I lived half my life in the US and half in east asia. While in east asia I ate rice probably twice a day on average. I lost weight when i moved there and have maintained that weight loss. Im sure a lot has to do with me being able to walk places rather than having to drive everywhere, but i wasn’t sedentary even when i was in the US. Last time i was back in the states, my brother criticized me for buying white rice saying how unhealthy it is. I ignored him. Maybe if you cover it in brown gravy and eat it with a whole plate of other food its bad, but eating it as the core of a meal with meat and veggies as side dishes seems to be the most positive sustainable meal plan I’ve used.

The fat content in rice is extremely low, nearly 80%% u90FD is starch. Every 100 grams of raw rice contains about 330 calories bai. This amount is basically equivalent to lean pork. However, rice will not be eaten dry, and more than 1.5 times of water must be added to each serving of rice.
After being cooked into rice, the calories per 100 grams of cooked rice are reduced to about 120 calories, which is only equivalent to the calories contained in one and a half apples. If rice is made into thick porridge, add 5-6 times water to a serving of rice, which contains lower calories. In contrast, the calories per 100 grams of steamed buns are around 210 calories, the staple food sweet bread is around 280 calories, and biscuits are as high as 450 calories. In other words, in terms of starch content, the same volume of rice has a higher moisture content, while the starch content is lower than that of steamed bread, bread and biscuits. It can be seen that unless fat-containing ingredients are added to the rice, such as fried rice, etc., under normal food intake, rice is not a fattening food, and rice porridge is a low-energy food.
The latest nutritional research also pointed out that the weight loss effect of eating less staple foods is difficult to maintain for a long time, and because of the lack of carbohydrates, it is easy to cause insufficient energy in the nervous system, memory loss, insomnia, hypoglycemia and other adverse reactions, and even bad temper. . The protein in rice can also help prevent hair loss, dull skin, and decreased resistance during weight loss. Even during weight control, 150 grams of staple food should be eaten every day to maintain normal physiological functions.
According to the theory of appetite control, people will feel full after eating and maintain a state of not wanting to continue eating for a period of time, which is called "satisfaction." Studies have confirmed that different foods have great differences in satiety. From a nutrient point of view, if people are given food with the same amount of energy, the food with the highest fat is the least likely to make people feel full, while food with high protein and fiber content is easy to make people feel full, and this satiety can Keep it for a long time; from the point of view of food taste, coarser or smoother foods tend to make people feel full, while fine and soft foods are not easy to bring satiety.

White rice has helped me lose 20lbs so far because:
    1. It takes 1 hour to cook white rice and 2 hours to cook brown rice.
    2. Brown rice tastes a bit nutty and can have hard bits in it that can annoy my mouth. White rice is easy to eat and flavor to your prefered taste.
    3. It is really filling. I feel satisfied with less if white rice is a part of my meal.
    4. Having white rice allows me to eat more raw veggies, because salads actually upset my stomach if I eat salads with raw veggies too much.
So, I eat white rice every day with raw veggies on top (spinach, diced tomatoes and chickpeas) for lunch. I get the enriched Walmart brand white rice and flavor it with salt and lemon juice. I love it :)

The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! Thing is I’m underage and a full time student i don’t have anyway to earn money much more so during this pandemic
I only get to eat what my family serve us
and I’m in Asia so white rice is basically an everyday thing
The only thing i can come up with to lose weight is to lessen my rice intake and be in a caloric deficit and workout as-well
I did try to ask for support but we don’t have that much money to spare
So eat what is served infront of us
    Any tips?

Just eat both, though there's absolutely nothing wrong with white rice. In fact, people with gut issues tolerate white rice much better than brown rice.

White basmati rice is significantly lower in arsenic then brown and is generally much easier to digest for those with gut issues! If you’re worried about insulin, just eat a moderate portion with some veggies (Fiber) and some protein/fats such as meat, fish, eggs, tofu (for example) and then maybe do a small walk afterwards… these all lower the insulin spike of a carbohydrate.

People in Asia, who eat white rice, never had any of our diabetes and heart disease until they started adopting our "Western" diets. Maybe we should listen instead of talk when it comes to food advice.
If you want to be healthy the very last people to listen to are Americans, Brits and Australians. Copy Okinawa as they apparently have the longest life expectancy.

I was about to ask this. nutritionfacts.org covers this topic very well and is backed by science. If you don't know where the rice came from, white rice is safer, since it will have a lot less arsenic than brown. Avoid rice grown in the South East part of the US.

The main problem with consuming white rice with weight loss in mind is that it gets digested very fast like in 40 min or so. This therefore makes one hungry later on in the day forcing to eat more. Another drawback to white rice consumption is the portion control. Since it is not that filling, you can it a lot unmindfully causing weight gain.

I mean... There is zero vital info in this video.
If you are making such claimes as is it healthy or not, do at least some research. You basically said nothing except weight loss or gain which has nothing to do what type of food you eat... You can eat sweets all day but if you are in caloric deficit - you will loose weight...
The health effect of food is determined by micro and macro nutritients content, the effect on digestive system and how the food should be prepared in order to minimize cons and boost pros of it.
Hope you will read and won't be angry at my criticism. I wish only the best for you. I would like to see more channel like yours but with more scientific insides.
