Yup...wish I had that 15 minutes of my life back....first of all, those “more expensive” spacers are the same cast as you would buy off eBay, in fact they probably have a wholesale contract with an eBayer! They just stuck some stickers they made on there and some rubber caps on top of the studs and jacked up the price...in reality, hubcentric wheel spacers are designed for the front axle of a truck...the front wheels are the only wheels on knuckles that turn...and they are piloted by the hubs firstly and lugs secondly....the rear wheel doesn’t matter, as it doesn’t turn so there is no lateral torque against them...the most important thing with spacers is to make sure they are torqued, torqued again, and torqued probably three times after that...I’ve used 1/2” flange nuts as spacers on aluminum rims and 35s and they worked fine!!!it was actually more expensive to buy all that hardware than four 1/2” rings!! So I hope someone finds this helpful rather than listening to this kid who’s driving around a truck worth more than most people’s houses and doesn’t have the know-how to install his own spacers...sorry just can’t stand cheap chevys buttoned up to look nice....Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Techniques...CHEVROLET!!
When you use a hub-centric spacer, the hub acts as a pilot which helps carry the load of the wheel. If you don't use a hub-centric spacer, then the only thing you're relying on to hold your wheels radially are the lugs. Also you're relying on the taper of the lug nuts to "center" your wheel, and there's no guarantee those tapers are machined concentrically. In machine building, the motors we use - whether stepper or servo, has a pilot on its base, similar to the hub on the axle, which fits snugly to a machined base. In this way, when the the motor is bolted to the base, the stresses on the bolts are limited to only shear, and they don't absorb much torsional stress.
i get quite a laugh when these kids driving around in heavy duty diesel trucks costing upwards of 75k or more and they tow or haul nothing, but rather a status of parents income
Is it a requirement when owning a diesel truck you must have a trailer on at all times? if you are not using your parents income you're using the bank. only difference is interest rate. thinking before speaking is a handy skill...
J Fike def sound like you’re hating bro lol it’s all about the look... that’s like telling someone don’t buy a hellcat or Ferrari if they aren’t gonna drive fast or don’t buy boots if you aren’t gonna do construction work lol it’s all about what you like
I got my wheel adapters from BORA, i dont really recall any nicks/scratches but one of them did not wanna slid onto the hub on the rear. But this truck is a 99 z-71 with 240k miles, so i blame the hub really on that. They packaging was decent but minimum i think, but wheel adapters are HEAVY so they get banged up in shipping is y there always like that.
I got boras , I received them in perfect condition they came well packaged. So far I got them on with a 6 inch lift and they've held up really good no problems and I of road my truck pretty good..
i Accidentally jumped my single cab 1999 chevy s10 off sone train tracks with 2.5” spacers in rear and 2.75” spacers in front and they where fine. felt like i was 3-4 ft in air with lowering kit on. truck came off the ground Immediately and made everything inside the truck fly around.. laned flat rode away with no problems. using same spacer on my new v6 s10 and it does great
I have hub centric spacers from US Wheel Adapters. I called in the measurements and they custom make them. Flawless finish, nice people. It did take a few weeks but I didn’t want any short cuts. My Fuel wheel mates to the spacer.
Burnt Tofu did you get lug centric or hub centric? I ordered some but lug centric for my duramax debating to send them back and get hub centric or just stay with lug centric
mine came off of ebay and they were hub centric, it helps to center the wheel, the lugs won't help with centering the wheels not one bit. i've had them now on my jeep for a few years with no problems art all.
$300 for wheel spacers for a full sized truck is extremely cheap. For that price you can file down a little dent. The ones I run are $700 steel spacers because I use my truck as a truck.
They were 2 inch spacers ? I can’t believe how much of a difference 2 makes . They actually looked bigger then that . I’m thinking about putting spacers on my truck . It looked pretty easy to do
I bought aftermarket wheels for my car and I’ve noticed a lot of balancing issues, I’m using hub centric rings with them because it’s required, but I’m wondering if maybe wheel spacers will help with the balancing issues...
Rough Country is the largest lift company in the world and they're products are made in America. Don't believe the hype of other companies that want better profit margins. I've never had a single problem with any of their products. TRUTH BOMB!!!! ;)
quick question?? why buy spacers instead of just buying a wider rim if you want it to poke out. ijs This is my first lifted truck. just wanna know. what are the pros and cons of spacers. Holla back.!
with GM trucks, front sticks out more in the front. most lift kits push the front even more. it makes it more noticeable. With that being said, having spacers in the back matches the front
Yes all their full size trucks and SUVs have it. Come from factory that way. It's for off-road since you have better traction with having your rear wheels not directly follow front wheels threw the same "used" terrain
Everybody that orders from bora is about a 2-4 week wait to receive them because they’re made to order basically. They’re not held in stock. Also even though you bought lug centric wheels you can get a hub spacer that goes into the back of the week and mounts on your hub which would make it hub centric. Just my two cents but
why do this strictly for look and not what that truck is going to perform like after the install, all you say is i like the look of this and i like the look of that, people who have trucks for look are just not practical or live at home with mom and dad.
"This just in"! T6 6061 aluminum is t6 6061 aluminum, grade 8 hardened steel studs are grade 8 hardened steel studs, from eBay or a puff puff pass well known brand name retainer just turning a bigger profit off your naivety, fanboyism and faith in a sticker.
I would complain about the nicks on the spacers, but only because spacers are so overpriced to begin with. $300+ for 4 blocks of aluminum, they are making a killing on these they can afford to send another set.
I have a 08 1500 Sierra. I wanna got with the 7-9 McGaughys lift and UCA with the Add a leaf and Rear Hanger kit.. But I’ve been looking at the Rough Country CoilOvers 7.5 lift kit. And information and or help you can give me. Highly appreciate it I love your content
Those spacers on those wheels are ridiculous. Also illegal in many areas. You were better off without them. Forget about “cheap” just look at the material. T-6 6061 with grade 12.9 bolts. I don’t care what they cost. Yes, Hub centric ARE better. If YOUR aftermarket wheels aren’t made to fit properly, that’s on the wheel MFG. You shouldn’t need hub spacers with aftermarket wheels. Note to self: always check the comments before wasting my time watching the video...
Lol literally clicking away after I post this comment. Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah man. Thanks for the heads up. 👎🏾👎🏾
This clickbait. I was scared that I could have a problem like that if I put them on but no just clickbait!
Doing the same thing here myself lmao
Click bait..
Tell me about it
God damnit!
Precious time wasted of my life
Yes !
Yep
Yep Ross. Vid was a full-on waste of time, expecting some mommies little rich boy's truck to implode..but hey it reeled in over 100,000 of us.
Just buy hub centric rings. When you order wheels majority of them come with them
Yup...wish I had that 15 minutes of my life back....first of all, those “more expensive” spacers are the same cast as you would buy off eBay, in fact they probably have a wholesale contract with an eBayer! Not sure what you drive, but all manufacturers have recalls. And I have a few corvettes and they had some recalls, but so did dodge and Ford.
Very well put, friend! 🤙
Lexus then Toyota are the best cars and trucks in the world. If Lexus made a pick up I would get it.

That's well said. Another exple is this exactly why you don't use drill bits in an end mill. Always go hubcentric without question.
Not to mention hub centric rings take away any vibration the wheels make.
Yep, and that’s exactly how a wheel hub is designed to work. This idiot was looking for trouble!
I have 3inch wheel spacers from eBay no nicks or anything on my truck and no problems with mine had them for 3 years
That’s the answer I’m looking for. But have you toweled with them on. I want to buy some 2” spacers buys don’t want any problems while towing
Tanner Cooper how many miles have you put on them that’s the real question not how much time you’ve had them
Install em right lol
Nice pfp
Your my first dislike in 13 years of having my account
Lol!
Savage! 🤣🤣
What a waste of time
the honour was his
Oh no his life is over now
i get quite a laugh when these kids driving around in heavy duty diesel trucks costing upwards of 75k or more and they tow or haul nothing, but rather a status of parents income
Nobody’s fault your parents are broke. 😂
Is it a requirement when owning a diesel truck you must have a trailer on at all times? if you are not using your parents income you're using the bank. only difference is interest rate. thinking before speaking is a handy skill...
What if I told you they built it that way because they like the way it looks? It’s an insane concept I know.
J Fike yah the little pussies. Lol. You jealous bro? You sound jealous.
J Fike def sound like you’re hating bro lol it’s all about the look... that’s like telling someone don’t buy a hellcat or Ferrari if they aren’t gonna drive fast or don’t buy boots if you aren’t gonna do construction work lol it’s all about what you like
I don’t trust nobody with my spacer , one time the Mecanic didn’t ties the spacer ! So I always rotate my tires and retorque my spacer by myself
This is ebay wheel spacers with a fkn sticker on it
I got my wheel adapters from BORA, i dont really recall any nicks/scratches but one of them did not wanna slid onto the hub on the rear. But this truck is a 99 z-71 with 240k miles, so i blame the hub really on that. They packaging was decent but minimum i think, but wheel adapters are HEAVY so they get banged up in shipping is y there always like that.
Ive got an 03 Z71...mind sharing a pic of your truck if you still have it? I'd like to see what it looks like
I got boras , I received them in perfect condition they came well packaged. So far I got them on with a 6 inch lift and they've held up really good no problems and I of road my truck pretty good..
where I can buy boras wheel spacer 6holes ?
2 year update on the Bora wheel spacers? Any issues with offroad?
any issues after a couple years?
Any update?
I’ve been using my bora spacers for about 5 years now .
to get the wheel to rest on the hub get some hub centeric rings.
Don't use a impact on spacers..
Looked better before the wheel spacers.
i Accidentally jumped my single cab 1999 chevy s10 off sone train tracks with 2.5” spacers in rear and 2.75” spacers in front and they where fine. felt like i was 3-4 ft in air with lowering kit on. truck came off the ground Immediately and made everything inside the truck fly around.. laned flat rode away with no problems. using same spacer on my new v6 s10 and it does great
then again thats an s10 not a full sized truck 😂
@@HansZuerner918 and that’s also less wheel studs and a smaller spacer too
I used to run 2” spacers up front and 3” in the rear of my old Chevy and never had an issue
Was it just a pavement princess though ?
I have hub centric spacers from US Wheel Adapters. I called in the measurements and they custom make them. Flawless finish, nice people. It did take a few weeks but I didn’t want any short cuts. My Fuel wheel mates to the spacer.
Burnt Tofu did you get lug centric or hub centric? I ordered some but lug centric for my duramax debating to send them back and get hub centric or just stay with lug centric
2 inch rough country spacers came in flawless.
Where I live if your tires sticks out of the wheel you have to put fenders over it
Or mud flaps in some states or you can get pinched.
Mistake #1 ......didn't torque the spacer or wheel.....for gmc/chevy truck its 140 ft lbs.... you're welcome
I ordered from custom offsets 2in spacers and still have not gotten them and its been over 4 weeks. Thinking about doing an update about it on my page
i know this is late, but those spacers are MADE TO ORDER so it takes some time.
I hate the tires/rice sticking out so much like that 👎🏼... woot woot 🍾🇺🇸
DURAMAX ANGEL I do 👍 woot woot
I heard “Hub Centric” about 1000x more than I needed to
dude a tool box in the bed of that truck would look so dope lmao even if there is no use for it!
I like the extra bed space for when I need it
Lmao to go get groceries would be about it. You should get a sick headache rack though.
mine came off of ebay and they were hub centric, it helps to center the wheel, the lugs won't help with centering the wheels not one bit. i've had them now on my jeep for a few years with no problems art all.
Use Bora hub centric Each set is custome made for your truck They are the best
They're not custom made. They're made per order
No disrespect... but custom made is made per order. I'm sure you didn't mean to come across like a jerk but u did
Paint them rear calipers JW. Truck looks good boss.
definitely!
That’s a nice truck. Something tells me daddy bought it for you.
shut up nerd
Something tells me you’re jealous
No I would be embarrassed if I was you.
$300 for wheel spacers for a full sized truck is extremely cheap. For that price you can file down a little dent. The ones I run are $700 steel spacers because I use my truck as a truck.
What brand? I’ve had a hard time finding steel hub centric spacers.
wheel spacers
Hi all, Will the 25mm rear spacer and 20mm front spacer damage the wheels, suspension and bushing in the long run?
They were 2 inch spacers ? I can’t believe how much of a difference 2 makes . They actually looked bigger then that . I’m thinking about putting spacers on my truck . It looked pretty easy to do
That's what she said.
I got my bora spacers perfect condition no dings no scratches
so they just hate me
They must
I bought aftermarket wheels for my car and I’ve noticed a lot of balancing issues, I’m using hub centric rings with them because it’s required, but I’m wondering if maybe wheel spacers will help with the balancing issues...
Jay Ryan wheel spacers won't help with balancing your tires
It actually looks less good man.
Just a question. How come you didn't go with rough country wheel spacer again?. I don't want to wait a month either for some spacers
Whimpie back legs is what you did. There is no argument there, it’s blatant facts
idk Montoya the volume of the intro literally made me shat my pants with earphones in but i love the intro itself!
SURPRISE!
I just saw a teenage tacuache truck video before this and I thought that was the dumbest video I've seen. Boy did you prove me wrong.
Thanks!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rough Country is the largest lift company in the world and they're products are made in America. Don't believe the hype of other companies that want better profit margins. I've never had a single problem with any of their products. TRUTH BOMB!!!! ;)
The gayness of these two is off of the charts.
Thanks
If I recall, you did get your replacement spacer from Bora right? You even tried to give away the knicked one. At least thats what I remember
Rutttt Rowwww!?!?!?
nope! never got the replacement one. I talked about giving away the one with gauges. Good memory though!
Did you lock tight them and Re torque them after a few drives
Wouldn’t re-torqueing defeat the purpose of the loc tight?
quick question?? why buy spacers instead of just buying a wider rim if you want it to poke out. ijs This is my first lifted truck. just wanna know. what are the pros and cons of spacers. Holla back.!
with GM trucks, front sticks out more in the front. most lift kits push the front even more. it makes it more noticeable. With that being said, having spacers in the back matches the front
New set of wheels cost in the thousands, new set of tires cost over a thousand, spacers are a couple hundred.
That’s because you didn’t install a centric ring for those wheels 🤦♂️
Good god take those ugly wheel spacers off that looks awful!!!!
The back wheels being “whimpy” is called a bulldog stance and most chevys and gmcs naturally have it.
Yes all their full size trucks and SUVs have it. Come from factory that way. It's for off-road since you have better traction with having your rear wheels not directly follow front wheels threw the same "used" terrain

are u still able to drive-thru a bank atm drive-thru without rubbing?
Does it do that in the thumbnail cause of the control arms ?
Surprise there’s no JACK STANDS. I don’t have the 🏀 to do that
"This just in"! T6 6061 aluminum is t6 6061 aluminum, grade 8 hardened steel studs are grade 8 hardened steel studs, from eBay or a puff puff pass well known brand name retainer just turning a bigger profit off your naivety, fanboyism and faith in a sticker.
37” for a mall crawler, it will definitely get over them curbs.
Sure does
How does one change a flat tire on a lifted truck? Is there any jack stands that can lift a lifted truck?
Blocks of wood
Yes. High lift jacks.
Mine have nicks and scratches and they aren't cheap ones either
video title should be watch before buying a duramax lol
i don't use aluminum i used solid cast spacer
I would complain about the nicks on the spacers, but only because spacers are so overpriced to begin with. $300+ for 4 blocks of aluminum, they are making a killing on these they can afford to send another set.
I have a 08 1500 Sierra. I wanna got with the 7-9 McGaughys lift and UCA with the Add a leaf and Rear Hanger kit.. But I’ve been looking at the Rough Country CoilOvers 7.5 lift kit. And information and or help you can give me. Highly appreciate it I love your content
shoot, I have no idea about rough country coil over kit man! they seem pretty solid though
JW Montoya amazing thanks for reply 👍
Yea don’t think I’d use spacers with any flaws.
Luckily they're just nicks
Looks amazing. You possibly already answered this but is there a reason why you didn’t do a McGaughys lift on your 2500?
I'm going to soon!
Get the spacing you want to start.
EVERY wheel spacer is going to have nicks and scratches after 5 minutes off road.
Bora is not the only option for hub centric.
Who is going to be looking at your wheel spacers? So what if it has nicks or dings. They are going to be out of site
They wouldn’t sit flush
Not subbing, just passing by
Just use hub rings to make it fit your wheels and properly torquing a wheel on when it is off is absolutely bad
After market wheels do not fit on the ring of the wheel spacers since the diameter is different
i find up to 15mm spacers ok and dont cause too much extra stress on suspension
I friggin hate click bait. No subscribe button here
HUB CENTRIC HUB CENTRIC HUB CENTRIC HUB CENTRIC dude let go they ignored you just move on, you took it personal big-time
LUG CENTRIC
He learned a new word today: hub centric.
Is 30mm safer??
I'd never do this to my truck. No f way.
Yeah i helped my next door neighbor putting on the same wheel spacers you bought and it have huge cracks on his dually and they where dented.
I was hoping to see your tire break off. Should've known this video was made in china. Or made by china. Lmao
LOL you dumb af
Can't wait to see your rig on truck rice. Kachoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww
No sir...Not rice....it's Corn when its Merica!
What are you gonna do with the straight pipe? Axle dump? 👀
Just got some and zero nicks
you do need hub centric rings not spacer spacers are to stick out your tires mainly the hubcentric rings would of saved you all the drama and money.
Always torque your spacers
Noob mistake
Is there a place to get that dirty max mafia sticker at?
dirtymaxmafia.myshopify.com
I just got 2" hubcentrics there's no Mark's on them. Maybe some lazy idiot sent you used ones. I can definitely see that happening
They didn't Even put thread locker on😭
Is it me or is this kid just constantly repeating himself but more whinny everytime???
Probably just you 😝
Where did u get that duramax mafia sticker
where your order bora spacers....
I don’t get why people do this to their trucks unless they have fender flares to compensate for the space. It looks unnatural and stupid.
they can last a really long time it just depends on how you treat your tuck
I' would be upset as well, bro. That's your money.
Nice intro !! 👍
Thanks!!
Who's on first what's on second don't know who's on third
uk Ghost what are you asking me for?
Incoming the “eBay spacers are just as good” or “hub centric doesn’t do anything” comments
When I saw Johns truck in the intro :,(
how about hub centric rings
When You Gonna Straight Pipe It And Lift It?
Before Daytona
Can you do an update on these? Im curious
Dylan Alli they're still working just fine! Quality wheel spacers for sure
How long did they last?
Any parts you purchase should be perfect new condition with no nicks or scratches. This is what I hate about after market parts no quality control and customer service is a joke. Fuck those assholes and there shit quality parts...
Metal on metal equally scratches
They used a air gun instead of a torque wrench
