My son got me one of these for Christmas. Was playing around with it, and was really enjoying it without much effort. Decided to search on UA-cam, and here’s fluff demoing it. Thank you for the walk thru on the adjustments and everything!

I grabbed the Joyo Preamp House as my church amp & cab sim(no cabs allowed, DI only)......sounds good enough. I still like to keep my effects separate......I don't do menus.
If you own one of these and find maybe 4 or 5, say, "snapshots" of righteous rock or metal tone -- that is all you really need. You may not have all the versatility of the guy with the Axe FX 3 or Helix, but you definitely have tone you can show to the world without embarrassment. No one, and I mean absolutely no one is going to think you are cooler for playing a more expensive unit. As long as we got the tones, the writing and playing is all that matters.
Some of the tones sounded very processed. Or as you have said "Plastic-y". Some sounded pretty good. And with some time fine tuning the unit and the money you save it is a good investment. I can dig it. Well done sir!
Yep, literally the same thing. I bought Harley Benton one to do a review, and it was so bad, its sad that a lot of big youtubers will now promote as amazing budget stuff. Tried it out, couldn't even make a single proper good tone, and just returned it back. Deleted video I made, as it was so negative, and most of the Harley Benton worshipers would just slaughter me. Don't want to promote copy-cat / mass-clone produced stuff. Brings no value.
@@PetarMakesNoise I'm really fed up of these sponsored videos where youtubers are just straight up lying saying stuff sounds good because they are being paid by the company. This pedal sounds junk, it's garbage - same as they Benton one. It really needs to way WAY more clear that this isn't a 'review' it's an advert. Total advert and not going to give honest opinions on the gear.
Alright we reached the point where the same garbage music gear is being sold rebranded through multiple companies (Harley Benton and Flamma). Pretty sure they just asked Mooer for the software, the UI looks too similar. Sorry, but to me this has nothing to do with innovation or anything in the ballpark even. This is just the type of gadget you get ads for on instagram, entitled: "if you're a guitarist, you need this" or they are being sent to UA-camrs to sell them to the mass. Its purpose is to be impulse purchased, nothing more. Pass.
Right on point. Absolute crap, brings no value really. Everyone just wants a piece of modelers market cake, so they mass produce / copy this crap. I've bought Harley Benton one, thought to try it out, returned it after 2 days, as I couldn't make a single usable tone out of it. All hi gain amps sound the same, and have cocked wah sound to them.
Yeah, I've been wondering about all these identical models being produced and what the distinction is between them. I was curious about one because I kind of want a standalone piece of hardware instead of being tied to apps like bias and mooer like I'm currently using. Having had a zoom 505 back in the early 2000's I'm a bit skeptical of multi-effects presets lol
What's wrong with mass producing something? You act like mass production is an inherent negative. Beginning guitarists can get a good use out of this. Whats the point with starting on a first act guitar but having an axe fx as an amp right away? What sense would that make money wise? Snob ass musicians with no critical thinking ability beyond their own needs. Pass
What do you really expect with that price point? A Axe Fx? It is entry level modeller for beginners to get lot of different sounds and not for experienced musicians
I have an RP360 that is also about $150 that is similar sounding, maybe slightly less harsh, but doesn't have an expression pedal. If I start playing out again, I'll probably just use that rather than break my back with a 4x12
If you have the $$$$, get Helix or Boss, but if you're on a budget (or broke like me) or even just want to test this piece out, it's a very good multi-fx pedal for the price. it's same as mooer and HB. I like use it for practice with headphone, and it's great! Also, update firmware, and choose how you wanna connect to your amp, it's better with 4 cables method.
Dude, for $150 this thing is amazing. I don't understand all of the people complaining in the comments about it. The last time I was in a guitar center I could only find a few single effect-distortion pedals for less money. This thing does all of that with an expression pedal and the ability to import your own effects. Seriously I don't understand the hate at all. This is probably a must have for anyone on a budget.
I can't get past nested menu on any of these new units - I'm older so that could be the issue, but I want to look down at the unit and see the setting for everything and simply turn a few knobs/tweak sound and play again - tactile! There is a diminishing return point between playing and thinking for me, while others just love the tech.
I just picked up one from eBay for $50 plus reasonable postage… It’s less than some of my one pony pedals … Thank you for this video because I realize what a deal I just got in…
At what point did you realize your bare foot was in the video and said F it? On another note, I’ve been seeing these all over my Instagram feed and wondered how good it really was. Thanks for taking the time to make a review of this unit. Seems pretty decent for the price.
I have a Digitech RP360 that I enjoy somewhat. I'd have to hear them side by side to tell a difference. The RP360 lets you move things around in the chain, these all in one units are too cool not to have around.
I cant get my expression pedal to do anything other than control volume. I went to the settings for expression and turned vol option off and set the function to control something else and it still doesn't work. I tried keeping the volume setting on and setting the function and again, it's only volume that it controls.
can you use an additional external expression pedal on this? so that u can program the built-in one to always control the volume and the external one always control expression?
I bought one on a flook through Amazon. They have a generous return program. I will try it. NUX looks like they have a Klon of the same thing.-I tend to stay away from digital. Line 6 I don not like at all.
I've owned and tested, in multiple live situations, all of the different versions of this firmware build (for example, the Mooer GE150 is an exact clone, but with a plastic housing). They all would be outstanding units, were it not for a couple of fatal, deal-breaking flaws that I've had the displeasure of experiencing while in live use. So, yeah...NOT good. The first problem I encountered was that, randomly, on some but not all banks where you build your own preset, the modulation effect will reset itself to maximum level, no matter where you set it when you built the preset. Yeah,I know. Weird! And their support team didn't know how to fix it. Again (let's see if I can explain this better): if you set up a preset with a modulation effect (flanger, let's say), and you set the level to "5", and saved it, here's what might happen on some (butagain, not all) banks -- you'll turn off the unit, and then, when you turn it back on, the level on the flanger for that preset will reset itself to a level of "10". Have you ever hit a pedal in a live performance and had one of the values you thought you set to your preference be COMPLETELY out of whack? Yeah, it sucks. The second problem I've found is that the expression pedal can NOT be reliably set to any other values than the default of: Min=0%, Max=100%. This sucks because I, personally, lie to set my volume pedals to Min=50%, Max=100%, so that I have a set rhythm volume (Min) and a set lead volume (Max). Easy, right? Well, these pedals don't seem to be able to do that. No matter how I've tried (and again, only on certain banks), it just goes backto factory default. So anyway, these are things you'll never hear from any of these gear review channels, because odds are, they don't actually use the gear they review enough to find all the practical flaws. What really irked me, though, is that the company's own support team was utterly clueless.
