on some of those rare Syngoniums and Philodendrons were great! I would have come home with so many 😂 I bought that same lipstick plant labeled as "pink passion" from a big box store--I think it's the same as "Thai pink." Love the round leaves on it!
Our Home Depot and Lowe’s have gone from the 10-12” pots to 4” pots and kept the price at 20$ or higher. And we never have the sales that other parts of the country do
I have a HUGE Summer Glory that I got last year as a normal sized plant.... the leaves on them are now HUGE!! Easily my staple plant .... if there was a fire I would grab her .... and I have tons of more expensive rare plants .... even a thai constellation but the Summer Glory has given me so much unexpected joy .... She wasn't even a wish list plant when I found her. I just recognized the name from shopping on etsy for plants, and just felt this instant " I should get her" feeling. She is the first plant that I was able to grow massive leaves on. My leaves are as big as fully grown monstera leaves .... I don't know if I got lucky with good genetics, or she just happens to love the spot I have her in etc ...... I find it tricky getting my larger philodendrons (like silver sword, painted lady etc) to get fully developed gorgeous leaves ..... but It's been very effortless with my Summer Glory ..... now that I saw that philodendron autumn in your video ..... I got my eyes set on getting one lol.
What a fantastic store!! And I love the lipstick plant (Aeschynanthus radicals 'Thai Pink'), I've got one and it bloomed for the first time this last February. A fun one for sure!
I was out of breath right along with you. What a wonderful place. Awesome score you made. Wish you hadn’t run out off time for the Hoyas and cactus. I feel a return trip in the works 😂
I just moved to the area 2 weeks ago and after watching your video I went on Monday and nearly lost my mind!! I found an Obovata with 3 peduncles, one was in full bloom, one was maturing to bloom in maybe a week and the other was just a nub. I bought a few plants and had to leave some behind 😢 but I did find a leopard jade that I had to take home with me. Super cute and tall, it has 4 plants in the pot where some only had 2. I wish I could send you a photo of them. I can’t wait to go back!!! 🎉
I absolutely love your excitement ! Everything you freaked out about .. I did too ! I was just in Charlotte visiting my parents at Cypress and thoughtI saved enough time to visit Cactus Club before my flight home .. i could not find it ! 🥲 love your video’s!
Omg I used to live very close to Big Bloomers and I miss it so much I am watching this video in November 2024 just for nostalgia because I'm too far away to go there now 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
That’s also another great place south of Raleigh such an amazing place miss being able to go their I don’t have as many hood places to go like this and Raleigh farmers market now living in Florida. All your gasps when looking at plants you like is just so priceless to hear
I definitely would have picked some Hoya’s , Cacti, Succulents, Eurphobia Rhipsalis and Sanservia’s also where ever i go. Wine I usually drink rose, pinot types. I like white wine and rose only and prefer non dry wine ones.
❤❤❤,you crack me up when you get excited. My favorites were the euphorias and cactus... I would have been in the poor house.. Thus was an exciting trip. We have to go again❤❤❤
Love these videos❤ I got a tiny baby Tortem a year ago and it’s now about the size of those there, so probably doubled it’s size. I think it grows easily and each leaf sizes up quickly from the last for me. Mine has a little variegation on it too!
Thanks ashley nice haul I love the euphobia. I would have bought anything hoya especially variegated compacta and variegated kerrii then bella and polyneura. I know you would have done more if you were not rushed at the end so next time you must get there very early❤ love that nursery
I've gotten into carnivorous plants over the past few months. They are easy to grow and they eat all of the fungus gnats, fruit flies, and stray mosquitos that get in. I find mosquito bits to be a hassle and I have plants that need to stay evenly moist at all times. The carnivorous house plants and spiders that have come in on plants have kept the pest population under control.
I might have to stop here in the fall!!! We just lost our beautiful Shiba Inu 2 months ago to cancer😢. Our breeder is down south and we are planning on a fall puppy. I want one of each! ❤❤❤
My husband went to big Bro much today and picked up me a Monstera Thai constellation the price tag was healthy but I think it was totally worth it being by I wanted it
What a great video! I would have been so overwhelmed with all of it! Does Big Bloomers ship? Curious if the have an online shop. If not, they should!!! 💚💚💚
I loved all your pics, the Hoya is one I really want, those cute leaves. Last week i picked up a heart shaped lipstick plant that the tag was missing. It may be a thai pink or a pink passion. It is trailing cannot wait for the blooms. Great video, you definitely need to do a part 2. 😂
The amplissimum is GORGEOUS I am turning a planty green with envy haha. I love my regular silver stripe and I can only imagine how happy you're going to be with the variegated one❤ a little surprised you left the syngonium and aglaonema, I kinda see another trip there in your future😅 I wouldn't have been able to choose either, so much good stuff😊
Hey Ashley! I haven't finished the video so I'm not sure if you got it and also this video is months old, but I got a tortum yesterday for less than 20 at Walmart in one of those nice 6" self watering pots! Check there if you didn't get one this time!
Love the video. I have quite a few euphorbias all in Pon and they grow like MAD. Some of my fastest growing plants. And man are they thirsty. I would have bought the Tortum for sure.....and lost my breath while doing it
Good excuse to go back with new shipment...i would allow a good 4 hour stay there with that many interesting plants 🪴 😀 👍 😉 😄... Loved the really long 📹 🎥 video..wished i lived close enough to visit that wonderful planty place..NC really has some great nurseries.
Love love that lipstick plant and yes it does look like a hoya but I believe they may be easier to care for I don't know. I don't have any hoya's YET, ha! AND, if it's pink......that is certainly on my wishlist as well. That place is so amazing and you could virtually spend all day there looking at plants........wow! Wish I were closer :((
Hi Ashley, Enjoyed seeing all these beautiful plants! I would have picked up the Dieffenbachia Reflector for sure as well as the Lipstick plant you picked up. Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰
OMG them variegated lophophora look like williamsii... if they are, i would pick one up... extremely rare and new to the trade... hard to find here in my area, people in the huge cactus clubs always fight over them... LOL...
My top 3 ( the 1st pass through lol i am positive I will pick 3 -12 new each time I watch this video) the Lipstick Plant you got( best I could find on Google is Thai Pink ?) The Syngonium Star Lite & the Philo Tortum ( he has been on my wish list from the beginning over 3 years!) Ty for always sharung your positive, upbeat passionate you!! Cheers 🍷🪴💚
Sorry to hear that you got poison ivy. Did you get it from your own yard or while shopping in a plant store? Everyone needs to watch out for the bad plants that grow naturally and can occur in unexpected places. Shopping with you is fun and I don't spend any money. Of course, I see plants that I really want but rarely find in my area. Take care.

I am so glad I found your channel. I am in Burlington, NC! Now I have to plan a trip to Big Bloomers. :)
Thank u beautiful plant's 👍
I went there today and walked out $300 poorer but well worth it. It was only an hour and a half from where I live in NC.
I've gotten into carnivorous plants over the past few months. They are easy to grow and they eat all of the fungus gnats, fruit flies, and stray mosquitos that get in. Thanks so much! 😊

WOW! Big Bloomers is only 45 minutes from me.
Anyone know what that dark colored syngonium variety is between the Pink Splash and the Starlight? Thanks!
