Good video, however for safety purposes don't rely on the floor jack to support your rig. Jack stands are a must! 👍

I've been wrenching on vehicles and bikes for about 40+ yrs now and always learn something new , but I was always told, DO NOT USE Antiseize on wheel studs.

@@Mr_Chode anti seize can be used on the mating surfaces. Between the wheels and rotors, never the studs.

I agree. I worked on drivetrains for 4.5 years before I eventually became an aerospace engineer in R&D, where I still build stuff. Anti seize is used when you don’t want rust (primarily) to “rust weld” your rotors or other bolts (or axle splines in the hub assembly) that you might have to take off later without having to use a torch or a lot of rust penetrating liquid.
The lug studs are not the same metal at the rotors or drums so they should never rust out stick to anything. If they are hard to remove is because people over tighten them. So it doesn’t make sense to use anti seize on the lug studs, where the lug nuts could come loose because of the anti seize and the heating and cooling of the metal. You want them to stay, so I would use thread locker on these BUT only because this application is a wheel spacer. But overall, really good video!

Not gonna lie the second you grabbed that bauer impact I was like. Yeah boss that ain't gonna get it. I've got the 1/2 impact and it will barely break my lugs free on my duramax with a full 5 amp battery. It's great for smaller stuff but I've got a 1/2 milwaukee for tough times. Now their driver/drill is a different ball game. She gets down, I choose it over my dewalt any day.

The 1/2” Milwaukee has made its way into my tool arsenal as well. Top tool, the versatility and power is unmatched. The bauer on the other hand, has lost a lot of power. Now it is only good for low torque applications.

Do not use wheel spacers. They KILLED my friends daughter. Back in 2010 she was driving on the QEW highway near Toronto Canada, the back tire of a pick-up truck came off and entered the oncoming traffic and killed my friends Daughter Megan instantally. The reason for the tire coming off was eventually traced back to the installation of a wheel spacer on the pick-up truck. Wheel spacers should be outlawed.

    lol
should have bought a milwaukee or rigid
for removing loosened nuts, a drill works too
and using the proper size socket helps too
wire cutters much easier than a screwdriver
lol if it comes from the factory its safe
wow you really need to get educated
