Very nice review! Underrated in terms of amount of views.
Looking into these devices myself, one for mounting and the other one for .. well, somewhere in the living room, standing maybe, like you did with the custom stand. Would you still consider buying the Pro's or move on to the new U6 models? It's too bad the U6 Lite doesn't come with a PoE injector.
Thanks that’s very kind to say. I’d probably stick with the same for now as I have had zero issues and the stats I’ve been able to get from them have been really helpful at times.
2 questions.
1: what is the wifi range on these
2: do these replace the router you get from your service provider or work with thrn?
The range is huge dependent on the environment Scott is amazing and very funny. keep watching
Scott, these will destroy most of what is out there for range and stability... though thick walls are the enemy of 5G! Essentially it is always sensible to place an AP where people congregate if you want speed... this will be even more so with the new WiFi6 standard. These APs do not replace your provider router but there are plenty of models Ubiquity have that work in tandem with the APs (Other Scotty can review these next). Or I can suggest a good provider that will use a good router...I happen to know just a few :)
