My thoughts exactly! At $295, how can you go wrong? I bought an ST model with a maple neck for about $118. It was as nice or nicer than my mid 80's MIJ strat. Harley Benton guitars are an exceptional value.
I bought the Valeton TAR 20G after you did the review on it and I friggin LOVE it. I run it with chorus and delay through the effects loop, and an LPB-1 and an SD-1 in front of it. And it sounds AMAZING!!! Definitely gonna have to try this one out.
I too bought 1, and a week later, I bought a second one. Now I have an all inclusive stereo pedal board that I can turn on and off with the flip of a power strip switch. Kinda wanna try out the bass version now, so thanks Guitar max for compounding my G.A.S. problem ; )

I also bought a multi FX unit and I think it sounds great! I love how you are comfortable leaving the "gear snob" attitude at the door and aren't afraid of showcasing high end equipment as well as the budget gear. You don't bash and bash on the budget stuff either. Just honest, unbiased reviews. Hilarious way to give the whiners their comeuppance. Keep up the great content, man! Max did one bass review a few years back and I comment from time to time on how he should do more. I'd love to see his take on the Sire M3 bass which is the cheapest in a line of reasonably priced professional level basses endorsed by Marcus Miller. Most of them are Fender style basses, but the M3 has a modern design that metal bass players could dig. Last I checked, it could be had for around $400 or $500.

Also do you consider the amp speaker combination. Would like to see a video where a 3 watt amp is used and explain whether the loop function is available. Fact is I was able to put my fly 3's delay through both input and through the loop section of an amp. Still all units are working fine. No tonal or power loss as of over one years real time set.
Affordable FX unit(150 bucks) reviewed with an affordable guitar(350). Very cool! Usually these reviews are done with ridiculously expensive signal chains that the real end users of the product wouldn't usually have available.

Just out of curiosity I swapped an analog preamp against a Mooer GE150. First I was pretty impressed. And then I realized this "throatiness" that another reviewer on YT was talking about. Also the amp models from the 55 or so stored ones, sounded all the same, just as if they more or less just re-voiced one model. I let my ears rest, tried the next day and again I was quite eager to play. But after a while I noticed that there's a wah like frequency in every model. Especially if you play a power chord on the A string around the 5th fret. I looked into comments and many said it is actually sitting well in the mix because of that. For me it just reveals that you should rather stick to analog pedals combined with IR or use virtual amp sims in your DAW which have a far more superiour tone than these cheap modelers. The Mooer might still act as an FX unit for my FX loop but other from that it's an annoying and even overpriced unit imho. Don't know if the Valeton is better.

I just got this Valeton a few weeks back and loaded all my favourite IR’s in it. I use all the usual effects for tone then run it through my Randall and sounds awesome. 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🎸🎶

I always thought that because the front end utilizes the pre-amp( i.e. colors the sound with the tone and gain controls of the amp) that any multi-effects unit should bypass the pre-amp. I run Amplitube software through an interface to a tablet into the effects loop to a passive pa but never tried it through the front end of the amp. Hmm!

I have a gp-100. Mine shoots .357 magnum rounds. We should do a shoot out between the Valeton gp-100 and the Ruger gp-100.
I had a 4" GP100 in stainless. Great shooter, but it was heavy as hell. That's the only reason I got rid of it.
