    When he shouts "Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, baby!!" I feel it like a full circle kinda moment. This is probably one of their most, if not the most, famous song when they were just beginning and now they're performing it in the Hall of Fame. Unbeliavable. Such a great song and such a great moment.

      Not the same guitar. His original is sitting in his house and doesn’t tour. The company stopped production of his guitar model I do believe. But he had a bunch specially made to resemble “Blue” so he could always tour with his favourite guitar. His dad originally bought him “Blue” before he passed away.

    I'm 63 years old and a little embarrassed to say I've only really just discovered Green Day although I've obviously known of their existence for some time. I just love their sound and they're taking me back to my teenage years when I was a massive fan of another well known punk rock group of that particular era called Blondie. Their immensely energetic but incredibly tight performances seem to radiate out and feed your rebellious musical soul and I haven't felt like this about a band for a long time.
    I'm definitely re-living my youth with Tre, Mike & Billie Joe. Long live Green Day.

    I saw them live in 1996 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Even back then I was probably among the older people :). The house was packed. I'd been to Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, REM, Pretenders, Van Halen... you name it. But I have always thought Green Day were right at the top as far as concerts go, even though I was not really a fan. I just took a girl out for a birthday :).
    Such a blast. They said it themselves they loved the show as well and I believe it still because it was such a good atmosphere. And they were sharp.

    • @RareHarmony
      @RareHarmony 4 роки тому +12

      (Not in Character) I saw Van Halen twice, and I saw Green Day in 2005. They put on one hell of an arena show, filled with fire (which you could really feel the heat) big spotlights which Billie Joe held by hand and pointed at the audience, and even invited people up on stage to play a couple of songs with their instruments. (I tried to go onstage because I play guitar but security held me back.) So even though I'm only 34, I definitely feel ya, for some old guys trying to look young, they put on a hell of a show.
