I think they are restocking the ps5 soon at best buy, walmart, amazon, b&h, and gamestop. That is where you can get a ps5, but you need to see when they restock it.

I was so stoked to get one, it came with a demo disc that I played through like 50 times lol. I think everybody did back in the day. The funny thing is that I still have that same system to this day, it's more of a sentimental thing than anything. I remember my mom got it for me, and she passed away almost 14 years ago now.

I was at my grandmother’s house and my dad went to his childhood room and grab a PS1 out of his closet. For some odd reason he gave it to me. Weirdly enough I remember knowing what it was without touching a video game ever but I “knew” what it was. I haven’t stopped gaming since then. From PS1 to the upcoming PS5, I’ve been a PlayStation fan since very first console. I like Nintendo as well but PlayStation always “felt like home” for me when it comes to gaming.
I remembered the time when I used to play PS1 with Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Syphon Filter, and Ace Combat 3 with my dad when I was 4. The best time there was, but it was burned in 2005 because of the accident. I can say is that PS1 is the best Console to me. PS2 was the Titan of my PS era, played Tekken 5, Burnout Revenge, Black, God Hand, God of Wars 1 and 2 and Burnout Dominator. Truly a wonderful memories with PlayStation. Thanks, Sony and GameSpot

This is a story many 90's kids share. I started with the NES, had the Game Boy and the Super Nintendo (all purchased by my parents) and then I bought a Playstation with my own money and never looked back. I got the PS2, the PS3 and the PS4.
Took me a long time to get a psone out of pure loyalty to Nintendo and waiting on the n64. After it got delayed AGAIN and after a friend of mine offered to sell his cheap with die hard trilogy, wipeout, ridge, destruction derby and a few great demo discs, I caved in and never regretted it! Still a great looking console imo
People need to understand that playstation is about nurturing and trusting the process..they pushed innovation in gaming with every next console and dared to dream..the ps5 is at the right place of a revolution because all that hard work and nurturing will show its fruits now which will pave the path to the next generation after the ps5 the true console that gaming in general has dreamt for !!!

Then when PS2 came out I really fell in love with playstation and I think the PS2 is one of the greatest console's ever made. I also love the playstation controller. I feel it's one of the best video game controller's ever. The playstation also has alot of great exclusive's as well.

Online play was free on PS3 and didn't require PS Plus, that was one of the main reasons I got it over a 360.

All I remember playing back then on my PS3 Slim was Haze, Modern Warfare, GTA 4, Minecraft, Rogue Warrior, and alot more.
Damn. PS Vita i love that portsble still own one till now. Hoping Sony could back to handheld again.
I will keep my ps4 as my collection, cant wait to play ps5.
just get ps4 disc that are free upgrade to ps5... so you can play both system.. when the ps5 hdd full you can still play them..

And they were losing money on it, it was just really expensive, it was an investment to make Blue-Ray disks the new format instead of HD DVD, Sony owns the BR disk patent.
Because of the Blu-ray drive, it cost ~$800 to make a PS3. At the time, Blu-ray drives alone cost hundreds of dollars. $600 was a very reasonable price for what the consumer got. The problem was people didn't realize they would have paid $800 had they bought an Xbox 360 and a separate Blu-ray drive.

Huge sucsses in 97, but I think Resident Evil and Tomb Raider were the games that made people want a PlayStation. They made people think... These games aren't just for kids anymore, thing is getting serious.

@@worawatsr9803 I Know, I'm not saying that. Just saying that before FF7, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider were the games that made people lookat the PlayStation. They were mature games, that coinceded with a growing audience in their teens. They really made people notice games as something that wasn't just for kids. Yeah, not even mentioning FF7 in the history of PS is a crime, I know!

Does anybody remember in which event did we, as gamers, first see the Playstation? Was it the European Computer Trade Show of 1994 in April or was there an earlier event?
I'm a playstation fan first but I'm also a fan of nintendo but I've alway's liked the playstation since the PS1. Then when PS2 came out I really fell in love with playstation and I think the PS2 is one of the greatest console's ever made. I also love the playstation controller. I feel it's one of the best video game controller's ever. The playstation also has alot of great exclusive's as well.
