Venom is the most popular Spider-Man villain to ever exist. So popula that he was forced into spider-man 3 on sheer recognition alone, (clip) was the main selling point of marvels spider-man 2, generated his own popular comic series, Has his own film series that will become a trilogy, is a heavily merchandised character, and will likely become a huge part of the mcu, So yeah, its pretty clear that venom is monumental in terms of recognition, and with every piece of spider-man media, means that venom will eventually become involved,using one of his many backstories. There are typically 3 origins for where the venom symbiotic came from. And with each new addition to his origins, a new element would be added to the character. So let’s briefly go over each one.

I like both
monster to criminals, campy anti hero to everyone else
Bit of both, when he's in action, monster, in private, could be campy but maintain the edge

Fun fact about the creation of venom in the comics todd MacFarlane who co created venom said that he created venom because he got tired of drawing spiderman in the black suit and decided to give someone else the black suit.
From what I heard in a old interview Todd didn't like the black suit and just wanted to draw Peter in the classic red and blue... Which I don't blame him I would have thought and wanted the same thing if I was in his shoes

@@haydenk3091 Spider-Man’s black suit was created by a fan during a survey. The idea of venom was created by McFarlane, which was inspired by the black suit.
@@lofi_njb He wasn't wearing the symbiote at that point. He was wearing a cloth version of the suit, given to him by Black Cat. He changed suits depending of the writer. Todd McFarlane didn't like to draw It, and because he was so popular, they created Venom and made Peter stop wearing the cloth version
Ultimate venom is such a creepy concept in the ultimate spider man game it truly made him a horror monster that haunts peters life . i wonder if the new ultimate spiderman run will be able to top this version in desing and horror elements.
I think the creators described him or it as a walking tumor in parts grown from Spider-Man, Scary.
616 Venom: A Lethal Protector and The King in Black
Sonyverse Venom: A symbiote with a childish and goofy demeanor that has a habit of Eating people's brains in a comedic way
Ultimate Venom: A Ferocious, Carnivorous Beast that stalks the night and lurks in the dark.
I love Venom in the 616 continuity because of his will redeem himself due to his relationship with Eddie Brock's son, Dylan.
Ultimate Venom however is a merciless Monstrosity that shows no mercy to destroy everything in its path.
I love Sonyverse Venom because he's the best 🖤
The scariest form of Venom is the one where the Symbiote used Peter as a host that he can put some dirt on everyone's eye.
Without this connection to Spider-Man, Sony's Venom feels like a less layered Venom and more like The Mask.
It's fascinating to see how they substitute aspects of Venom's origin in which Spider-Man played a massive role, but he feels incomplete somehow.

I actually disagree. While Spider-Man does play a big part in his origin I think the Sony movies handled it well not having a Spider-Man tied to him.
In his own comics he’s pretty much an anti hero. He protects people that are too weak to protect themselves just lethally. When Spider-Man Isn’t on his on mind he’s a pretty chill dude.
I feel like they did a good job taking what worked from his solo runs while giving him an origin that made sense without the need of Spider-Man.
@Joecbg100 the Sony venom movies are actually pretty accurate adaptations of Venom as a character if they erased Spiderman, they got the personality and dynamic down.
They should have made the venom movies rated r They legit wasted Carnage in a pg13 movie lol 😭

For the reason why Venom goes after Spidey and the aggression is because of Peter's memories of his foes and believes he is a better Spider-Man than him

3:53 I believe the Avengers sequel isn’t adapting the first Secret Wars and instead it will be adapting the other Secret Wars story. Y’know the one that erased the Ultimate universe and brought miles into the 616 Universe.
Is that the one they’re adapting? I haven’t heard anything about that.
It's the main reason Russo Bros won't be directing it. They wanted to make Beyonder and Battle World like the 80s version, not the recent Doctor Doom multiversal war version.

I love venom from the cartoons and comics.... hate how he's portrayed in the movies.... Eric Foremans version was closer than Tom Hardy's somehow.
I mean venom’s personality in the Venom movies was pretty accurate to the one In lethal protector (with the only difference being that it’s the Symbiote that has this personality and not eddie

I might seem a little biased because Spiderman 3 was the only film I ever first saw Venom when the film came out even though he wasn't perfect I like the effort they put in the makeup so he would look realistic.

They’ll be able to do venom in the mcu Sony venom’s last movie is this year. Secret wars(without delays) will be released in 2027 and I guess that spider-man 4 will happen maybe 2028 or 2029 if we’re lucky.
They never really addressed the plot thread of a piece of the Venom symbiote being stuck in the MCU Earth (616) in the mid-credits of NWH. No mention of it hopping around and bonding with various hosts. And since Spider-Man 4 is most likely going to be street-level, I'm not sure if the whole symbiote plothole is gonna be addressed. Maybe not until Avengers: Secret Wars?
Funny that Sony can actually use Spider-Man in their Sonyverse movies but they don't for some reason
Maybe because the Sonyverse they don't want to mess with the MCU by using Tom, Tobey's story has basically had its conclusion and it being confirmed that it isn't the same universe as TASM

My only issue with a rated R Venom portrayal is that he would make such a cool horror villain that I feel it would be too easy to turn him into The Thing/Blob in terms of body horror.
Still love the way the symbiote looks/moves in sm3 way more compared to all the other versions

I wanted this to be about their many Origins and which media pieces adapted them. It wasn't structured like a traditional version of these videos for that reason.

Venom in Earth-1045 for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is like the most ferocious, defiantly irritating boss. I prefer him. I can't wait to see MCU Spiderman vs. MCU Venom or MCU Spider-Man facing to dress into MCU Symbiote Spider-Man. I lovely appreciate Ultimate Venom. He is made as a secret human weapon. He wants to keep on wrecking the life of Peter Parker until he sucks into a trap.

Controversial opinion but i bloody love topher graces venom.
its good. raimi did what he could with a character he didn't really know or care about. a few things about the adaptation is iffy, but overall topher and raimi did a decent job. at least, much better than stuff like sony venom or spidermid 2 venom
