Amazing work Leo! This proves that NUX has the best IR capabilities for it's price range! Sounded natural and open to my ears. The other pedals suffered to sound true to an amp to me.
Thanks Leo, a most excellent review - you obviously put a lot of work into that! I agree with your conclusion that the Nu-X MG-300 produced the best sounds and has the nicest software interface, despite coming bottom in your technical comparison. It seems to me that this unit is aimed squarely at the domestic market, where build quality and lots of i/o are less important than quality of sound. Nu-X seem to have made all the right compromises for this market, as you suggested in your dedicated review of the unit. It is also very competitively priced compared to the other units.
I was happy to hear from both of you that the NUX MG300 wins in best sound. Mine is to arrive by mail 2 hours from now. I can’t wait to try out this plastic thing. 😂
In the US we do not have Harley Benton. However a new multieffects unit came out last year in the US called the Flamma FX100 and looks exactly like the Harley Benton and uses the exact same software. and has identical specs. We also have the Mooer GE 150 in the US. Great review!
Great comparison review. I got the NUX because of your past review. I can vouch for the realistic tone of the NUX. It seems NUX focused all their efforts on the tone. All These units offer different trade offs depending on personal preference.
Great video as always! I really like your comparison videos, they're the most educational and most complete comparison videos in all UA-cam... This specific one really helped me decide which one to buy for my daughter who is a beginner, and that is the Mooer GE-150. The deciding factors were: 1. It has the most number of effects, amps, cabs, so my daughter really can explore more, 2. It has the longest looping time that would really help her play around with different riffs, 3. It is the lightest, most portable and most trendy-looking, that I think would really attract younger users, hehehe, 4. The NuX may sound the closest to the real thing, but I really like the warmer sound of the Mooer GE-150 more... also, I'm not sure if it's just the video, but I noticed that in your effect switching part, the NuX seemed to kill the sound for like half a second when switching to a different effect, which for me, not a good thing in live situations. Of course, these are really not the types of processors that one would use in live gigs, not to mention that it's for my daughter as a beginner's gear, but still, worth mentioning. But then again, I'm not sure if that only happened in this specific video. Thank you for making these content, very, very helpful! Edited: I forgot to mention that you really, really are a great guitar player!
Hi, thank you so much! I'm super happy that you like the video and found it useful!! Thank you also for your compliments related to my guitar playing...it really means a lot to me! Your support and appreciation is very important for me!!!
32 bits in ADC/DAC is a pure marketing. The noise caused by quantization with 24 bits is much lower than noise caused by frequency jittering of ordinary (cheap) digital circuits (quality of 24 bits is not reachable) . So that 32 bits literally gives nothing. (and i am not saying yet about ordinary analog noises, those are thousands times bigger than any digitals) By my opinion the leader is Valeton. Great review. Thank you!
The Nux MG 300 seems to be the best buy for tones, but for me build quality matters, if only they had used a full metal case, and a larger display. For now i will wait and see if they release a better made model improving on this ones weak spots. This is by far the best review on UA-cam, i will subscribe to your channel, thank you for your excellent presentation.

I hope the NUX manufacturer puts a separate pedal position for the Booster pedal (not put in the category of effects pedals given a yellow color mixed with overdrive pedals or distortion pedals this has already happened in the Nux MG100). This booster is indispensable for guitar solos, where for guitar solos you need 2 effect pedals simultaneously overdrive / distortion and a booster pedal to amplify the volume during guitar solos.
You are welcome! Good point...I don't know...I would suggest to check out the manual to verify if there is the Midi Map ... if not available, I would doubt that midi is supported. Thank you!
Same IR comparison 12:28 Vox 12:44 Mooer 12:59 HB 13:15 Valeton 13:31 Nux (top boost) 14:48 Marshall 15:00 Mooer 15:12 HB 15:24 Valeton 15:36 Nux 17:28 Marshall + TS 17:48 Mooer 18:08 HB 18:28 Valeton 18:48 Nux Not sure about the Vox, but if you "match EQ" the Marshall simulations to the real amp recording, you get 99% similar sound. The remaining 1% could be different harmonics. I believe the Valeton is the closest to the amp without the matching thing. The Nux has something strange in the gain structure. Some strange muddiness that neither the amp and the Valeton have, which is surprising, considering the technically superior A/D conversion. Finally a tip: you can easily apply the matched EQ curve to the IR file an the import the result in the multi fx!

Very good overview. Which one has the best drum beats and drum sounds? And what about latency? I read somewhere that the NuX MG300 has worse latency than some, especially when using its amp & cab modellers. Or maybe it's due to the 48k sampling. This could be an issue for me, as I need good quality recording. Any thoughts?
Great video and review like usual! You really are coming into your own as a fantastic UA-camr! Love your playing and creativity which shows off the pluses and minuses of each modeler. I'm impressed with the NUX (really all of them sound pretty good with usable tones). I'd love to hear the NUX compared with the more expensive modellers like the POD Go, FM3, Ampero, etc. It would be interesting how it fairs against stuff costing many times more than the NUX. God bless and rock on 😎👍🎸
Thank you! Your compliments really mean a lot to me!!! Yes, I'm actually also curios to compare the tone of the NUX against the real deal and the FM3...I think I will do it...thank you for your suggestion!
@@reinhardmuller9137 You are correct, I was interested in this pedal before it’s release and initially it was supposed to alternatively run on 4 AA batteries however they eliminated that feature before production. Thank you for pointing that out, I will edit my previous comment.
Very complete video as usual. My only question is: is there any chance you tested these pedalboard with earphone? I mean, directly in the headphone jack of the pedalboard. Which one is the best? Thanks for your videos
I'd totally grab the Harley Benton along with one of their pedal boards if they didn't want $80 to ship to the US. And their Reverb store only sells guitars.
Hi. I have a sugestion to improve the velocity on patch changes. If you have 2 equal patches and change between them you will hear better the gap. Por exemple, if you do that with a Boss Gt-1000 you wont hear no difference or gap while changing between 2 equal patches. Cheers

Man, your videos are the best. They are always very detailed and precise, not to mention that you play amazing, that's why I follow your channel. Thank you very much for your content and keep going. One question, are the "NUX amp academy" amps the same as the "MG 300" amps?! Thanks a lot!!! Cheers.
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the channel...it really means a lot to me!!! In terms of tone they are very similar, almost identical. I have not done a direct comparison, but they sound very similar. Nevertheless I think that the DSP has been updated, as for instance the latency is much better in the Amp Academy. Thank you once more!
The problem with you is that you could plug into a washing machine and make it sound good. It's really difficult to tell which unit is better as you clearly manage to get the best out of each...
Nice work Leo!! Great chanel. I can’t understand because the HB and Mooer doesn’t allow to change the order of effects.... this is a grain of sand. HB is the guy.
Hi, thank you, really appreciated!!! I would just like to add the these units are pretty cheap so they need to save some money in some way. Anyway I agree with you that the possibility to change the order is a pretty useful and basic functionality. Thank you for you message!
The cab ir. has the biggest gamecjager lately. they become so good. & you can choose so many & that’s almost the biggest sound quality Q. than i don’t get why such options does not go in every such unit. in my opinion nux blows all the rest easily due just on that one thing. + the audio quality seems to be better on paper as well. so ... why you need those tons of effects you don’t use . if you could have just few but great ones.
*By far the Mooer loses that just disappointed me a lot, and by far NUX wins... The VALETON surprised me for good ... I didn't think it sounded so good ... I really didn't expect it ... It's almost like the NUX MG300 THANKS and LIKE*
Thanks for this Leo. Probably the most comprehensive pedal review that I've ever watched. Just wanted to ask, have you tried using the valeton for a bass guitar? It's my first time purchasing a multi-fx, and thought what a deal it would be if I could use my on my bass as well. Only thing that is stopping me is the problem that you encountered with it and the tone of the NUX, lols! And if is it even worth relying on it bass guitar-wise.
Great work as always Leo ! interesting to know that the Harley benton is the same as the Mooer, i was thinking that when you made the technical comparison and then you said it.
Thank you, really appreciated! Yes, also if you take a look at the user manual, the amp models are exactly the same and in the same order...thank you for your message!
I would buy the Harley Benton, because the sounds can be matched up with EQ and Compressor features. More flexibility, more versilaty and the less price. These are catagories which counts! Even the Valeton is not bad for it's price!
I'm really curious about the new MG 30. If it's any upgrade to MG 300 tone wise, than with additional features and 300$ price point it will put ampero and mooer 250 to shame. And it has type C USB, finally...
Hi, yes, the MG 30 seems quite a compelling option...I'm working on my review right now.... NUX allows me to upload it since march the 5th...so stay tuned... Thank you for your message!
May I ask If you tried to connect Mooer and HB via the Micro USB OTG port to your Mac? It only works this way on PC either. The USB B port is only for editing presets and firmware update. Mooer writes this in their manual but HB does not. Took me two days to find out. Cheers from Germany, Thomas.

You're welcome. I think you'll get better as time goes on. And you're perfectly fine now. I'm gonna comment and watch as many videos of yours as I can to show support. See you on the comment threads! Have a great day
Thank you once more!!!
This video has rally help me a lot. Thanks for talking the time of detailing each aspect!
Hi, thank you! I'm really happy to have been of some help!!!!
OMG i was looking for someone to show me the way, and found it!!! now im on my way to buy that Valeton :D Cheers all thw way from Portugal you the best ;)
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the video!!!
Amazing work Leo! This proves that NUX has the best IR capabilities for it's price range! Sounded natural and open to my ears. The other pedals suffered to sound true to an amp to me.
Thank you, I'm happy to have been of some help!
Thank you also for sharing your opinion!
thanks for this man.i was actuallyin thorn between nux and mooer thanks to your comparison i decided to go to nux because it fits my taste, tone wise
You are welcome and I'm really happy to have been of some help!
Hi Richard, I do agree you! Thank you for your message and the compliments that make me happy!
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the review!
Thank you also for sharing these info!
Out of the 3 which is better? I know that they are clones of the mooer but which of them sounds the best?
@@jesseparrish9198 I think they are just clones of each other so they basically sound the same
@@dbreardon thank you for replying back
Great comparison review. I got the NUX because of your past review. I can vouch for the realistic tone of the NUX. It seems NUX focused all their efforts on the tone. All These units offer different trade offs depending on personal preference.
Hi, yes, I do agree. Thank you for letting me know and for sharing your opinion!
Excellent review Leo. Comparison sorted it for me. Nice playing too!
Thank you!!! I'm really happy that you like it!
You really take passion in making videos and music. Mad respect for you Leo! Keep making helpful videos. Much love from the Philippines!
Thank you Kevin, your message and appreciation is really important for me!!! You give me the energy to go on...thank you!
Great comparison!!! Nux has the similar algorithm of amp modeling( nux tsac hd) as fractal. That’s why sound is so realistic... I will buy one ...
Thank you, really appreciated! Yes, actually I'm doing a video about it...also comparing the MG300 with the FM3...stay tuned 😊
In my opinion, Nux so good to my ears. But, The Nux have a material quality that is not strong enough. So i choose The Valeton for my Opinion ❤️.
Ok, thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much once again Leo! The amount of time and effort you put into your videos are truly appreciated.👍

Thanks for all of your videos!
I'm binge watching them right now!
Very well made videos!
Thank you, really appreciated!!
@@LeoGibsonGtr No thank YOU!
I got a YT channel, I know all the effort you put in your videos.
That's a hella lot of work you did!
32 bits in ADC/DAC is a pure marketing.
The noise caused by quantization with 24 bits is much lower than noise caused by frequency jittering of ordinary (cheap) digital circuits (quality of 24 bits is not reachable) . So that 32 bits literally gives nothing. (and i am not saying yet about ordinary analog noises, those are thousands times bigger than any digitals)
By my opinion the leader is Valeton.
Great review. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Thank you for sharing your opinion and experience!
Thanks for all the detailed work! The veridict is that we are highly spoiled and can get so much for so cheap these days 😁
You are welcome and thank you so much for sharing your findings!!
What an excellent, in depth review 👏👍
But I still can't decide!!
Thank you, really appreciated!!!
Thank you Allan, for the compliments and for sharing your opinion! Your sub really means a lot to me!
@@LeoGibsonGtrthis review really details. thankyou. which one will you personally choose?
The NuX sounds so good. It would be interesting to hear how this compares to the Ampero line.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion... good point!
Damn dude... You're good!!! U should have at least 1M subs. I bough NUX MG300 becoz of ur prev review, without seeing this comparison video. Luckyly i pick the right one. Despite of less features, NUX has the best tone, especially the screamer! and for me that kills everything else. In realty u only need +/- 10 present, 200 is just too much, LOL. Thanks dude
Thank you, great compliments, that makes me happy!!! I'm also happy to have been of some help!!!
Thanks Leo, this is super helpful. Helped me make the best decision. Fewer features, better tone for me!
Thank you John, I'm happy that you have found the video useful!!

hey man thank You so much, here in my country are very hard to get the mooer and the Harley Benton, so I was between the Valenton and the NUX but now I know witch one I should to buy, once again thank you

Man! Congratulations! I'm impressed with your organization on every step! Bless ya!
Thank you Lucas, I'm super happy that you like the video!!!
I think Harley Benton repackaged the Mooer. It's pretty obvious you're getting the same unit. Awesome video with great comparisons via audio and specs. These comparison vids must take forever to create with so many comparisons....but thank you very much. It's only this sort of thing that allows people to make informed choices.
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video! Yes, HB = Mooer...👍
Wow excellent job in all aspects. You are going to be the new go to guy for gear reviews! Thanks!

This demo song is amazing. Nice comparison, I did not get a conclusion to which one I would pick, they are so the same good quality.
Thank you Fernando...when you like my music .... I'm happy!!!!
A lot of work went into this video. The Nux did have the best tone, but I would only buy it as an additional pedal. I would get the Mooer if this were going to be my only multi-effects unit. Thanks again for a great review and great playing.
Thank you, really appreciated! Thank you also for sharing your opinion with us!!!
Lol, DNAfx and GE-150 have exactly the same specs.
Awesome comparisons btw.
Amp and overdrive pedal names also look exactly the same. :)

Excellent in-depth review...Did you also try out the Sonicake Matribox? is it better than the pedals you reviewed in this video?

Yes, I have reviewed the Matribox and you can check out the review here: ua-cam.com/video/IN75UFqT7ys/v-deo.html
It's hard to tell if it is better or worse....I should do a direct comparison to judge...for sure it's an option to take into consideration.
Thank you!!!
Very nice video 👍. I came by your video by accident and I'm very glad I found it. Very much information and you don't seem biased twords any one product over the other . I'm subscribing and wish you much more luck!!!
Thank you Aaron, your sub really means a lot!!!
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion. It would be for sure a nice addition. Thank you for message!
I really appreciate your comparison of these four units. I do however wish that you had demoed the drum machine portion of these units.
Hi, thank you both for the compliments and for the suggestion! Maybe in a future video...
Tone wise the NUX JCM800 is the winner by a mile! Amazing value for money!
Hi, I also love the Nux model of the JCM 800….

Thanks for the informative video Leo. Do you know if any of these units support MIDI over USB to be switched from a MIDI track in a DAW?

Good point...I don't know...I would suggest to check out the manual to verify if there is the Midi Map ... if not available, I would doubt that midi is supported.
Thank you!
The stomp mode in the valeton gp 100 for live gigs as i let you activate up to three effects an once.
Hi, thank you for your message!
Same IR comparison
12:28 Vox
12:44 Mooer
12:59 HB
13:15 Valeton
13:31 Nux (top boost)
14:48 Marshall
15:00 Mooer
15:12 HB
15:24 Valeton
15:36 Nux
17:28 Marshall + TS
17:48 Mooer
18:08 HB
18:28 Valeton
18:48 Nux
Not sure about the Vox, but if you "match EQ" the Marshall simulations to the real amp recording, you get 99% similar sound.
Thank you for sharing!
Amazing song👍 It'll sure hit the charts if completed properly😎
Thank you, this is a great compliment!!! It would be great...but I would need a good singer....😊

Thank you for your hard work on this stuff. I shared your video and got a lot of positive and eye opening response.
You are welcome! Thank you so much for sharing, your support, appreciation and feebdack is really important for me!
Liked the review man.
Also that tele is beautiful!
Thank you, really appreciated!!! I do agree...this Tele is amazing!
I use it with headphones. It also sounds the best imo, despite all its limitations.
That is not true, the MG-300 does not run on batteries.
Hi, thank you for sharing...I didn't know that the posting price was so high...and that there was no availability in USA...interesting info, thanks!
Broo i was just lookin for this comparison

Wow, what a detailed video. Very helpful.
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you found the video useful!!!
Hi.
I have a sugestion to improve the velocity on patch changes. If you have 2 equal patches and change between them you will hear better the gap. Por exemple, if you do that with a Boss Gt-1000 you wont hear no difference or gap while changing between 2 equal patches.
Cheers

In terms of tone they are very similar, almost identical. I have not done a direct comparison, but they sound very similar. Nevertheless I think that the DSP has been updated, as for instance the latency is much better in the Amp Academy.
Thank you once more!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Thanks, man. What an interesting time to be a guitarist. Cheers!!!

Excellent, high quality, performance and review!

You are welcome and I'm really happy that you like the video!!!!
The cab ir. has the biggest gamecjager lately. they become so good.
Hi Janis, thank you for sharing your opinion!
As a musician you would always choose the one that gives you the best sound, I would choose the nux
Hi Luis, thank you for sharing your opinion!!!
Can you tell me why you choose nux?what the advantage for this pedal?sorry for my bad english..
in a general, all jcm800 simulations sounds bad but the nux sound best.
Seems to be the best amp modeling in this price range
Hi Marcus, thank you for sharing your opinion!!!

For me the NuX is the winner.
Better sound quality and more slots for 3rd party IRs + the low price.
Hi Jonny, thank you for sharing you opinion!!!
I would buy the Harley Benton, because the sounds can be matched up with EQ and Compressor features. More flexibility, more versilaty and the less price. These are catagories which counts! Even the Valeton is not bad for it's price!
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion.
Thx Leo, your work is 5***** ! 🙏🏻😉
Thank you so much!! I'm super happy that you like the video!!!
Incredible these simulators, are all so goods! But Valeton was closer in Real amp in all the comparations
Hi Fabricio, thank you for sharing!
May I ask If you tried to connect Mooer and HB via the Micro USB OTG port to your Mac? It only works this way on PC either. The USB B port is only for editing presets and firmware update. Mooer writes this in their manual but HB does not. Took me two days to find out.
Cheers from Germany,
