I've been listening to all kind of guitar music for over 50 years and this young lady is unquestionably the best I have ever heard. Go to her you tube channel, there are lots more clips. She started when she was 6 I think and has put thousands and thousands of hours of practice into playing. It shows. Her skill, passion and dedication are apparent. It is such a shame that she withdrew because some could not handle how good she is and trolled her. Maybe one day she will reappear to give us more happiness. She has recently turned 21 and so has probably completed her studies. The world is just that little bit poorer without such an outstanding talent practicing their craft.
Do you know for sure that she withdrew because people were jealous? Because I had simply heard that it was because she was at college and she's the type of person to give 110% to everything she does!
I am almost in tears how good she is. This is something that should inspire almost any guitarist out there who has a passion for any form of metal music. Oh, how sad (for us) is that she has disappeared from public communication. Hope she is happy now, whatever she does. Every of her youtube videos makes me happy.
She was 15 here. 17 when she did Beethoven. She did a cover of Dream Theater which they used to play on the big screen during the intermission of their shows. The crazy thing is that when Dragonforce do this, they have two guitars; there are spots here where she is playing both parts.
Correction, Tina S was born in April of 1999, she posted her cover of Through the Fire and Flames in March of 2015 which makes her 14 still at the time when she did the cover, which to me makes it more impressive.
listening to Tina S makes the guitar emotionally exceptional! it is not about songs played by her but a part of herself that she gives us each time. I don't think it will ever disappear from the world of the guitar because it still has a lot to give! we need her so much to feel alive. I humbly thank her for what she is.
Huge respect to Herman Li for reacting to Tina playing his creation and being humble about it. Saying "What could she have done better? Am I even qualified to say?" That speaks volumes in itself! Tina and her guitar are as one!!
You wanted to know if any of the artists whose songs she performs have reacted to her, well, Herman Li just posted his reaction to her cover of 'Through the Fire and Flames'. You won't be surprised by his reaction.
She had a top-flite guitar teacher. At age 14 (I think), she did a wonderful guitar solo on Dream Theater's, Best of Times. When Dream Theater performed in Paris, John Petrucci and the band wanted to meet her. Those arrangements were made and they met.
As Alex picked up on she plays so clean. I mean EVERY note is clear. You can really here this when she plays repetitive passages. I mean they're absolutely identical every single time. She never misses a single note as fast as she is. And think about this too. EVERY note is coming atta that brain of hers.
I've listened to Tina dozens of times, whether it's classical or modern, from Vivaldi to Pink Floyd. When I see her play, it's all talent and hard work.

I hate to diminish what she can do by referring to a movie but there is a scene in Good Will Hunting where the mathematics professor tries to critique Will on a solution to an equation and Will basically tells him to get real, his solution is correct. And then says to him, "Do you know how easy this is for me? ...this is a f*ckin' joke!" after which he proceeds to burn the paper the equation is on as the self absorbed professor panics and dives for it attempting to put out the flame and save it from being destroyed. I think that is what Tina S. did to youtube. There were actually fools accusing her of being fake and down voting her for simply sharing her gift with us. She had enough of that. She offered her last equation to put them to shame, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, and after lighting it on fire and sending it out into the jungle we know as youtube, casually left the room smirking.
