      @Young Reem he has done lots of experiments and David aside, AVP did show an alien whipping its acid blood at the predator. There is a video that shows the different variations of aliens depending on the host, so maybe the alien not only take on the host frame/build but also a bit of their intelligence.

      free diving is synonymous to relaxation, and calmness, because the more antsy you are underwater the more energy you expend, thus requiring oxygen and building up co2. aliens and sharks hunting you isn't exactly relaxing and calm.

    • @tobznoobs
      @tobznoobs 7 років тому +36

      I have to add, they say the distance is 90ft, or 27meters, its not how deep it is, its how long. they made 90ft too long, as an example, an Olympic pool is 50 meters long, and 25 meters wide. the width of the pool is almost already 90ft. I can swim 25 meters underwater in 40 seconds, they took almost 2 mins, but some had guns, but then the others in front don't, so they should've reached the alien breeding ground without getting caught, considering the movie says they do endurance underwater swim, but can't swim fast or efficiently enough to go 27meters or a width of an Olympic pool., better swimmers can go faster than what I can do., even teen swimmers or anyone competitive have tried to swim a length of a pool, or 50meters, you take half of that and its not very long, it only sounds long because they used a bigger number. 90 feet, if it was 90 feet deep though, that would be a different story. i guess i just have to suspend my disbelief.

    • @xxprototypexx5056

      It ain't that stupidly long. I was able to hold mine underwater for 5 minutes straight, and the only reason I got back to the surface was because someone pulled me up. So it's more than likely that I could have held it in for a longer duration. And the longest time someone held their breath underwater was 7 minutes straight.

    That moment when everyone sees a alien swim like its in its natural habitat.

    • @JR-ju3kj
      @JR-ju3kj 4 роки тому +27

      Lots of different species of animals that don't have water as their natural habitat can swim very well. Dogs,cats(though,they usually prefer not to)wolves,snakes(not counting water snakes,since obviously water would be a water snake's natural habitat), bears,sloths,tigers,elephants, hippopotamuses,there are even some birds that can dive and swim underwater and the list goes on.
      So it makes sense that the aliens as land animals,if you will, would still be able to swim and swim well,at that.
      What makes less sense is how all of the humans(outside of Ripley's clone and Call the android)survived for that long underwater.

      @@LifeOdysseyMotivation it's really weird that Disney now own all of foxes films, I often joke that the Micky mouse ears will soon be on the shoulders of the US troops, lol, I love the alien franchise though, when I was a kid my mam would let me watch alien up to the space jockey scene and then no further, lol, which only intrigued me more to know what was going to happen, each film in the franchise has something good to offer, alien with its mystery and aliens with the intense action, and I'm one of those rare people who actually loves alien 3. I think after aliens the correct thing to do was go back to one xenomorph instead of alot like aliens, that way the story is kept better I think, plus the dog alien is my favourite xeno design, it looks very cool to me, and actually had the largest kill count as one individual in the entire series, I really enjoyed Prometheus in the cinema in 2012, especially because Ridley Scott was at the helm, love his works, and I really love Covenant. When I first saw the trailer for covenant I thought I was going to be disappointed, but the film's deep philosophical ideas mixed with Ridley's direction is amazing to me, and I know alot don't get Covenant, but it's a film that makes u think, can't wait for Ridley's alien awakening to be released. Digital filmmaking has degraded, at that time we were just at the right time where traditional cinematographers were trained to work with film - but had access to digital filmmaking. All that extra skill and rigor really showed. We've somewhat degraded technically in filmmaking tech since then, but upped the creativity and television has gotten way better.
      But you're definitely seeing properly shot, in focus, well lit scenes. See movies in this era like Speed, Mission Impossible 1, T2 --- just gorgeously shot. 90's doesn't get enough credit for cinematography, it was a golden era of filmmaking.

      There is. They generally can't figure out a button. And press it. For one. That and she was terrified. She was the one who didn't want to go underwater to begin with and considering she's trailing from the start would have been because she was obviously not a strong swimmer. Bringing two guns down was dumb when you take that into consideration and ditching them both was even dumber but I guess when you are completely terrified you do stupid things. Everyone in the group sort of had someone to look out for them for some reason or another but she lost hers when Elgyn's curiosity got him killed. When he died her character became pretty redundant.
