    Using water on water based markers is hardly mind-blowing. This just feels like a short, cheap infomercial, and the _endless_ affiliate links in the description look BAD. It makes your reviews a LOT less trustworthy. Also worth noting: watering down cheap glitter markers doesn’t give you a metallic watercolor effect. It just looks like you’ve spread your medium too thin. Get _good_ mica/pearl watercolors from Finetec, Coliro, or Kuretake Gansai Tambi.

    • @awenbunny
      @awenbunny 5 років тому

      Mica and/or pearl watercolours will not give you a “glitter” effect. Neither has glitter in them.

      sooo don't watch then lol. She has been an outlet for Tonic products for awhile now, her followers know that, maybe you noobs should take your negative uppity butts over to some gallery opening and stop confusing fine art supplies with crafting materials, and I say that as an artist ( wink lol). Fine quality pigmented watercolor mediums are a completely different product, no one is saying these are Winsow Newton level materials geez.. If you already own these this was a simple alternate use/idea for them. It"s called "fun" you should try it sometime instead of griping all over youtube. I'll bet you are the type who complains about messes and hates glitter etc lol. the best mica btw is cosmetic grade, I used to work for a bulk supplier, their sources have to meet fda standards and the quality is bar none the best, if you need mica in your watercolor pans go that route. That is of course if you want the very best top shelf ingredients ( your snobbish comment implies you do lol).

  • @RJ-mn7rn

    The bright pink paint completely dissapears on black paper, that's a bad art supply; there's better and more versatile glitter paints out there.

    • @moemanley2579
      @moemanley2579 3 роки тому

      as a graphic artist and purchasing agent of art supplies let me say you are completely wrong. These are not glitter paints, they are markers, and they are not 100% opaque. If you paint you know not all colors are 100% opaque based on ingredients etc. If you want opaque paint pens I would suggest Pasco brand paint pens, though they do not contain glitter. It would be hard to supply both a thicker opaque paint and a fine glitter through a nib without constant clogs, but more importantly the glitters sheen would be retarded by the thick opaque paint, it needs a semi transparent base to be effective. I've been using acrylic, oil, watercolor paints and mediums for over 35 years and used to meet with reps from Winsor Newton etc and attend trade shows. These markers are not only good quality they perform well and consistently.

  • @yenneferofvengerberg61
    @yenneferofvengerberg61 5 років тому

    Sorry but this is lame and not replacing watercolors. You can do this with any water base markers nothing new.

    • @moemanley2579
      @moemanley2579 3 роки тому +1

      no one said they would replace watercolor paint, they contain glitter, it's another use for them for people looking to use them in new ways. Maybe try not being so close minded and negative, there's no reason for it in the art world, none. I'll wager you do not own them, have never tried them, and are simply talking out your hat from behind a screen correct?
