She was just 17 at the time, she started with classical studies and acoustic guitar and after a decade jumped into electric. She didn't miss a single note and played that masterpiece faster than it's creator. Beethoven would bow with respect to her talent. Any musician that's familiar with Ludwig's work would tell you that specific movement is his most complicated, demanding and fast piece he wrote... She did it even faster... 😂 She is just insanely talented

No matter how many times I watch her play, I am mesmorized watching her fingers, so much speed, precision and clarity of every single note, mixing techniques at speed beyond normal human capabilities. I think this is the piece of music to send in the next probe we will to deep space as message from mankind to any alien able to listen. I have never watched nor enjoyed a video as many times as this one. I miss it when I have not heard or watched it for a few days. And her tribute to Vivaldi is also mind blowing.
Now she is back in a band, Spin Twice, but I wish she made complete albums of classical music played like that. She has way too much talent to just play in a band, she must be the star of the show, no matter what. Tina forever.

I have always wondered as well, how would the classical artists of the past react to modern adaptations of their music. I'm sure they might be shocked, but fascinated at the same time. I've always had a thread of classical influence inside me, despite the fact I have been into progressive rock for a while. I don't think that different genres of music are necessarily exclusive of each other. There is a huge overlap, I think.

If anybody was wondering about the wide band on her left arm, it's not fashion. It's called a _cryo-collar,_ which purpose is to circulate coolant to her wrist so her tendons don't overheat and thermally damage the surrounding tissue. It also provides a side benefit of acting like a weightlifting belt to provide wrist support to keep those tendons from bursting out through the back.
Of course, I could just be making that up.

How is it possible for you or anyone else to refer to this Tina S. as a "little girl"? That's an extremely patriarchal and patronizing term to refer to this WOMAN as. I don't have any idea what your conceptions of "little girl" and "woman" are but they're sure as Hell different than mine. I think of "little girls" (bless their hearts) as playing with dolls and Tina S. as a woman who is the greatest guitarist of all time.

@@juliavanblarcom8666 Thank you, Julia, for your kind reply. What I appreciate most about it is how respectful you are. This discussion is very ironic because I taught at a university and couldn't bring myself to call my female students "women." This despite the fact that almost all were in their 20s or 30s. In fact not a single female, out of over 1500, ever referred to herself or to her female classmates as a woman. They ALWAYS referred to themselves as "girls." Even my sister, when she was in her 50s and 60s, referred to herself and her same-aged peers as"girls." But for me it is SO different with Tina. Because I regard her as the greatest guitarist in the world, it is impossible for me to refer to her as a "girl." If she were 13 years old but could play at her present level I'd have to refer to her as a "woman." Like I said, it's very ironic because in general I can't bring myself to call a female a "woman" unless she's in her 40s. At the same time, I won't call a male a "man" unless they're in their 40s. This makes no sense, I know, and the person who called me out was right to do so. But as a guitar player for 50 years I can super appreciate Tina's amazing skills and have to put her on a pedestal, rightly or wrongly. Thanks again for the kindness of your reply.

Most people's reaction starts after just a few seconds of Tina.
The chin drops and stays there for 6 minutes.
At the end, most people are quietly in a state of shock for a long time, struggling to find words to put what they have heard and seen into words.
And in the end you have to realize that there are no appropriate words for something like that.
I am convinced that even the best guitarists in the world to date have realized that, just like music, history has to be rewritten.
Talent No, that's pure skill on a level I've never heard of before.

She's a Savant... This kinda play isn't something you practice you're born with it. This is why she can outplay EVERYBODY. She does covers for all the greatest guitarists and she takes a back seat to no one. What amazes me is how she takes on their persona and play as well. This is never more evident than the cover of Gary Moore's "The Loner". She bends those strings and hits that wammy just like he did. I couldn't even tell the difference it sounded to me exactly like Gary playing. Yeah Gary has arisen from the dead! However she does the same thing with all the others as well. I believe with her new band (she's 25 now) she'll pick up more of her being Tina and not someone else. Yep hope to hear longer and longer riffs atta her. This is what Steve Vai and Herman Li and others do on tour. Yeah when you hear these guys you KNOW who they are.

She's not bored; she's concentrating really hard.
Beethoven Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement is a Royal Conservatory top level exam piece and can take months to master without mistake on the piano; it's the same for electric guitar.
When my nephew, who is studying jazz drums at the University of Toronto is concentrating really hard, he also makes a sort of "duck face" that she does in the video.
She started classical guitar at the age of 6. She switched to electric at 12-13. She's 17 in this video. She hasn't uploaded anything since December 2018.
Many assume she's in university atm and most of her fans are waiting eagerly for her return.
