Great to hear that Foo Fighters turned your life around. This is a great song! Taylor will be missed. He felt like every FF fan’s friend. I remember him saying that when he joined FF, he was intimidated by being the drummer in a band where the best drummer in the world is the lead singer and guitarist. This song help me immensely. I was struck down a year this week . Paralysed unable to breathe without life support, had to learn how to breathe unaided, talk again, walk again , eat again. Guillain Barre Syndrome. I have since recovered about 95%. When your in agony painful nerve endings and massive muscle wastage and you have this playing when you are pushing through the pain barrier doing physio in a rehab hospital the words are so motivational. I never wanna die I was running through the fire, dancing on my grave and learning to walk and talk again . Thanks Dave you fuckin helped me man.
Love that this song helped you! I can honestly say that i have yet to hear Foo Fighters song that wasnt awesome. I could never say that about Nirvana tho. Its a shame that their best asset was constantly overlooked and in the back/behind the scenes, and its really shitty that it took Kurt Cobain to die for him to make his way. Btw, Have u seen the movie this music video is copying? Its great! Stars Michael Douglas and its called *Falling Down* That movie will put shit into perspective.
jessica beverley thanks for the reply. Yeah it’s always the way with a front man in a band that’s idolised like Kurt was. People wrongly assume the success is all down to the charismatic front man when actually it’s a team effort. Dave is special he’s developed something unique, the punchy tunes and his style of guitar playing are all strongly influenced by his drumming, and he was and still is a talented drummer. But Dave will agree it’s not all his doing , while he runs the show he has a lot of talented guys with him to make the Foo Fighters who they are. His drive and never give up attitude inspire me, like when he broke his leg and the band played on. Yes btw I have seen falling down twice. Michael Douglas is certainly having a bad day. Ha ha
I think he's half joking there, lol. Coldplay's early stuff is good. Yellow, Clocks, In My Place... all good songs. Then America got hold of them. Pish.

Dear sir. My wife and I saw you in GR Michigan in 2023. It was a great show. We have a 17 year old special needs daughter who is very challenged mentally. She will live under supervision all her life❤. Anyway, one night as she cuddled with me and my wife at bed time, I played this song to relive the memory of the concert we saw. She said, “Dad, play the boy again. I like this.” So, in her world, your the boy who plays a song that she like to hear at bedtime. I can’t help but think of the irony of the song and my daughter 🤷♂️. Thanks

Attending my first concert at Bamboozle in 2012 was a transformative experience, and Dave's words have stuck with me ever since. When he declared, "you don't need all these fancy lights and equipment, you can do this too, anyone can do this," it was like a revelation that transcended the performance itself. Dave's message was empowering, breaking down the barriers between the stage and the audience, inspiring a belief that creativity and passion are within everyone's reach. That moment became a catalyst for change in my life, sparking a newfound motivation to pursue my own artistic endeavors. The idea that anyone can create something meaningful, regardless of resources or background, is a powerful and liberating concept. Dave's words continue to resonate with me, serving as a constant reminder that the journey of self-expression is open to all, and that sometimes, all it takes is the courage to embrace one's creativity. The Bamboozle concert of 2012, with its memorable message, will forever be etched in my mind as a turning point and a source of inspiration.

@Elijah During one of the band’s tours, Dave fell off the stage accidentally and broke his leg. And for the rest of the tour he had to sit on a throne until he could walk again.
The Thor ending credits song... I was working on a Movie Teather by the time of the release of that movie, and i was the one doing the cleaning between showing's. The people just exit the room, and "Walk" was sounding very loud at the same time i was sweeping that sticky floor. 2011 Was sure a wild year for everyone.
You gotta love Dave. My first Foo Fighters concert, was a little short on cash at that time, had nosebleed tickets. Dave referred to the upper section as “sad motherfuckers” all night long. Dave truly has a great sense of humor - 😂 what a great memory! He’s a true Blue-Collar rock star.
I tried to take my life 3 times. When I woke up the third time, I was at a loss, I didn’t want to try to pick myself up again. Then I found this song. And I played it on repeat for the whole day, just screaming, “I never want to die, I’m on my knees, I never want to die.” When I hit rock bottom, this song helped me get the energy to get back up. If you’re reading this, maybe you understand how hopeless it feels when you have your cheek pressed to the rock bottom and how daunting it feels to try to find the energy to get back up

I hope and 🙏 pray things will get better for ya.....HENCE...prolly WHY we are all listening /watching this video, along with "Learn to Fly"...the Foos lyrics/videos come from the heart...keep yours beating my brotha, like Taylor's drums
In 2001 I was diagnosed with leukemia. Had a stem cell transplant(think bone marrow) from my sister in 2002. Without going into all the details I'll just say I ended up in a wheelchair with nerve damage in my feet and left hand. I still to this day cannot feel much below the ankle or move my feet. I have special orthotics that help me walk but I literally had to learn how to walk again and it was YEARS of physical therapy to get me there. My balance isn't great but I CAN walk again. I also used to tell people that I was too stubborn to die. This song came out in 2011 years after all of these happened to me and I know this isn't the case but it literally feels like these guys took my story and made a song about. I've heard this song hundreds of times but I still get chills every single time I hear Dave sing I'm never gonna die.
I’m so happy you’re here to tell your story. Let me tell you how similar our stories are. My little brother had a stem cell transplant at 43, diagnosed with Plasma Cell leukemia. Also, with Multiple myeloma. His spine was/is pretty much destroyed. He can walk, but it was HARD to come back. This song, I played daily as I left the hospital. I flew from Tennessee to California to be with him. For 3 months….. He’s still here too. Not only will I think of him, I will think of you every time this song plays. I hope you do well and have a beautiful life from here on out.
My Dad had myelofibrosis and went in for a stem cell transplant last year, unfortunately it didn't take and he passed away almost a year ago. He was the biggest Foo Fighters fan and I'm glad I got to see them with him a few years ago. I just wish he was still here. Well done for fighting it, I wish you all the best for what's to come!
I first heard this when I was 10. I'm hearing it for the first time in five years, and holy shit does it take me back. Back to no worries, when I would play with legos all day and make paper planes. When I had time to do what I wanted. I was weird as fuck but back then I didn't care. This song doesn't represent me, it just makes me wish I was 10 again.
When I tore my ACL, I had to learn how to walk again. It was long, hard, and painful but I got through that experience stronger than ever, and I'm even more grateful to be alive now.
The falling down vibes from this, without resorting to hurting people is awesome! Thanks for everything guys! People think it's OK to lash out at others and it's sh!t. Find yourself, remind yourself at your lowest what makes you happy and try to leave the world a better place! The golf cart was funny as!
why did I remember random clips of this music video from when it first came out, i.e. when I was 10 years old. Can't recall a single lyric but the random clips/scenes are as funny as today as they were back then!

Love this song. Love the acting.
Awesome to hear your recovery, there's always light in the tunnel, it's just how willing you are able to search for it.
VETTEL 0215 Thanks for the reply. Always face towards the sun and life’s shadows always fall behind you.
Its great! Stars Michael Douglas and its called *Falling Down*
That movie will put shit into perspective.
jessica beverley thanks for the reply. Ha ha
Sending you best wishes 💟
I was listening to Nirvana before this , you know when Dave was the drummer, and I swear he is the greatest musician I know.
yeah, then Kurt went on to play the drums in the Foo Fighters while Dave became the frontman :v

Oh, man. Just lost my job last month. Having a lot of extra time to listen to the music that raised me. This one right here hits today.

"Falling down" is a classic, and it's cute to see Dave Grohl mimicking Michael Douglas. Who hasn't had a though day like this? Rip Taylor.

This song hits hard thinking about Taylor. You can tell he poured his soul into every bit of music he played. May he rest in peace.

Thanks

This song sums me up right now 😢
Attending my first concert at Bamboozle in 2012 was a transformative experience, and Dave's words have stuck with me ever since.
Thank you for sharing this! I'll keep this in mind

I tried to take my life 3 times. When I woke up the third time, I was at a loss, I didn’t want to try to pick myself up again. Then I found this song. And I played it on repeat for the whole day, just screaming, “I never want to die, I’m on my knees, I never want to die.”
When I hit rock bottom, this song helped me get the energy to get back up. If you’re reading this, maybe you understand how hopeless it feels when you have your cheek pressed to the rock bottom and how daunting it feels to try to find the energy to get back up
I hope you are feeling better today ❤️

I flew from Tennessee to California to be with him. For 3 months….. He’s still here too. Not only will I think of him, I will think of you every time this song plays. I hope you do well and have a beautiful life from here on out.
