@@7jelly777 Now you have me wondering how distortion is made. High frequency cut outs? Or how much is cut out? BTFOM. All I know is that it really gets scrambled at the end of the batteries life, of course til it cuts out completely, volume and all.
Well the earliest forms of distortion were musicians slashing the fuck out of the speaker cones in their amps, but that isn’t based on any type of circuit. The first true distortion I believe was discovered by someone (I can’t remember the names at the moment) recording a bass track into a channel on a soundboard with a busted circuit. The story goes that they loved the sound it gave so much that they took the board apart and reverse engineered the circuit to create the first fuzz. To explain what distortion is, you have to visualize a typical looking sound wave form with peaks and valleys. All distortion does is increase the intensity of those waveforms past the threshold cutting off or “clipping” off the tops and bottoms of those waveforms. The more clipping, the more distorted the sound, and different circuits will clip the waveform in unique patterns given an amplifier a signature sound.
@@joshuawhitley5819 not sure if you said it but some others examples are from players cranking their amps to get distortion as I think some vintage amps from that era didn't have gain knobs.
Well actually most overpriced pedals are made so that you can hear the harmonic frequencies of each note and even though the basic circuits for effects like drive and distortion are pretty simple, a circuit that sustains the harmonics is more complex and utilises more expensive materials. Just ordered one to use with my portable clean amp, I’m so pumped!!
This actually blew me away haha thw sounds from that little thing are decent! Battery powered and belt clippable too so its probably make a decent little practice thing with some headphones
Most of these things if not all, sound WAY different with and without battery. If theres an actual adapter I would use that as much as possible.
@@johnbraucher1499 how could it though? It's all digital I imagine
Kemper, fractal has been ripping us off this whole time...!
Holy shit, i was expecting it to sound bad but now im happy it sounds really good.
I have been wanted to buy this product for a long time already, thanks for making this video.
price doubled.. now 42 bucks on amazon. I picked one up along with a Traveler guitar. work takes me out of town far too often...
"WHHHAAAAATTT?!?!?" love it.
That sounds pretty damn good for the price, amazing the deals you find from China.
Kinda makes you think about where a lot of companies get their stuff from
WHAAAAAAT?!? Dude. This was so frigg'n cool.
Greetings from Germany! Just ordered one for practicing. Thanks for the review, mate! Brotherly greetings!!
They make some really good stuff actually, totally worth checking out
"sounds good for a clean tone!" meanwhile, the signal is clipping and distorted to hell.
To be fair he plays metal so...
@@KCruB3ast1 no excuse
Jason Ochs twowentee fiv dolla ....
he's talking about the 'petrucci' clean tone who lives by the quote 'there's no such thing as too much gain..'
This is in all likelihood a paid advertisement for Ammoon, he turned on the crunch, totally unpleasant and fizzy right away. "WHAAAT?! That doesn't sound that bad!" Bruh, yeah it does. It sounds like what I'd expect from a 30$ amp modeller/processor. The Whats all sound increeeeedibly forced, lol
I can't tell if Fluff missed April Fools Day or is actually genuine about this
Make a song with all guitar tones coming from that pockrock, and call it WOT.
Very good demo man....I picked one of these up a few days ago.....its awesome! I would have loved to have had one of these when I was living in an apartment before I bought my house....Its great! I was looking for something to just add some accessories and didn't want just an overdrive pedal but didn't want to spend on a fully loaded pedal board but also didn't want to have to buy a bunch of pedals....dealing with all the cables etc....I decided to give this a try.....Its pretty great....it sounds awesome.....And there are so many different options and settings for it! Can't beat the price, mine was a little over $40 with shipping, and I was expecting it would sound like a kids' musical toy....Like a toy keyboard or something but the sound is outstanding! Great demo! I already have been jamming with this great little accessory but I wanted to check out some demos on UA-cam and your guitar looks awesome! :) You should do another video with you doing some more in-depth licks on the different settings too :)
Love your energy man, Thanks for inspiration
I'm surprised that you're this surprised. It's literally just changing the noise. Most of the money goes to originally programming the equipment to begin with. After that, plastic and copper my dude. Lol. Most pedal co.panies charge a lot more because they use brushed aluminum or stainless steel housings for their pieces of wire and plastic chips lol
Sounds exactly like every band's first demo ever, which makes sense
What ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak English in What!?
Hahaa
Half way through the video, I said, screw it! And went on amazon for $ 39.99 with FREE next day shipping. Click his link for amazon and WHaaat! You own it. How can you go wrong at this price???🙌
We definitely need to hear it in a full mix!
