one of the biggest flaws of modern debate is that it is Debate and not Conversation. I think in high schools (at least in America, I can't speak for other places) place way too much emphasis on Winning. I remember part of the learning experience included debating a side you don't necessarily agree with with the goal of winning, even if you didn't believe in it yourself. it's absurd.
@@frecklefreckles I completely agree. I personally saw a debate in my university and what I recognised was that the students in the debate tried too hard to win or at least, appear tough and decisive. Instead of achieving knowledge and understanding, they seemed more interested, or they were probably coached to focus on strategies such as finding the flaws of the opponents rather than understanding the different points of view.
ryanchampagne1 met students wear their white coats everywhere, it’s so funny but they should be proud, it’s not easy but you can tell they just wanna be asked, are you a doctor
I really wish everyone could stop feeling the pressure to look young. Aging doesn't make people ugly in my opinion, like yes, some people might stop being attracted to you in the same way, but there is still beauty in wrinkles and grey hair.
@@whatisgacha8188 I honestly think everyone has their own beauty. Not everyone can be considered attracted by everyone, but everyone is beautiful in some way. Instead of looking in the mirror and think about what you don't like in your looks, try to look into the mirror and look for things you do like. Might sound silly but it works for a lot of people, and it can help with confidence, and confidence is one of the most attractive things. Also I know your comment was meant as a joke but I can't help myself 😩 I just want everyone to love themselves💕
@@yihaw149 it is very likely that I'll dislike the wrikles and grey hair but I also think my mindset about this is pretty set. Not everyone hates getting old and maybe I'll be one of those who don't really care.
Thank you! All this nonsense of people using cosmetic surgery as an attempt at "eternal youth and beauty," as though any measure they take will actually be permanent, really gives me a headache. I know it's the culture we live in and all, but shouldn't we all be able to love each other and ourselves as we are? Beauty "standards" are just trends, same as what clothes or music are cool.
Ikr. But I think she thought that she would get mad at her for saying it was easier for her to love her body because she was good looking because that makes it sound like she's invalidating her mental health. (Sorry if I typed that weird I'm not that good at getting my point across in text form)
Body dysmorphia is a real mental disorder that need to be addressed more. Many people who go through great lengths and countless painful procedures to change their appearance may have it. It may not be a deformity but it is a mental health issue that people rarely talk about. Everyone likes to judge people for getting surgery but no one ever ask why they're that way to begin with.
One of my teachers from middle school told us he hated his job and literally did little to nothing in class he just gave us computers and told us to go ham lmfao
The thing however, is that the teachers have no say in changing the school system whatsoever. that’s the school system and state law who can change school itself. So doing this middle ground situation with teachers and students wouldn’t make any sense mainly because most teachers agree that the school system is whacky and bad but are in it because they love teaching and want to educate, alongside the factor of money.
i wish the conversation could shift from "everyone is beautiful and nobody is born ugly" to "sometimes you're just ugly and that doesn't make you less worthy of love and respect". telling someone who is insecure about their appearance that they're beautiful does absolutely nothing to help them overcome that, because the focus stays on appearance rather than their qualities as a person. if we could just take the power away from our external qualities and shift it towards the internal, i think everyone would be more relaxed. i don't always have to "look my best" i just have to enjoy life. go camping every once in a while with no mirrors anywhere, you'll be surprised to see how much better you think of yourself when you're not constantly reminded of your appearance or the pressure to look a certain way. it's kind of a pipe dream but oh well
Yea but unfortunately in this world, people like physically attractive people more, being physically beautiful comes with alot of benefits. Also its a biologically ingrained thing as well, humans prefer attractive people more than ugly people :/
You hit the nail on the head. For me this mindset helps immensely get over feeling shitty about the way I look. For others it might not be the right mindset. It’s so individual what both helps us and hinders is. Not black and white at all.
I somehow understand, aging means time is running up, means death comes closer. It is scary. Of course filling your lips and lifting your face doesn't stop that process. but if it makes them feel better let them do so
@@sosoki638 Well in your comment it says that ageing means closer to death. Even tho it's true you need to consider the amounts of car crashes, heart attacks, murders etc. there are. So in alot of cases age doesn't matter, it's all just luck.
Freja Havn false, that is the case because humans have evolved to believe in oneself until death, depression is the exception. Furthermore what we think is beautiful is evolution. Large glutes look good, because the glutes are used in running and everyday tasks, indicating athleticism. A big jaw for males indicates high testosterone. Muscles generally are attractive, but when a male is too muscular, your brain is designed to fear them, as you believe they are stronger than you. The irony.. People get plastic surgery to "preserve" the way they look, but they end up looking exactly like every other person who has had plastic surgery; and NOT themselves.
I love when I meet people who are honest but manage to keep respect for one another. Nowadays, it’s likely that honesty can turn into bullying, you know? Opinions are shut down often and this channel really helps everyone understand everyone’s perspective.
Daniel Feds I full heartedly agree. Vitiligo is just such a beautiful condition. Like when she first walked in I was like wow. What a beautiful and unique person.

And i have lots of things that do not match this toxic beauty standard . But i love myself. I am just 15 and i have mastered the art of self love and i always propogate this. Many people call me ugly or buffalo everyday but it doesn't matter anymore because i love myself. All that matters is my opinion and i accept myself. I hope that all the people start loving themselves and do not have to go through mental and physical torture to mach themselves with the beauty standard. Thanks for reading. Ty Guy I mean, Nicole Kidman is in her fifties but she looks beautiful (and not lizardlike at all btw), I think she probably had cosmetic surgery done; anything that makes you feel beautiful you should do.
I feel like the pro surgery people were using outlier examples of traumatic deformities instead of actually talking about the fact that most people get plastic surgery for frivolous reasons
They even say it before that a lot of women come in so that they’re husband stays with them 👁instead of maybe relying on themselves for support and getting a better husband?
@VKRGFAN where did you get that from? That is not true. Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a specific diagnosis that you are nowhere near qualified to blanket over such a large group of people.
Yeah but you can argue basically the same thing about people who are pro-choice for abortions, most of their arguments are that women get raped or get put into difficult situations when most abortions are basically just birth control. A lot of debates are like this.
How ironic people in the comment section are talking about how everyone should learn to love themselves and complaining about society being judgemental, yet mock and insult Nicole for her appearance despite the fact that she loves herself
Stephen Driller Knight I strongly believe that she would have looked better than she does now. So many people like Nicola go over the top and end up looking very unnatural.
People aren't born insecure. Society and media force people to constantly compare themselves to others. The only reason people don't like something about themselves is because they have been conditioned to believe that someone else's is better. we are all unique and should appreciate looking like individuals. the most beautiful thing about you is that you are uniquely you. own it. love it. natural beauty all the way
Not really. I have insecurities, but not because i want to look like somebody else, but because somebody said something about me was weird. Maybe its because i’m male and not female.
That's not really true. Once you see people around you that are different you'll start to question your own features. That's human nature. We usually condition ourselves to believe that something is beautiful while society's standards can influence you. There is also the biological factor of us usually (naturally) picking "mates" that are both physically attractive to us and healthy looking. We've been comparing ourselves to each other before there were beauty standards or the media. We'll always think that someone else's features are better. The most beautiful people in the world still would want to change something about themselves physically.
Patrick Richardson fxck them for making you feel that way. but if you loved and accepted yourself truly and fully, nothing anyone else had to say would be able to change that. you being a male doesn't make your insecurity less valid. i just hope you find a way to work through it, and appreciate all your "weirdness" ❤️
lolev Just because it doesn’t affect us doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to care. That’s like saying “Why do you care that they beat their kids it’s THEIR kid.” Or “Why do you care that they are injuring themself, it’s THEIR body.” People are going to care when something isn’t good for someone.
It's how you feel. If I want to make my face look like Mark Zuckerberg's alternate lizard identity, why should I be judged for it? I'm not even kidding. But if it becomes a stressful fixation to impress anyone but yourself, I would advise that person to stop because I don't want to see others unhappy.
Nicole is dead wrong... that mentality just reduces us to accessories. We are more than just our appearance. Sure younger me was a bit hotter but current me is far more accomplished, wiser and confident. I would not go back to my 20s
Agreed. Besides, maturity has its own appeal - the wisdom and confidence that comes with experience is so much sexier to me than physical appearance. Most people associate young=hot, but a lot of people actually get MORE attractive as they age.
It is not just to be beautiful. Some ppl get triggered to see their face older. And this affects their productivity. Please don't forget some people really care about their appearances.
i hate the plastic look. i think there’s something so beautiful about human naturalness. but to each their own. no judgement here- just a personal hot take 💕
I for one find beauty in the plastic, and in the fillers. I absolutely adore it. I would never get it myself, nor do I think that is perfection, I just really appreciate both sides
I agree 100% usually people who undergo plastic surgery look similar not exactly identical but really similar looking features. But when it comes to natural beauty, diverse features stand out more and that's not a bad thing either.
There are a few reasons that I understand cosmetic surgery-mostly for corrective reasons or reconstruction . But at the end of the day, people should have their own choices, but for me personally, I don’t get it. But! If I got in a major car crash and it made me unrecognizable, then sure-I would probably be likely do get adjustments. I thought that the abuse story was a good example of what I was saying.
The main point is to accept your self and how you look rather than get plastic surgery purely for cosmetics which is obviously different than correctional surgeries which are essential for feeling normal.
Ryan Ramsay I totally get where you’re coming from. This is so much of gray area to me-I think it is very easy to see the reasoning for either side. I definitely believe there can be a level of excess though too.
Ryan Ramsay I completely agree with you! I think it is also important as much as possible to gauge what the motivation is. For example, is it evil step sisters or step mothers are shaming someone (metaphorically speaking) or is it a genuine feeling that is not coming from the shame of people who really don’t give a crap. I think that is where I would make the distinction.
Joe Mannix I have friends that stay up til 3 doing non stop homework. I got more panic attacks freshman year than I did my entire life. School has also heavily worsened my girlfriends anxiety and depression.
I don't really like the inclusion of things such as cleft palate surgery, excess skin removal surgery etc in the cosmetic surgery debate because I think it changes the topic of the debate completely. There's a clear difference between cosmetic surgery procedures like I've mentioned and people getting lip fillers/bum lifts/botox etc. In ways things such as cleft lip repairment are to make people look more like the 'average person' whereas things like lip fillers etc are trying to make someone 'more attractive'.
IN MY OPINION: Natural beauty side: they have learnt how to appreciate themselves, and how to be themselves, love themselves Cosmetic beauty side: they take an extra step to loving themselves. they take action to make themselves more “perfect” under their own eyes. they are working towards self-love both groups are valid. the only people who aren’t valid are the people who encourage the “no cosmetic surgery = not pretty” concept. Both groups have self-love, and self-love is key
Striving for perfection doesn't come from a place of self-love. It's the people who never feel good enough who are trying to achieve perfection. A person who truly loves themselves and their body wouldn't risk the medical risks of getting cosmetics surgery, just to look better (temporary). Trust me, when you truly love yourself you don't care about society's beauty standards anymore. That's when you take action you live your best life, being your best self, giving value to society and stop caring about superficial things like beauty or other's opinions.
It's actually cuz of society. A 10 y/o kid doesn't looks at the cosmetic industry and goes "oh there's this and that wrong with me" it's usually the adults that bring us down and tell us what we should be insecure about.
@@puthypicasso640 The beauty industry sets the standard, though, by influencing public opinion. Those adults grew up on certain messages fed by the beauty industry.

@TheAielMaiden Totally. I don't remember seeing East Asian surgeries trying to push youth into a 60 year old woman's face. I thought double lids, skin whitening, and nose jobs were their thing.
I would never advocate for cosmetic surgery, but I advocate for choice. Women shouldn’t be shamed for changing their beauty with cosmetic surgery if it is empowering or helps them have confidence. It’s their face and body, so their choice.
The problem about it beeing very well accepted is, that the beauty standards rise with more people doing cosmetic surgery. That will let the natural people feel more pressured to do some cosmetic improvement to keep up with now higher beauty standards, because they now feel below average and see that their friends with cosmetic surgery get more attention and compliments etc
How is it empowering for us women to follow patriarchal beauty standards? I understand the thought process of wanting every woman to choose freely, but in this case, is it really a free choice? We are conditioned to hate ourselves and pursue an ideal standard just to please the male gaze. Thinking that we want it instead of acknowledging that the origin of those feeling is not our choice, but product of the brainwash we've gone through, doesn't help us :(
And we all live once , it's okay to get some cosmetic surgeries if you're unhappy with your appearance. Why only the beautiful people get to enjoy life?
Bitter Pineapple this is my point. It’s still a women’s choice whether or not she will get plastic surgery. It becomes a problem when she does it because she feels it will help her be “enough” or fit the idealized and unrealistic standard. If she does it for her own self-confidence, or for reasons such as recovering from being an abuse victim, then there is nothing wrong. I agree with you that the beauty and cosmetics industry sets an unrealistic standard but not everyone feels the same way as you. Some genuinely wants cosmetic surgery to find their own sense of confidence. We should respect their choices.
They either lie keeping that "I am beautiful no matter what" attitude up or have convinced themselves so much that they really do not perceive it as a problem anymore. Hypothetical questions like this should always prompt to say that there could be improvement here and there. Because there is always room for betterment. It is one thing to go mad about how badly you want to be different than you are, that would be one extremum. But then being 100% absolutely cool with yourself even when asked a relatively innocent question shows that you are on the other extremum of the problem - probably assesing yourself inadequately. And not being real can lead to many unpleasant things. Such as some commentator bashing you for that.

Women have way more and experience much much more pressure to look desirable than men. It's worth focussing on them for a conversation. Not everything has to involve men, it's important to recognise that this affects way way more women and that sexism in society plays a huge role in this. particular issue.
@@frejahavn1307 Theres more pressure on women to look good for sure but when ugly men live a depressed life people are more likely to make fun of them than support them and question how masculine they are so dont forget that
@@frejahavn1307 But wouldn't that be somewhat of a cyclical sexism? Sure women are pressured to look beautiful and I agree but it's usually by other women because women value themselves based on looks. Sometimes complementing a woman can be seen as creepy or harrassment ( which is a big topic in today's society) so idk how its men who pressure women to look better when there are guy giving compliments to women every second of the day. Either way its cyclical because wealthy men want beautiful women, beautiful women want wealthy men and so it's a cycle. No woman that tries hard to look beautiful would settle for a man that doesn't even have a car. If this weren't true every girl would be with those cat callers that live in the streets. That's the goal in the end. Women want a man who can take care of them so they try to attract as many men as possible in an attempt to get wealthy men in the mix. Men work hard to build their financial status to then be able to be considered by a good looking woman and then it goes from there.
@@frejahavn1307 Yeah, it's the same argument as: bc my disease is worse or more dangerous than yours, you shouldn't complain in front of me bc thats unpolite or whatever. The fact that u have it a lil bit worse does't invalid my problems or the way I feel. Women have SO much help in terms of this, if a woman is insecure she will hardly be laughed at by her friends, or discouraged, or made fun of, she will be told to know her worth, etc. I'm a male and have been going in and out of anorexia for many years now, and the thing is that i never rly had anyone to share my feelings with or tell them about it, bc men are expected to be strong, to not show feelings, which leads to uncountable mental health issues that NO woman has to go through, bc they are expected and encouraged to share their feelings, no one will ever tell a woman: woman up, dont be a baby, you are weak, etc. I live in Spain and about 40% of anorexics are guys/men: we are expected to me slimmer and more muscular so we cut many calories, maybe without noticing, as a metter of fact there are more anorexic men than the ones in the statistics, but since they are not teache to understand their feelings but to keep and rejects them they dont see it as a disease or that they need help, its just a little diet plan or a big sacrifice they gotta endure to be appealable, and as we dont have any kind of support onto understanding our feelinggs bc of social pressure, we don't know we have anorexia, I didnt for a long time, my state of mind was, i wanna stay slim, I aint gonna eat bc if i do, and i end up gaining weight, i am nothing, just as i when i was a kid with obesity and i was beta in school everyday bc of it. Men also get plastic surgery, no woman is laughed at for using facial creams, having make up, etc. I was bullied as a kid for using body lotion and called f***ot, homo, etc, which on top of it all was bc i have atopic skin and i have to do that even if i dont want to. Also, this happened meawhile a girl in my clas, a LESBIAN that came out at the age of 12, was the most popular in high school while i was being harrasses and beat at. Why? Because no one gives a f*ck about men's feelings or sexuality, if u get out of the standard of "manly", u are done for, which doesnt happen to most women in the modern world in developed countries since if u get out of what is "feminine" u are empowered, brave, confident, a role model, etc. Not to talk about the fact that almost all women make fun of men when they share their feelings, or call them pushy, they call a man sexist for wanting a shorter girl but they have no problem in turning a guy down for being too short, etc. Like, i am 5'7", and have been turned down by girls bc of being "too short", so where does that leave me? an average guy who has to cut most of his pants bc society expects me to be at least 6' tall, or to have big wide shoulders (which i dont have either), to be muscular/thin. Have most women seen men's mannequins? Bc sometimes i think most havent. Also, it is not an universal thing because its SO different from country to country or to culture to culture: someone in the USA wont have to endure what i have to endure in SPain, or i wont have to endure what someone in Pakistan does. The thing is that yeah, women obviously have it worse, but the fact that their pains are worse doesnt invalidate my state of mind or how i feel, and i hate when people like u say things like that, its a big discouragement to say that my problems dont deserve the same coverage as yours. Btw: "not everything has to involve men" is a very hipocrytical statement since by only focusing on women, you are making to men what u dont want to be done to women, and as ive said before, women have the easiest access to mental institutions, family and friends that any man in the world does, just look it up on google or even ask a close friend how often they talk about ho they feel with other men and then ask a girl, u wont be surprised. Also, the video is "Naturl Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery: middle wround", they actively decided to not put men in the pic which i dont think is ok tbh. Sorry if i came off harsh i didnt intend to, just wanted to expand a lil bit on the subject! Btw if ur photo is what i think it is and is Lice Madness Returns, u rock i love that game
Freja Havn i find often that women are judging other women so much more than any man has judged another man or woman. i feel more comfortable around other men than women because with men i could laugh off an insecurity and they’ll laugh with me or defend myself FOR me.
The woman with the plumped lips is perpetuating the idea that you need to change to keep a certain status or maintain something. Having a shallow idea of beauty keeps everyone from progressing. You can most definitely be happy on the inside and out with a cleft lip. That was a terrible argument in my opinion.
Ikr! Also, saying that women with rich husbands wanna look good so that the husband wouldn't leave them for a younger wife?! Wtf! I would rather have my husband love me whether we are rich or poor with how I look like and I know he would. Attraction isn't always all about physical beauty.
Would love a part 2 that goes into men’s body image issues, since women aren’t the only ones who get plastic surgery or feel the need to change how they look.
Cosmetic surgery for natural reasons such as cleft lips are completely different to someone wanting bigger lips to impress society edit - just learned that repairing defects is called RECONSTRUCTIVE surgery, that shouldn't be compared to cosmetic surgery to change a normal body part @Trisha Yamada
@@jjeannie9783 people usually say that but the harsh truth is most of the times it's because of societies beauty standards, yes you want to enhance your lips a certain way for yourself but you were conditioned to belive that that's the way beautiful lips look like
Imaan F those aren’t cosmetic surgeries. Cosmetic surgeries take a normal body part and change it. Reconstructive surgery REPAIRS a defect. My daughter did not have cosmetic surgery to fix her birth defect, she had reconstructive surgery.
Not a single man in there who talks about his insecurities in regard to the way he looks. That's really sad because those men also exist. In this, it looks as if beauty is a women's problem only.
In the end, when the girl in 11:01 said that she found herself beautiful for what she does and how she make other people feel great, I TOTALLY AGREE! THIS IS REAL BEAUTY!
If your afraid of becoming the “2nd wife” because your wealthy husband might go off and find someone younger or “hotter” than you then I think the issue isn’t trying to get plastic surgery to compete, it’s the relationship...also you should not be competing with young girls when your middle aged. Everyone gets old and aging is beautiful. I’m not against plastic surgery but getting it in order to compete with a group you don’t even belong to doesn’t seem like a good idea at all
The sad truth is that wealthy men have all the options in the world. And if a girl married into that kind of wealth it would be kinda hard to go back imo. I'd likely do whatever I could to keep that position. It's really messed up...but that's kinda just how things are sadly. They could leave and find someone who loved them for who they are. But that person may not be as wealthy or as desirable as the men who have the option to get a new younger wife on a whim.
Elijah Martin I’m not like that. As a female I’d rather keep my integrity instead of sell myself for some rich guy who doesn’t love me. Also, I plan on supporting myself I don’t ever want to depend on someone else financially
Canadian teens vs. American teens? Sometimes I feel like we’re very similar but other times I’m very confused with Americans... it would be super interesting!
"I can't get a boyfriend" That says everything. No matter how people keep saying "look doesn't matter", 95% of people don't really believe that. Plus, the way we are bombarded by standardized beauty doesn't help.
I think there is nothing wrong with men or women liking attractive men or women. Everyone has they're 'types' and it is completely natural for us to be attracted to the healthiest people. While I as a boy have been bullied for being week, and have had girls say I am too week, I cannot stand here and say you have to love me cos all sizes or whatever cos everyone is attracted to different types, although naturally we are attracted to healthy people. This is because in nature you want the healthiest Male or female to mate with to get the healthiest baby. Nothing you can do. Nothing wrong with people liking people a certain way. As long as they dont force it on someone. The world will not function if no one has types or is attracted to certain people.
@@mvrdermeharder Except that everyone is attractive in some way. As a guy, of course I have "a type" I love but I find 8/10 of the women I see attractive in some way. People are just too damn picky nowadays.
This really shouldn’t be an argument. It’s really just personal choice. If you want surgery, go ahead. Want to look natural? Sure! Yes the industry can exploit people and can be toxic but most industries can. You should accept yourself, but if you want to get plastic surgery to make that acceptance easier then go ahead. We should be working to break down why people feel insecure about themselves to the point where they feel this is necessary if they don’t really want to get surgery. It’s a big thing that we need to look and act and be a certain way, so we should be focusing on that before fighting an industry that allows people to accept themselves (usually), like when they help reconstruct people who were in accidents or to help with confidence.
Amaequiaas Corner I’m saying that they got surgery probably because they didn’t like how they looked or because someone probably pointed out what they saw as flaws...if you’re telling them they don’t look good who’s to say you didn’t just open the same can of worms and cause them to get surgery AGAIN they obviously think they look fine the way that they are now
I don't see anything wrong with getting plastic surgery or going natural. Not everyone has the privilege of being born into the a body they love and that's okay. People also don't have to get surgery to be beautiful because they already are. You can do whatever you want 💕

natural beauty people don’t think that people who want cosmetic surgery shouldn’t get them, they just want them to acknowledge of their natural beauty. no one ever said people shouldn’t get plastic surgery but ok

She’s not ugly at all; she just looks incredibly uncanny which is why so many people are put off by her appearance. Kinda like the human ken doll. It’s her body and if she likes how she looks then all the power to her. But if she’s one of those types that are addicted to getting plastic surgery then she may need help. Contrary to popular belief being supportive is NOT always the right thing to do.
Cosmetic surgery is not just for people who want to change something. There are people who need it. So to put the entire industry under the same roof is a bit weird to me.
Please don't take this as disrespect.. but I'd honestly like to know : Who 'needs' cosmetic surgery? Please tell me. I've never heard of such a bold statement. And it makes no sense. I really like how in this debate it’s so even like usually it’s so aggressive and argumentative but this is just so genuine and just a conversation and they understand each other and aren’t just stuck in their own opinions
You know what I realized I love about these videos? There’s no pressure to draw a final conclusion. It’s just discussion.
one of the biggest flaws of modern debate is that it is Debate and not Conversation.
Except for the vaccine one. Functioning people will draw the correct conclusion within 30 seconds of the video

Henny Bal Lector it still isn’t one..I don’t like my nose but i would never compare that to someone that actually has a deformity.
I feel like there should be a middle ground for teachers/educators and students just for their outlook on the education system.
Or home educators (please not the lowest of the low, there are great examples) and teachers.
Eff, yea😊😋
One of my teachers from middle school told us he hated his job and literally did little to nothing in class he just gave us computers and told us to go ham lmfao
It would be cool to see a public school vs private school one!

There are biological explanations for many beauty traits.
Yeah. No small children hate themselves or their looks until they've been told they're wrong.

Poems you look to amazing an natural you are the real chocolate

Correctional surgeries are a must
Ryan Ramsay I totally get where you’re coming from.

Natural beauty side: they have learnt how to appreciate themselves, and how to be themselves, love themselves
Cosmetic beauty side: they take an extra step to loving themselves. they take action to make themselves more “perfect” under their own eyes. they are working towards self-love
both groups are valid. the only people who aren’t valid are the people who encourage the “no cosmetic surgery = not pretty” concept.

When I first saw the title I was angry but after watching the video it kind of makes sense why some people would be pro cosmetic surgery
I can understand it but their after faces are not making me more enthusistic when it comes to useing it to try and maintain a "youthful" appearance.
@TheAielMaiden Totally. I don't remember seeing East Asian surgeries trying to push youth into a 60 year old woman's face. I thought double lids, skin whitening, and nose jobs were their thing.
it’s not really “pro cosmetic surgery” it’s more just let people do what they want if it makes them feel more confident and happy.
I think that's why these videos are made - not to change our minds, but to help us understand how other people think!
@@TNDCBaby they also do jaw shavings, and leg lengthening
I would never advocate for cosmetic surgery, but I advocate for choice. Women shouldn’t be shamed for changing their beauty with cosmetic surgery if it is empowering or helps them have confidence. It’s their face and body, so their choice.
i was looking for a comment like this, at the end of the day its the persons own personal choice of what they want to do to their body.
Tanesha didn’t even think about walking forward when they asked if they wish they could change their appearance.
That’s beautiful.
@@БагердзюцуБаныка i dont agree with you. I do have a lot of insecurities but I actually don't want to change them because I firmly believe there is a reason why everyone has the body and face they're given.

I wish they mentioned men that have insecurities as well :/
Women have way more and experience much much more pressure to look desirable than men. It's worth focussing on them for a conversation. Not everything has to involve men, it's important to recognise that this affects way way more women and that sexism in society plays a huge role in this. particular issue.
@@frejahavn1307 Theres more pressure on women to look good for sure but when ugly men live a depressed life people are more likely to make fun of them than support them and question how masculine they are so dont forget that
@@frejahavn1307
But wouldn't that be somewhat of a cyclical sexism?

Would love a part 2 that goes into men’s body image issues, since women aren’t the only ones who get plastic surgery or feel the need to change how they look.

Do you believe liking big breasts or muscle is a social construct?
It ends up as "i cant get an attractive boyfriend"
I think there is nothing wrong with men or women liking attractive men or women. Everyone has they're 'types' and it is completely natural for us to be attracted to the healthiest people. While I as a boy have been bullied for being week, and have had girls say I am too week, I cannot stand here and say you have to love me cos all sizes or whatever cos everyone is attracted to different types, although naturally we are attracted to healthy people.
This is because in nature you want the healthiest Male or female to mate with to get the healthiest baby. Nothing you can do. Nothing wrong with people liking people a certain way.

If you need to lose weight you could, you know, use the legit way? And the way that you wrote it didnt suggered people were judging you, rather suggesting ways to make yourself look better, help you
@@BigGainer98 Yes and no. Eating disorders are very deadly, and many people die losing weight. If you're too short or too tall, at least people don't look at you as a lazy slob because of it. Nobody tells you that it's your own fault you're short, and you should get tall or die trying. You know?
society sucks
Society does not care about anyone but we think everyone around is judging.

I'm so happy they did this topic. It shows the stigma on both sides of wearing makeup/wanting surgery and not wearing wearing makeup/wanting surgery which is such a huge problem for people's self esteem on the choices of *their* body
Can there be a part 2 of this?
Maybe with more male representation or different age groups etc
Really dope conversation
Was just thinking this
Thought that one lady was Steven Tyler at first
omg 😂
I'm wheezing 🤣🤣
And Courtney cox
They all start to look the same
Hahaha I was actually just gonna comment that
The blonde woman on the side of natural beauty is absolutely gorgeous holy crap!😍
She's really average looking to me, but to each their own.
Nader Abed , I’m sure you’re average looking......
Rabi Ali they weren’t being rude, she’s just not their type, simple
Momo yaoyorozu just because someone have a type doesn’t mean that different looking people are not beautiful and i think we should all see the beauty in everyone, but ok it’s just me, we are all different
Everyone has their own opinion tbh
I've never felt ugly or needed plastic surgery in my entire 24 years. I feel that I'm so pretty and there are people who'd make fun of me because I feel like that, but I feel so pretty and I love my face and body and I don't care what others say or think
If you're reading this , better believe that You're beautiful the way you are❤
Kung-Fu Kenny Family thanks bro, no homo
Thanks bro. But I'm real ugly tbh.
@@Tr4sh_can34 Lies. You're a sexy gun slinging kitten.
@@niandraladie2953 nope just ugly. But thanks. I dont have any self esteem issues and such. Just stating facts. Very kind of you to say that to me.
@where is my soy milk thanks bro. Warms my heart
i agree with both sides but i love how obvious who's on what side
i think the faces of the cosmetic surgery ladies is enough of an argument against cosmetic surgery
The thing about cosmetic surgery is that in most cases you're noticing it only when it's a bad cosmetic surgery
pan banan yeah but the thing is one of the woman is a plastic surgeon. If she looks terrible than what do her clients look like she must make them look worse
I think two of them couldn’t talk or enunciate properly anymore. I don’t know if it was veneers or the lip collagen that did it.
I think it’s a little biased because I actually know a lot of people that have had plastic surgery and it isn’t noticeable.... the people they chose are people who overdid plastic surgery. I think small or one or two procedures is not too bad if they try to go for a more natural look. These people clearly didn’t.
yeah when she said, Ill get a face lift when the time is right I was like " you havent already had 5?"
If a man leaves you or cheats on you he didn't love you in the first place.
💯
idk about leaves you
It's not that he never loved you, it couls be, but it could also be that he didn't love or respect you enough. I don't really know which is worse.
I really like how in this debate it’s so even like usually it’s so aggressive and argumentative but this is just so genuine and just a conversation and they understand each other and aren’t just stuck in their own opinions
