Xbox is the future of gaming! Their business strategy is going to payoff, especially once Bethesda games take off. Ea access included with Gamepass is already phenomenal!
I'm something of a PlayStation fanboy despite starting on PS with the PS4, I got one four years ago, but I still have to respect Xbox's comeback once Phil Spencer made the scene. Funny how far ahead Xbox was with Kinect in that today so many players use voice assistants to control their systems even PS has a built-in mic on the gamepad. Not to mention the tech that powers Face ID in the iPhone is essentially a miniature Kinect.
Proud of the brand Xbox has become now. Even I don cop a SeriesX this year, 2021 wouldn’t pass me by. Would love to experience my first Xbox in the best generation they’ve had yet.
Woah, it's honestly pretty amazing how much they improved with the xbox 360, it was basically perfect for it's time. Like they did so many new things correctly in one big leap forward without the gradual improvements you usually see before something is done right. Well they did overhaul the console menus which were nowhere near as good as it ended up being later but close enough to perfect. But it was serviceable at the time considering there weren't really any other clear winners in that department. Although it feels like it's overstated how popular xbox live arcade was. Indies as we know them today weren't really much of a thing before meatboy, braid or fez's effects had some time to reach the public's consciousness. I mean I were on that shiz early and it definitely felt rare for other people to share any interest in purchasing downloadable unique bite sized games instead of the mainstream games you were used to seeing in stores and ads.
Got hooked on xbox not only because of Halo obviously, but once they got the GTA games it was a sell for me Best shooter in town was on it, then best open world series 🔥 Also Conker , Republic commando and Nonja Gaiden
Love my og xbox, and I still play it. But I hate the one fault of the controller. There's a common issue where the red cable would break after some stress. Not moving it too much. Just literally anything. Give it a few months, and the controller will have connection issues
I was a Xbox fanboy until I got my 3rd RROD and Australian stores told me it was not covered under my warranty on any of the 360's. Since then I ditched Xbox just stayed with PC gaming and bought Playstation only. I really miss the Halo series though, nothing can properly replace that FPS.
Noticed a mistake. It said Xbox 360 introduced gamer tags?? Gamertags started 3 years earlier with Xbox live. That was how you identified yourself on the service. I think you really underestimated the impact Xbox live had on the online ecosystem. Way off on that. Xbox 360 just made a lot of improvements to what was already there.
To give Microsoft credit, they have always been leaders in backwards compatibility. I can't think of any other OS where you can run a program made 30 years ago (for DOS or Windows 1.0) on their most recent OS. It's a really good move to support the last 3 generations on the new Xbox consoles. All people want to do is play their games, they don't want to worry about compatibility. Microsoft has the know-how to make that possible.

Halo is a goofy franchise. Fun to play, but H1 had a repetitive second half, 2 ended on a cliffhanger, 3 was sound, as were Reach and ODST, H4 had derivative multi-player and a decent story (Cortana good, Didact half-baked), and H5 had great multi-player and a campaign seriously lacking context (Cortana good, Locke bland). I'm betting Infinite will be conservatively designed and pretty good, with no daring attempts that made parts of H4 and H5 amazing and other parts rather bad. Hopefully the hype doesn't paralyze 343i.
I'll say it here.... Something I almost don't mention anymore not in any way ashamed of it just no one really mentions High School anymore seeing as I'm 31 now. But I Dropped Out Of High School, Sept. 20 2005 Because I got addicted to Halo 2 on Xbox Live. Ya. It's all I ever wanted to do and did for what seems like forever. I never went back to school, but self educated on many things. I was lucky enough to be birthed with enough Intelligence that by 23 or so I gained a real interest and bit of guilt in not knowing things I should know, which include how to actually form a sentence, with Punctuation which then leads to forming a Paragraph. But that's just an example of things I taught myself to make up for the lack of Education, in areas of my life where an issue kept arising. But I will Boldly Claim that I Would Do It All Again if I could. I could die at any fucking point... With this Virus going around... You better belief I would die happy knowing the things I did and didn't do in life were for the most part 100% my own... I'd die with a sense of freedom. All in all... Do what You Love, and Love what you do. Me today, I work and I still Love Halo and I'm still Good at it and I actually like every single game made so it's a series I still run all the way up to Halo 5.

The reason they made you buy the DVD play back kit was because early on it made the xbox 40 cheaper because dolby digital was trying to screw everyone for licensing
I started at the 360 only because they were the first to next gen. Sold my ps2 and all its games in 2006. I remember that day like it was yesterday.
The Xbox One X is my favorite console of all time. I got SO MUCH value out of it. Games looked fantastic on it and it doubled as a 4K Blu-ray player. With game pass and my backlog I *still* have games I haven’t even started and I’ve got the next gen console now.
14:15 Microsoft acquired Beam then renamed it to Mixer due to being unable to trademark the Beam name globally.
Xbox is the future of gaming! Their business strategy is going to payoff, especially once Bethesda games take off. Ea access included with Gamepass is already phenomenal!
Raymond but made in China lol , just like all of AMD and Nvidia graphic cards 😂
we're in a fucking redemption arch :D
I'm mostly a Playstation man but I remember the og Xbox and all the fun I had with halo and other games
I'm something of a PlayStation fanboy despite starting on PS with the PS4, I got one four years ago, but I still have to respect Xbox's comeback once Phil Spencer made the scene. It's like Mark Cerny responding to PS3 with the PS4's way simpler PS4 architecture and saving game development on the PS4, not repeating the PS3's mistake
Xbox is back, it was the best during the 360 era but the One X is a great system for the future.
one x had two of them.. if you just used sdd i towuld be faster than xss.... since they both can run well...
just a shame by the time x come out.. most dev alredy don't bothe try to work on xbox... since if they are end of cycle.. and bug still a issue.. base ps4 is what all dev are using a benchmark. while og one.. become some thing you hope it would work...
It’s been a wild ride. Been there since the beginning. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. Gaming is awesome 😎
6:05 "Further Cannapulting" 7:01 "Set a President" lol
DOA 3 ❤️️
They really should be making it backwards compatible on the new xbox.
I remember all of this OG gamer!!!!
I love Xbox! ☺️
Bullshit box
@@SornMolten-f2q I ain’t bullshiting, even though PlayStation got me started I’ll love Xbox till the day I die
0:12 that is till the best console power up
Kurt MVP
No you are
Steel Battalion/Mech Assault anyone? I remember playing Xbox live back in the day and those games were amazing.
I love this type of videos !!!
Me owning a PS5 but wanting to feel nostalgic for Xbox 👋🏽
Got hooked on xbox not only because of Halo obviously, but once they got the GTA games it was a sell for me
Best shooter in town was on it, then best open world series 🔥
Also Conker , Republic commando and Nonja Gaiden
gta4 i get it for ps3 since it run better but the other i play it on 360...
@@campkira yea I remember that, and now they’re saying SeriesX run that same game in 4k and auto HDR
Technology is crazy lol
Love my og xbox, and I still play it. But I hate the one fault of the controller. There's a common issue where the red cable would break after some stress. Not moving it too much. Just literally anything. Give it a few months, and the controller will have connection issues
Everybody can agree the Xbox 360 is the best xbox console ever
I agree with you
Nope. OG Xbox.
And I was there for all of it. 👍😎
Same lmao
Halo Infinite getting delayed has to be a big blow to the launch.
I still got the first xbox
The narrator speaking throughout the video, isn’t he from Gameranx?
As the narrator, I can say that it is not.
Kurt Indovina Ayyy. My bad bro, you sound just like Falcon from Gameranx.
Yeah he is
@@KurtIndovina bro imma subscribe to ur channel
@@Dodger_fan42 hey! I deeply appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to do that, sincerely
The Initiative also has Santa Monica studios ex-devs of the makers, God of War.
Your favorite halo was either halo 2 or halo 3. It just depends on which console you had.
I wonder why Microsoft never went with "Xbox 720".
I know just the other day I was watching a movie called real steel and they had huge XBOX 720 billboards in the backround im not sure why
I wonder why they didn't go with Xbox/ Xbox 480 > Xbox 720 > Xbox 1080 > Xbox 1080 Ultra > Xbox 2160
Good memories with xbox
Got my first xbox in 2002, was the first of my 6th grade class to get it, came with 2 sega games. Lasted a year because it had the unreliable thomson dvd drive
The Xboxhas become a household name, I used to prefer the Playstation, after giving the Xbox a test drive, I became impressed and ended up buying one.
Don destroyed xbox Phil saved xbox. I have witnessed every ride with xbox from 2001 until now
I wish I could afford any of these
getting my series x soon ( when its actually in f'ing stock)
I own both the Series S and Series X, One X, XB1 and original Xbox 🎮
Next year will be the 20th Anniversary of XBOX console on November 2021. Here's the XBOX timeline between 2001 and 2020 from the original XBOX to XBOX Series X:
XBOX (November 15th, 2001)
Xbox 360 (November 22nd, 2005)
Xbox 360 S (June 18th, 2010)
Xbox 360 E (June 10th, 2013)
Xbox One (November 22nd, 2013)
XBOX Series X and Series S (November 10th, 2020)
These are the Xbox consoles released dates from the US. XBOX Series X and S released worldwide last month on November 10th.
I’m proud to say I had all of them currently have the series X and it’s amazing but the first console I had a snotty nose but hey I still had it😂😂✌🏼
Halo went from being a respected and loved franchise to being Halo 4, how did they let this happen?
I’ve had em all. Ok damn I’ve had every console ps1
Even Wii U 🙃
