dave said in an interview recently that we have to have these kinds of concerts, not because we want to, but because we need to. they're good for the soul.
God, I’m damn tearing up!!!!! The Foos in concert are so damn energetic! I pray to God these guys get through this devastating loss and overcome their grief somehow, some day. I lost my stepson 10 years ago to the same thing that took Taylor. He knew we loved him so we keep the fun memories in our minds, not his unfortunate addiction. That does not define anyone!!!!!!! I hope Taylor finds Brent up there beyond the clouds! Be happy and live your life like it’s your last!!!!!
My favorite live band EVER. There's tons of stuff I'd rather listen to recorded, but no concert lives up to a FF concert. That energy, and just so fucking FUN!
I am a swim teacher in Thailand. I am currently teaching Swimming Online...through a computer screen. I have implemented Grohl's songs previously into motivation music (pre Covid). I recently used the clip of Nandi drumming for my Year 5 upper Primary kids (same age). The kids loved it. They got it. They danced on screen for swimming stretches. I received messages from parents who said its 'not my music but my kids loved your lesson' - mission accomplished. Salute.
There are just some songs they play that lend themselves to amazing drum fills by Taylor. This is one of them, ROPE is another, My Hero in Greece was also phenomenal! Love it!
Has anyone ever noticed the rhythm, tone, and beat of the lead guitar before Grohl begins to sing is very similar to the saxophone from "The Heat Is On" before Frey begins to sing.
Rest In Peace, Taylor. Thank you for gifting the world with your immense talent and love of music. Your presence will be forever missed. Much love and light to the band and his family.

ggthewhale I’d personally think that if you’re that “mainstream” it probably precludes you from being the “most important”. Importance is usually reserved for people who do something new and different and move their art form forward, not for people who just do what’s been done before very well. That’s “popular” or “successful” not “important”. Don’t get me wrong, I have huge respect for Dave Grohl and I’d consider myself a fan, but he’s far from the most important musician of the past decade let alone 25 years. He’s not even close to being in the frame for that one.
@@davidburke2132 he's not important just because everyone has heard his music.
